《Tendou's Ship (Ushijima Wakatoshi x Male!Reader)》Embrace

There was barely any hesitation as he confidently leaned forwards, pressing his lips against yours. Your eyes slightly widened, but you melted into his touch, his hands making their way around your waist as they rested against your back. You pressed yourself against the taller male, the sleeve of your sweater slightly faltering as it fell to your elbow. Your heart was beating out of your chest, and a small gasp escaped your lips when the ace dragged you onto his lap with a rough grunt. You slowly retreated from the kiss with a bright flush, as you stared into his piercing olive colored eyes.
"Wakatoshi...," You mumbled. Your voice was driving him insane, as he passionately gazed into your e/c orbs. He never felt this way about anyone before. Your simple laugh always succeeded in brightening his day, so much that he even looked forwards to seeing you. What was this feeling? It was unfamiliar as he watched your shorter frame uncomfortably shift on his lap. He seemed so conflicted as his brows furrowed just thinking about it. The ringing in his ears, his heart beating out of his chest. Everything was different. The feeling of kissing you was exhilarating, as good as scoring the final point in a volleyball game- maybe even better.
"Hmm?" He responded and you wiggled out of his tight grasp, standing up before you cleared your throat.
"I'm-" You sighed. "I'm gonna get some fresh air for a bit," You blurted out as you turned on your heel, he nodded in confirmation as you made your way out of the hotel.
When you took a step outside, the cold, gentle wind hit your face as you took a seat on the bench that Wakatoshi had taken you in the morning.
The mere thought of him brought upon a bright flush as you clicked your tongue. That kiss must've meant something, right? You were lost in your thought, your cheeks dusted a light pink before you ultimately decided to return to the hotel room. As you dragged yourself back, you walked in, the air awkward as you stepped in, and you found Wakatoshi on the bed, his hands leisurely laying over his eyes as he peeked to see who had entered.

"H-Hey," You tried your best to sound confident, which didn't work out but he nodded in acknowledgement, before his hands once again covered his eyes. You were dreading the decision to return, as you took a seat on your side of the bed with a small huff.
Did that kiss mean anything to him? You thought to yourself with interest, If only he was an easier person to read....
While your mind endlessly wandered, wondering if the kiss meant anything, Wakatoshi was utterly conflicted. He couldn't help but inwardly smile at the thought of your soft, gently dusted pink cheeks, your soft lips and your undeniably cute face. He deeply exhaled and you uncomfortably shuffled in your spot.
"I'm going to bed," You abruptly declared.
"I apologize if my actions from before were rash," Wakatoshi stated.
"It's alright," You smiled before your voice became a small mumble, "It wasn't bad..."
His expression didn't change, yet why was his heart beating so fast? You moved so you were under the warm covers of the bed before you heard abrupt knocking at your door. With a small groan, you got up, interrupting Wakatoshi who was already moving to get the door as you opened it. Your face pulled into a small smile.
"Can I do anything for you, coach?" You asked.
"Is Ushijima still awake?" Your coach's brows raised.
"Yes. He is," You spoke, as Wakatoshi got up, standing behind you as his taller frame towered over yours, "Why? Is something the matter?"
"I'm aware that you're tired, and I apologize but I need you guys to do something for me," He asked.
"What is it?"
"I need you two to read over these documents about interview offers for the team," He asked, "And some require the signature of the manager or the captain of the team. I already wrote my signature on where it is required. I trust you can take care of this?"

"Of course," You smiled as he handed you a terrifying amount of paper work, your eyes slightly twitched at the work with a fake smile before your coach retreated to his room, and you sighed, shutting the door behind you as you took a seat at the desk. There was one table with two chairs that were next to each other in the corner of the room with a small notepad, and a few other things that you quickly put away, and took a seat, Wakatoshi taking the one beside you, "Okay, let's divide the work."
He nodded as you handed him half the stack, before you quickly began to write, your hair slightly covering your eyes as you were slanted, eyes scanning the pages in front of you. When you glanced over at Wakatoshi, he was slowly reading each word, and the sight brought a gentle smile on your face.
~
"You can go to sleep, you know," He glanced to the side, and watched as you were on your phone, your eyes slightly drooping as you laid your head on the table.
"I'm good. I'll stay here with you," You shrugged. He nodded in gratitude, before he glanced back at the papers. You had already finished, and he had about half of what he had before- probably because of his excessive reading of the paper work. With an exhausted sigh, you sat up, before limping against Wakatoshi's frame. He didn't move, yet didn't tense up as he ignored the contact. Although you didn't notice, he definitely noticed the sudden racing of his heart.
After what seemed like an hour of silence, Wakatoshi finally finished with his own paperwork and glanced to his side. There you were, eyes shut close, lips slightly parted as your cheeks were slightly puffed out, a small blush tinting your face. Without speaking, he slowly stood up, supporting you with his hand as he walked in front of you, reaching down to pick you up as his arms wrapped around your waist. Your eyes slightly opened, and you only smiled at the taller male as he brought you up. With no words, you subconsciously wrapped your legs around the taller male, your arms laying over his shoulders as you pressed your face into his neck with a gentle, content sigh. He didn't know what to do when you refused to release your grasp. Slightly confused, he simply took a seat on the bed, extending his legs out as he tried to ignore your sleeping form, who was now straddling him, your body going limp against the ace's. Wakatoshi slowly pressed his forehead against your neck, as he moved himself forwards, placing a pillow behind him as he relaxed against the bed frame. Wakatoshi's arms wrapped around your waist, one of them resting on your back as he slowly drew out circles with a small, tight smile. He slightly shifted, and the feeling slightly shook you out of your slumber.
"Wakatoshi..," You grumbled, pressing your face further into the crook of his neck as you tightly gripped onto his shirt, "Please don't leave..."
Wakatoshi's expression slightly wavered. "I won't, (Name)."
