Arima Koujiro, a middle-aged man who worked as a Yakuza was tired of his boring life. Being a Yakuza in modern time was not as exciting as he thinks it was when he read the stories about Yakuza in his childhood. Expecting life full of action and glorious fights with the rival Yakuza clan when he initially joined Yakuza, instead, he faced with boring ordinary office work with some "business visit" here and there to clients that late to pay their loans. On the night of his 40th birthday, he partied with a bunch of his colleagues on the penthouse apartment that he earned from his 20 years working as a Yakuza. Passed out after having too much drink, he woke up in the middle of nowhere instead of his apartment. Before he gets to process what happened and figuring out where he is, a blue hologram screen popped out in front of him with a mail sign in the middle of it. This is a story of Arima Koujiro fulfilling his dream of exciting and full of actions life that he always wanted. On a walk through the woods, an eccentric college student stumbles through a rift into a new world dominated by the alien and fantastical. Using his knowledge of the modern world, he seeks to uncover the mysteries of these new lands and protect those he comes to care about. Reality is much larger than he, or anyone, would have ever believed. What hides within, and beyond? NOTE: Keep an eye on the post-chapter author notes, I plan on using them to update y'all on progress, release dates, etc. along with the odd remark. WIP: Expect stupid mistakes to be made and maybe be fixed. I strongly encourage criticism (within reason of course) as I sincerly would like to improve my writing ability, so... Have at me!

Caution: While some parts of this story are funny and light-hearted, others are dark. This is a work in progress.

Hey! I once lived on your world back in 2056. But that was a long time ago and there’s probably no records of my existence. Or, maybe, I haven’t even been born yet… …I’m still figuring out of the timelines correspond. Anyways, I was or will be, or whatever you want to call it (maybe I am?), John Pitcher, a resident at St. Jude’s Hospital for the Mentally Ill. I was a computer programmer and my parents had me admitted there because I was convinced that I had been contacted by Set, the Egyptian god of chaos, about creating a world. Well, apparently, I’m something akin to the great times a hundred grandson of over 10 000 gods, and they didn’t want me to live an ordinary, dull life (well, except for the god of normalcy, but he doesn’t count). Set gave me three years to prepare myself. This begins right at the end of those three years. [participant in the NaNoWriMo Royal Road challenge] I originally had this as part of the prologue, then I realized that it made a better synopsis. Please note: this might seem a bit clunky because I haven't done a lot of writing, and this is supposed to be a kind of prequel to another story that I plan on doing in the future. I will not be fully explaining everything but instead will be explaining things in that other story. This is mainly to help fill in the lore of the world so that people will have at least a basic idea of how things function. Regardless of that, that story won't be written for at least another year, so deal with it. Note: I am using ideas from several different authors in order to make sure that this can be a proper story. You may or may not recognize where I got them. I am not writing a Fanfiction and do not claim these as my own. I will add to a list of titles below as I find myself using those ideas. Gwendolyn McLlroy wishes her life was more interesting. She wishes that Social Studies didn't suck so much... What she wasn't expecting was for her wish to come true. When a man breaks through the window during social studies and threatens to shoot Gwen, her life becomes anything but normal. Now, vampires suddenly exist and she has rare blood that causes every vampire to want to rip out her jugular. The boys take her to Paris to keep her safe, but bodies and threats start popping up. What started as a security breach turned into a huge vampire war where the daily celebrities had to pick sides... As vampires. As if it wasn't bad enough, add a lost love, a boyfriend, the boy who lived next door, and her knight in shining armor. Even if they do somehow win the vampire war, would Gwen ever be safe with her blood? Will love save her or destroy her? And the boys who try so hard to protect her, will they be the ones to rip her throat out or will they save her? One thing for sure, Gwen has never felt more alive with her Immortals.I wrote this when I was 13 so really, read at your own risk.
