《Lover's Day: Izuku Midoriya x Reader x Bakugou》FINAL CHAPTER: The Decision Part 1

You took a hot shower to calm yourself that evening. You returned to your bed, noting that your phone was lighting up. You grimaced, viewing the source.
(5:17 pm) Missed call from Izuku
(5:20 pm) Izuku: Hey, F/N. Are you okay? Tell me what's wrong.
(5:30 pm) Missed call from Izuku
(5:33 pm) Izuku: Can we please talk? Call me.
(6:09 pm) Missed call from Izuku
(7:12 pm) Izuku: I guess you are busy... But I wanted to let you know that if I did anything to upset you, I didn't mean to and I'm really sorry.
Bitter and strained, you decided to turn your phone off... and leave it off for the entire weekend.
"WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?!" Uraraka bellowed as you walked into school.
"Eh?!" You were startled.
"I've been trying to get ahold of you all weekend!"
"Oh... Sorry. I turned my phone off Friday. I... needed some time to think." You pulled the phone out of your purse and pressed the power button. "Holy shit..." You mumbled as 48 messages and mixed calls blew up your phone. The majority were split between Izuku and Uraraka, with a few stragglers from Tsuyu and Momo, and one lone text from Katsuki that simply said, "Hey."
"Exactly." She crossed her arms. "You can't just disappear off the face of the earth like that."
"Sorry." You apologized, scrolling through the missed messages.
"Here." She pulled out an envelope and handed it to you.
"What's this?"
"You should have answered your phone. Deku was pestering me all weekend about you." You flipped open the envelope to see a giftcard to the restaurant you had taken him to by the beach. A final desperate effort from Midoriya.
"There's a letter in here too..." You noticed, but didn't have the heart to read it.
"Yeah. I'm surprised he didn't give it to you when he went to see you on Saturday."
"Wait, what?" You questioned. "He came to my house?"
"You didn't see him?"
"No. I must have been out." You were relieved, yet somehow disappointed. Oh, how badly you wanted to reconcile with him. To have him beg on his knees for forgiveness so you could pretend that none of this ever happened.
"Yeah." She continued. "He stopped by and asked me for advice about you."
The memory quickly rushed back into your mind. 'Do you know what kinds of things Uraraka likes?' You scowled.
"And what did you tell him?" You asked.
"Nothing really." She sighed. "But he seemed really genuine about patching things up with you. I think he actually feels guilty-"
"Good." You snapped.
"It kind of made me wonder... if we are doing the right thing by making them feel this way..." Your eyes widened at her sudden doubts.

"You aren't thinking of backing out NOW are you?!"
"Well..."
"They deserve this." You concluded with resolve, placing your hands on her shoulders.
Iida called out to you and Uraraka from the lunch table. Midoriya raised a timid hand to greet you across the room. You glanced at them, then took Ochako by the arm and dragged her to sit at Bakugou and Kirishima's table. Sero, Mina, and Kaminari, who also sat with them, looked surprised to have you. You chatted everyone up in a friendly manner, making sure to slide into the seat next to Bakugou and flirt throughout lunch. Tuesday went by the same way. Whenever Midoriya would try to get your attention, you simply stared daggers at him until he recoiled or ignored his presence completely. After Monday you had not received any more texts from him.
You sat down to study for the rescue basics exam tomorrow. You went through the notes in order, condensing the information onto little color-coated notecards. You slid your paper out of the way moving on to... the notes that Midoriya wrote out for you. Your chest swirled with an alloy of mixed emotions. You fought back against them, just trying to study the words on the page. His writing was light and certain letters were curled with a flourish. "Wait a minute..." You murmured to no one. Why did that writing look brazenly familiar? You were sure you hadn't read his notes until now. Apprehension built in your throat when you realized where you had seen it before. You yanked your top desk drawer open, plunging your hand in for the love letter you received. You laid the original beautiful note overtop the other papers. You felt a pang as your suspicions were confirmed. The writing was practically identical. And the signature looked nothing like the rest of the note. 'HOW DID I NOT NOTICE THIS BEFORE?!' You mentally screamed at yourself.
All of the sudden, everything flew into your mind at once. This is what was missing. That last puzzle piece darted into place, completing the picture. Your mind went back to the day this began, replaying the events from these last 2 weeks with a new epiphany. "He only asked me about Ochako because of Iida..." You said, coming to your senses. 'Of course! That is why Iida approached me! Because Midoriya was too shy to do it himself. They switched places for the sake of the other. That explains Midoriya giving the book to him. They weren't playing us, they were trying to help the other in secret!' You remembered Ochako's lovely hair pins. 'And that's why Izuku thought to write me a letter and took me to the beach. Because that's exactly what I told to Iida!'
"Midoriya DOES care about me!" You laughed aloud at your own stupidity. You clutched your heart and looked up at the ceiling with elation. You remembered the evening that you spent at his house.

