In his new reality, he will meet both friends and foe, he will seek knowledge, he will build power, and perhaps he will even find love again? Follow Alan through his adventures, and find out for yourselves how he deals with the challenges thrown at him by a new world, while struggling with the issues brought with him from his old one. * Author’s note: A fair warning. This is the first time I’ve published anything, and basically the first time I’ve written anything more than mandatory school-stuff. The story will probably have inconsistencies, grammatical errors (not my native tongue, though that excuse is getting old), and potentially confusing (missing?) plot. I will naturally do my best to write something worth reading, but my main goal in writing this story is to have fun and explore the limits of my own creativity. My hope in publishing it here, is that I’ll reach someone who enjoy the story, and can push me forward towards writing more, as it is difficult at times to find the motivation to write just for myself. Additionally, I can’t really promise to have regular updates, as I have a full-time job that often likes to take the ‘full-time’ part literally, and a sporadic social life that occasionally surprises me (happy surprises mostly, so I shouldn’t complain). Somewhere in the Universe, ancient beings stir from their slumber, awoken by the system alert and the wall of glaring red warnings. Their greatest fear just manifested and they are hell-bent on erasing it from existence. -------- It is a slow-development story, so you won't find the MC with super powers at the beginning. -------- It is a coming of age story and focuses on a Talent system (in the beginning) with several additions that bring to the table upgrading of a planet’s tier and such (a bit later). There will be quite an amount of rebuilding society as new, unknown resources enter the economy, and a lot of travelling, delving and naturally, unlocking the secrets of the Universe. As for the setting, the story starts in XXI century, which technology-wise isn't much different from what we have now, but it is enhanced by magic associated with Talents. This allowed the humankind to colonize the solar system, but the technology that allows for interstellar travel doesn't exist (yet). Because it’s my first attempt at LitRPG, please be forgiving but constructive. Thousands of years has passed since the end of the racial war between Mortals/humans, Demonaics, Elturs, and Luk'Ag-uerans which shifted the barbaric world to a "peaceful" world. An orphan of a small village wakes up from a nightmare that prophesied their village would be raided by a Mortal army from an enemy kingdom. The child and his caretaker barely flees from the village and a few days later stumbles upon a "bandit camp" as the leader took pity in them and takes them inside their camp. Five years has passed as the orphan child and his caretaker went through hardships as apprentices of the leader, and as the orphan child about to rest another revelation comes into his mind that the camp will be raided by the same Mortal army that wreaked havoc onto his old previous home. However, five years of training was not enough to fend off against them and forced the orphan and his caretaker to leave the camp by the leader while they stayed and fought against the army until his last breath. From then on more revelations entered the mind of the orphan causing his body to weaken as if the revelations continuously consume his insides. How will he continue to live while the visions/revelations consume his vitality? And how will he be able to control these visions along the road? The first purist in Kaul'n will have to face many challenges ahead.
