《Unexpected Fondness┊saiki k x m!oc》diciassette┊Chapter 17

In order to take Asher's mind off of recent events, Saiki decided to take him out somewhere. No, it wasn't an excuse for a date. He was doing it for the sake of protecting his identity. That's all.
"I can't believe you asked me out!.." Asher spoke excitedly, his hands clenching and unclenching at random.
"It's not a date."
"Right," Asher laughed nervously. "But, it could be thought of as one because it's just the two of us..."
Saiki only rolled his eyes in response.
"Anyways, what's the plan?"
"The mall, a cafe nearby, and a movie."
"Woah, seriously? We don't have to do all of that.."
"Well, I want to." Saiki glanced up to him. "You aren't trying to end this early, are you?"
'NEVER!!'
Asher shook his head. "No, I just didn't think you would want to do so much during the day."
"Today is different. So enjoy it."
"Mhm!"
Together they arrived at the mall. They did window shopping for the most part, looking at what each shop had from the outside. There were times where they would walk in and maybe take a closer look at a few things.
"Saiki, what do you think of this?"
Said boy turned from the clothing rack he was facing, looking to Asher.
Seems the brunette was fond of some of the clothes. And it definitely wasn't what Saiki thought it would be. A white, cropped shirt with no sleeves and a black n' purple, high waisted skirt.
"It's a little too tight on me, from what a normally prefer, but I think it looks pretty fuckin' cool," he looked down to himself, admiring the clothes he wore on his body.
Saiki's mouth went agape slightly, swiftly turning so his back was facing Asher once more.
"Do you not like it? Is it weird?"
"No. I didn't.. didn't expect it."
"So it's good?"
Saiki nodded. Asher cheered mentally from the aprroval, scampering off to find a bigger side. That gave Saiki time to calm himself.
Asher ended up buying himself the outfit (in a slightly bigger size. it hugged his body a bit, but in a comfortable way) before they left the shop. They still strolled around the mall, the brunette wanting to purchase something of Saiki's interest.
"Hey, there's a game store," Asher spoke the obvious as the arrived in front of it. It was small, but held plenty of games, for several different consoles.
The pinkette immediately went in, with Asher following. They would look at games together, occasionally discussing what they thought about it. Soon, when Asher realized what game Saiki was most interested in, they bought a game and left.
"You didn't have to buy it."
"Well, I wanted to. I was feeling nice."
'My pockets are aching, but it's worth it for my potential lover!!'
"I hate being in debt to people.."
"Well, taking me out on this date is more than enough."
"I told you it wasn't a date."
"Sure, Saiki," Asher chuckled.
Their next designation: Moka Pot. A cafe in an area near the mall, and is said to serve a pretty mean latte. It was a back alley cafe, but not as rundown or nasty as other buildings around.
Since they were on foot, it took about 15 to 20 minutes get there. It looked to be worth it, though. The outside of the cafe looked very soothing to the eye.
They walked inside and settle in at a table for two, taking the small menus in front of them.

"You've already done your research on this place, huh?" Asher questioned in amusement.
"Of course. I don't visit places on my own accord without knowing what they have to offer."
'What a Saiki thing to say...'
'What-?'
A small, older woman came over to the table, a kind smile on her face. "Welcome to Moka Pot. Seems like the two of you are new here. Would you like any recommendations?"
Saiki shook his head, and Asher shrugged. "Sure. I'm thinking of trying something new."
The woman hummed. "Well, you could go with our specialty- foam art. Luckily, our best foam artist is on shift, so you'll get our best quality. I personally reccomend having a slice of our coconut cake with it, as well. The slight bitterness of coffee and sweetness of the coconut really work well together."
'Wow, a lengthy recommendation. What a wise woman.'
Asher hummed, thinking about her words. "Why not? I'll have that- and, can you make the foam a cat?"
The lady nodded. "Of course. And for you, young man?"
"A cup of your special parfait."
"Alright. I'll be back shortly," she smiled to the two of them before walking away.
"What a sweet old lady. I wish I had a grandma like that."