"It was you all along, Izuku... From the very beginning you did everything right." Your mind flickered from him holding doors for you on the first day to the soda he bought for you, to the night you spent at the beach, the precious lily he picked on the way to school, and finally to the beautiful letter he wrote. Right then, your smile disappeared. You thought about how you snapped at him that day. You relived that horrid rejection you felt when he asked you about Ochako. And after all of his thoughtfulness, you had still made him feel that way for an entire week! Guilt shrouded you like a blanket.
"What have I done?!" You asked yourself. 'How wretched you are! If you had just looked at the situation with some objectivity instead of ruining everything with your stupid teen angst, you could have prevented all of this!' You felt your heart break for every sad moment you caused him. Your face hit the desk, wishing you could take it all back. "I'm so sorry, Izuku." You whispered tearfully. Why had you just stepped on an angel's wings for no reason? You could not forgive yourself.
'Although... I could find a way to make this up to him... But what could possibly be enough?' There were only 2 more days before Lovers Day and you were running out of time. You left your test notes completely unattended and ran to find your parents. You told them all about Izuku and confessed everything you had done in a desperate plight for their help. Every ounce of effort in your body was going to be used to fix what you had done. Once you had settled on a suitable gift idea, you decided to sprint to the market before they closed.
You could not keep the joy from bubbling to your face the next day. It felt as though a deep miserable fog had been removed from your eyes. Everything was sparkling clear. You strolled merrily to the lunch table where Iida, Ochako, and Izuku sat. Wait... 'She's sitting with them?' Had she figured it out before you did? You noticed a new gorgeous silver necklace to compliment her hair pins. Ah. Iida got to her before you could, which you suppose was fine with you. You smiled at them, noticing Izuku avoiding direct eye contact. "How did the test go, F/N?" Iida asked.
"Oh, not well." You said, your smile as wide as ever. He looked flabbergasted.
"Then why are you smiling?!"
"There are more important things." You answered. "Anyway. I have a project to work on so I cant have lunch with you all, but can I talk to you really fast, Ochako?" She agreed, the same dumbfounded expression on her face. You pulled her to the corner of the lunchroom where she asked you what was going on.
"Midoriya wrote the letter." You said. She sighed in relief.
"Oh, thank goodness you figured it out!"
"You KNEW?!" You griped, turning your palms upward. "You were gonna tell me this WHEN exactly?!"
"Ah! Please don't be mad!" She begged, her hands in a prayer position. "Tenya just told me this morning." You nodded. "That explains why Deku's been beside himself all week." She added. You winced.
"I know, I feel awful about it." 'That's an understatement,' you thought in earnest, looking back in his direction longingly. You saw him and Iida watching you two, becoming frazzled when you caught them. They both aggressively returned to scarfing down their little bento boxes. You turned back to Ochako.
"What are you going to do?" She asked wistfully. Your smile returned, your gaze full of action.
"I'm going to win his heart this Friday!"
"Ooh! This is so exciting!" She squeaked in a high-pitched voice.
"Don't tell." You requested, knowing she was prone to honesty like you.
"I promise." She said, crossing her heart with her index finger. The two of you walked back to the table together.
"Izuku."
"Uh yes?" He looked like a kid with his hand caught in the cookie jar. He probably assumed you were going to be irritated at his eavesdropping attempt.
"Here." You said, pulling a can out of your bag. His green eyes narrowed in confusion. "It's a ginger ale. I figured I'd pay you back for the day you bought me one." Iida was making a suspicious face at you. You caught his eye with a euphoric gaze, flipping the can in his direction so he could see the little heart you had drawn on the bottom. His misgiving melted into an expression you could only describe as "knowing." You distracted Izuku so that he wouldn't see it. This was intended to make him hopeful again without ruining the whole surprise.
At that moment you finally saw what you had been waiting for: Midoriya's sweet smile. It felt as though a weight had been lifted off your shoulders, allowing your heart to soar. How you had missed his exquisite jade eyes and irresistible freckles staring back at you. It was something you didn't know your heart yearned for until you received it. He was a little tasty cinnamon roll just waiting to be taken. You savored the moment... probably a little too long. "Heh." You laughed nervously at yourself, standing upright. You ruffled his soft curls before making a swift exit from the cafeteria, wondering briefly what they would talk about after you left.
Your Lovers Day plans were well underway.

