Happy early Halloween! This is my Halloween haul for this year, just a few Stablemates to try and keep up with the new mini-me's. This year Breyer made a second series of the Spooky Surprise Blindbags including mini-me Poltergeist on the Running Mare mold, NightMare on the Friesian mold, and Twilight Terror on the Cantering Warmblood mold. Without further rambling, here's who I received.

Name: Nightmare

Color: Black and white Decorator

Special Run: Halloween Blindbags Spooky Surprise

Significance: Series 2

My first blind bag I got NightMare! This model is really pretty and a nice almost frosty matte finish to him. He does have some masking issues, like most of the NightMares produced but I got a really nice one. Unfortunately I dropped him opening him up and cracked an ear but it's not too bad and didn't break fully. Overall he's a pretty cool model and glows really well. I ended up getting doubles and offered him and a double Ichabod for trade.

Name: Poltergeist

Breed: Aztec

Color: Black and white Decorator

Significance: Series 2

I finally got another horse on this mold, after accidentally selling the one I wanted to keep. She has super crisp markings and not a smudge on her, she definitely has one of the better masking jobs I've seen. I love the flame-like patterns on her legs and her white tail. Also the "kiss marks" on her mouth are really cute and she's absolutely well done overall.

Significance: Series 1

A year later I finally found Bats In the Belfry! I traded my extra Nightmare for him and I'm so happy to finally add him to my Halloween collection. He does have a few factory flaws but it's all good, I'm just happy to have him now. He looks really pretty and the purple-y blue fading on his back looks really nice. So glad to finally own one of these suckers!

Significance: OG Halloween Stablemates

Grail set achieved finally! I found this set completely NIB on eBay for only $45 plus s/h, a steal for this set! I've had my eyes on these guys for a long time and I can't believe I was actually able to get them and have them on my shelves. He has a few iffy spots in his masking but nothing too bad. He's really well done for a model his age.

Probably my favorite of the three in this set, this gorgeous spooky mare has beautiful coloring and standing on her, her masking good is also pretty well done. Her bats creeping up to her shoulders are amazing and I love the little bat on her forehead as a star. Her and Bats In the Belfry make a cute pair together.

Name: Mini Merry Widow

Breed: Morgan

Color: Metallic dark green Sabino

Special Run: Series 1 Halloween Stablemates

Significance: OG Halloween Stablemates

The one I was most unsure of actually turned out to be pretty cool. I wasn't sure how I'd like his metallic green coat bit he's much better in person then his photos in my opinion. He has tiny spiders all over him and funky webs for his markings which, to me, really sets him apart then some of the others covered in bats - even though I do love the look of bats. His masking is probably the better of the other too but a close second to Nosferatu.

There's my mighty Halloween haul this year, I'm glad I was able to trade and get Bats In the Belfry. With the extra Ichabod I really want to trade for sell him to get Twilight Terror so I get a full set for this year and at some point eventually find the previous Halloween Stablemates.