'Actually... he doesn't talk about his family too often. I'm a little curious. Only because I know little about his family, unlike the others.'
"What's your grandma like?"
Asher was shocked from the question. Saiki wasn't one to normally ask questions like that, so it took him off guard.
"Well... I don't know my family too well. My mom's side wasn't very supportive of us, and my dad... we don't know many people from my dad's side. I do recall my mom saying something about his brother? But I'm not sure."
Saiki tilted his head, confused. "Why didn't your mother's family "support" you all?"
The brunette shrugged. "They didn't like my dad. He was aggresive- more aggressive than me. My mom said he just couldn't convey his feelings well. But there was a certain incident that caused them not to like him.. She didn't tell me specific details."
Saiki hummed softly, looking down to the table. Maybe it would've been better if he didn't say anything.
"Don't look so bummed. It's fine. I'm glad you want to know more about me."
'He's so cute.'
'Ugh...'
The old woman wasn't lying when she said she would be back soon. She came back to the table with a tray, placing their treats down on the table and giving a smile before walling off again.
"Woah.. this shit looks fancy as hell," he observed his own food, then looking to Saiki's as well. It all looked so good.
After pulling his phone out and taking a picture of it all (he had to, so he could remember this day) they dug into their food. There was small talk here and there, but they were mainly enjoying their food.
When they were done, Asher stretched his body and slowly stood. "That was amazing.."
Saiki agreed with a hum, standing from the table. "Bathroom," was all he said before walking away.
Asher paid for their food while Saiki was in the bathroom, then waiting outside for the boy. Saiki had to be smart enough to assume he would be waiting outside.
He just wanted to get a little bit of fresh air in peace, but things never go as planned.
"Hey! Who're you?" some guy with blue hair came up to the brunette. He didn't look much older than Asher himself.

"What's it to ya', hm?"
"You were hanging out with that.. Saiki kid. Which must mean you know Kokomi, and you are no good for her!!"
Asher practically sweatdropped. "What? I'm Asher- I doubt that name's come out of that bitch's mouth-"
The blue haired boy gasped very dramatically, latching his hand onto Asher's shirt. "How dare you call my sweet princess such a crude word!?"
"Get your fucking hands off me!" He shoved the older male away.
He (Teruhashi's brother) scoffed, glaring at the brunette. "Just deal with him."
Suddenly, two huge ass bodyguards came out of nowhere, ready to fight Asher.
"Are you fucking serious!?"
It seems they very serious, seeing as one of them delivered a strong punch across Asher's face.
The brawl was on! Even though it was 2 against 1, Asher was able to manage himself quite well against the big men. Well, long enough at least. He hasn't fought in a long time, so his skills weren't up to par. He almost collapsed until the big guys were pushed from behind suddenly and fell to the ground.
"It's you!" Asher look up from his slightly hunched position, smiling when he saw Saiki's face.
"Do this shit again, and I'll kill you," his piercing eyes stared through his glasses and towards the Teruhashi brother, who shivered and began walking (more like running) away.
"Uh oh, looks like my potty mouth is getting to youu," Asher chuckled (ignoring the agonizing pain running through his body) as he stood up straight as slowly as he could.
The pink haired boy stayed silent, wrapping an arm around Asher's waist to help him. The injured immediately wrapped his own around around Saiki's shoulders, leaning some of his weight onto him (Saiki).
They walked in silence, which felt very suffocating. Asher had no clue what Saiki was thinking, but it most likely wasn't anything positive.
'God, I feel like such a huge burden.'
Asher groaned, both from emotional and physical pain. They turned a corner, and before he knew it, they were in Saiki's room.
"Uh... what-?"
Saiki placed Asher down on his bed. "I'll be back. Take off your shirt."
The brunette did as he was told, not wanting to bother Saiki any more than he has. It was a slow and painful process, but his shirt was soon off his body and on the ground.
"Holy hell, I haven't felt so much pain in such a long time.." he murmured to himself.
Saiki came back with a bundle of clothes and a first-aid kit. "Take a shower."