Flame Beneath The Snowfall
Alto is a world governed by Tones. Magic, as one might call it. Manifested through deep mental and physical conditioning, one can control the Tones in a way that is unique to them. The power to store items in gems, transfer life, affect a person's mind, and even the more primal abilities such as control of the elements. Those who have these supernatural abilities are called 'Vassals.' People that fully manifest their abilities are not as common as one might think, and not all Vassals acquire their ability through practice, given if conditions are met. In fact, those who had received much trauma manifest the Tones more frequently, albeit spontaneously. However, the rare kind of Vassals are those who manifest it from childhood. A gift, but not without its repercussions. Alto is stuck in a transitional era, where the line between modern and dated technology is blurred. One can travel to a city that has a tall skyline, bustling with people in sophisticated clothing, or a mere town governed by a lord, all the while riding on a powered vehicle. Cultures vary: Some turn to the more dated practices such as castes, others are more inclined to set equal footing on their people, led by nobility. Some are dedicated to become scholars, studying Alto's Tones, while others set foot on hunts, protecting lone towns from the creatures of some of the still-untamed lands. And the Vassals? Those willing are took under The Organization, an elusive group, its presence said to permeate all throughout Alto, taking care of Rogue Vassals that abuse their abilities and other businesses related to their side. But what is this story all about, you may ask? Well, set your sights on the upper portions of this huge landmass that is Alto. Yes, the 'whole' world is called Alto, but that is because the majority of the known people live on this large continent. Relieve yourself of the worrying tensions everywhere, and see the white snow. Trace the piercing mountaintops and focus your eyes between the valley. A town sits there. Mido. After realizing that the memories only left in his mind was the night of his town's imminent destruction in flames, a boy finds himself grasping for every fiber of his life as he lays down flat on the ground. Beneath him was soot mixed with the white snow. Fortunately, a group of investigators, who were supposed to answer their call for help, saved him from his sorry state. With a newfound second wind, but hampered by his loss of memory, he must solve his own case: Who had the audacity to set Mido, his town, aflame? Flame Beneath the Snowfall focuses on action, with a sense of adventure, but mostly the discovery of an outside world, and the protagonist's exposure to it. Add in a whisk of soft magical elements, and you get a story that I hope will be interesting to the readers. That is not to say that my work is without the sense of unnerving atmosphere, however. As a forewarning, there are elements of gore, horror, minor elements of mental trauma, etc. so it is not for all audiences. *The book is already completed. Although I have plans to continue the story (it would have to involve much larger scope in terms of world-building), I have yet to decide when to start the next entry.

The Novel's Extra's Extra
As a reader, Cristopher always looked for things that entertained him, didn't matter what the "critics" said, all that matters was his own opinion on the novel, so he started reading "The Novel's Extra", a webnovel that despicts an author who is transmigrated to his own novel. It was fun and all with its own good and bad points, really, one of his favorites novels at the end of the journey, and that's taking into account the little fact that he didn't have too many things he was able to enjoy, not in that empty shell that was called life for him... Why could someone be born like that? With a void inside, an endless void that slowly consumes oneself... But... for better or worse... everything changed one day, the same day he woke up to discover he had the same faith of the author whose novel he just finished reading, becoming an extra in a novel, becoming The novel's extra's extra... /Ok, now that's the description I thought of... first of all, for those of you who are reading this, if any, a few points I have to make clear: 1. I'm not an english native speaker, so if you find anything wrong in the text, please let me know, that would help me learn, and I would be thankful for that.2. I'm writting this out of pure "enjoyment", so while I'll try to be constant, I'll not make any promises.3. True reason why I'm writing this is because I'm going through a moderate to crippling depression right now (and no, is not because anything trully bad and horrendous happened to me, it seems to have something to do with my brain's malfuctioning, among other things), and doctors told me to try writing as I enjoy reading. So yeah, this is more like a self-help excercise, to keep myself distracted while trying to be safe from my self.4. I choose to make a fanfiction of "The Novel's Extra" as I don't trully know how to write, and because I really loved that webnovel, though there are some points I didn't particulary liked.5. If you see some (let's be clear, really much) self insertion on this series, well, that may be me trying to escape reality, to which I make an early warning and disclaimer, and also ask for forgiveness, as I said before, this is more of an excercise, so don't take it too serious.6. I'll be a slow writer, as I have to still check a few things from the novel, even when I've read it like 3 or 4 times already, and because I know shit about writing a novel or a series.7. If you get to enjoy this, then that's good, I would be glad about it, maybe even more motivated, but I don't really expect this to be any good. Thanks to you all who may, or may not, be reading this novel./