"Whaa.. I don't wanna wear your dad's clothes."
"You're too big for my clothes."
Asher shook his head. "It's fine, give me the biggest things you have and it'll all work out."
'I'm more worried about you stretching out my clothes...'
Timeskip ..
Asher came out of the bathroom limping, topless, and sat on Saiki's bed. Said boy had been waiting for him, sorting out certain things he would need to aid Asher. He was already changed into more comfortable clothing.
There was still a silence between the two as Saiki took everything he needed and began tending to Asher's wounds.
For the most part it was bruises, but there were a few cuts on his hands and face. His nose had also been bleeding- but he just thought it was a normal, runny nose so he didn't think much on it before.
"You're so stupid."
"I'm sorry."
Saiki clicked his tongue, bandaging his hands. "I shouldn't even be doing this."
"You're right."
When Saiki finished his hands, he moved to Asher's face. He avoided the brunette's eyes entirely as he worked.
"Do you know who that guy is?" Asher muttered, not wanting to disturb Saiki too much as he treated him.
"Yeah. It was Teruhashi's brother."
"Really? What a creep, why was he talking about his sister like that?.."
The pinkette shrugged.
They were finally all finished. Saiki groaned quietly as he packed up all the medical equipment. He left it on his desk, climbing into his bed and laying down.
'Must be tired.'
"I think I'm gonna go home now-"
"No, you aren't."
"Why not?"
Saiki fidgeted with his glasses. "Because you're hurt."
"But..."
The pinkette scoot to one end of the bed, making space for Asher (despite the bed being made for one person).
'He's inviting me to lay with him, I can't pass that up!!'
Asher sighed, carefully laying himself besides Saiki underneath the blankets. The brunette's eyes were on him, while the pinkette looked off to the side.
'This was a bad idea. He's too close.'
"Saiki?"
"Hmm?"
"Are you tired?"
The pinkette nodded his head. Asher went to grab the other's glasses, so he could take them off, but Saiki raised a hand and grab ahold of Asher's before he could.
He muttered a 'sorry' and placed his hand back down.
"Mm.. Saiki?"
"What?"
"Do you have some sort of magical powers? Or.. somethin'.. These weird things keep happening and I don't know if it's because of you, or I'm just crazy.."
Saiki blinked. 'Huh. Didn't expect him to pop the big question.'
"Maybe you're the one that's tired."
Asher laughed softly, shutting his eyes. "Maybe..."
Saiki was a little more nervous than he was before, now that Asher was a little more close to figuring him out. The pink headed boy had several chances to change/remove Asher's memory that might make him conclude to that, but he can't.
He doesn't want to invaded Asher's privacy like that. And a small part of him wants Asher to know. He wants to be able to share his powers with someone that aren't his weird parents, or those randoms at his school.
"That'd be really fuckin' cool, though," Asher interrupted Saiki's thoughts. "You'd be the strongest guy I knew. I'm dating the strongest guy in the world!.."
Saiki huffed through his noses, his cheeks getting warm. "We aren't dating."
"Oh. Right." The brunette whispered. "I'm tired.."
"Then sleep. You can stay over.. just for today."
Asher grinned. "Thank youu.."
The bigger male made himself comfortable in the bed, scooting closer to Saiki and wrapping his arms around him.
"Wha-"
"Just for tonight," Asher muttered. "Please."
Saiki sighed, relaxing himself in the other's arms. He watched as he slowly lulled to sleep. Seems like he had been more tired than the pinkette was.
'Only because of that harsh beating he got.'
Saiki scoffed. Thinking about it pissed him off. That guy was truly a psychopath...
When the speckled boy was sure the other was asleep, he slipped off his glasses and placed them on his night desk. It was hesitant, but he wrapped an arm around Asher, laying his head on his (Asher's) chest.
'Idiot never put his shirt on..'
He clicked his tongue, listening to Asher's heartbeat as his cheek was smooshed into his (Asher's) chest. Despite the wild fluttering in his stomach, he was able to fall asleep peacefully.
