《The CEO》Chapter 19- Reveal

After crying my eyes out and daniel still didn't budge, I looked at Mr jackson with my blood shot eyes, he was unfazed about the fact that he might have killed someone..... Not just anyone , someone who was to become his son-in-law.
I removed the remains of the rope from my legs and dropped daniel's dead weight on the ground. I walked over to where Mr jackson was and jerked the gun away from his hands.
I pointed it to his head, driven by anger I was about to pull the trigger, I was too upset to even think straight, he tried to grab the gun from my hands but I hit him on the jaw with my elbow and pointed the gun to his head again.... this time around, I was gonna kill him for real, I was gonna pull the trigger......
"Anne..." I heard a soft voice from behind me, it was daniel's, I read his tired eyes. He was telling me not to pull the trigger, not to get blood on my hands. I groaned in frustration as I ruffled my hair, I wanted to kill this man soo bad after all he had done, but I couldn't even bring myself to pull the trigger just the way he did.
I went over to where daniel was and picked him from the ground making him stand upright as I flung his arms around my shoulders and supported him by holding his waist. He was still half conscious.
I began to walk slowly with him to leave the unknown place which seemed more like some sort of basement.
One of the guys tried to stop me from leaving but I pointed the gun in his direction.
"I promise to blow your heads off if any of you take one more step from where you are." I commanded as I put my fingers on the trigger.

It was a good thing they only brought one gun with them and that gun was in my hands causing them to obey me.
The power of a gun indeed made three men squirmer in fear.
I left the basement through the doorway and I honestly didn't even know my way back, daniel who was half conscious kept directing me to where I should turn.... He looked soo tired and stressed so I decided to use the GPS on his phone instead.

I tried to stitch his skin back after removing the bullet, he finally regained consciousness after what seemed like eternity. He groaned in pain due to what he felt on his shoulder.
I didn't seem much like it but I actually wanted to become a doctor before my education was cut short, I had practiced on animals like mice, rabbits and some others down in this basement of my house. I sincerely avoided coming back here for years so as not to bring back wishful thinking, my dream of wanting to become a licensed doctor had been cut short and I was still trying to accept that fact till date.
I practiced soo hard in my highschool days, watched tutorial videos and even tried to learn from others who knew more, I dreamt of becoming the youngest hospital director ,that was why I kept practicing soo hard at such a young age.
I thought it was over, I thought I wouldn't come back down to this basement again but he brought me back here as I kept praying silently that he would wake up, I was faced with a real life situation and I silently hoped I won't make any mistake. He had fallen unconscious on our way back and I couldn't take him to the hospital because they were far away and not to mention the questions!!, I decided to bring him to my home instead, down to this basement.

"You are finally awake." I said after finishing the stitches and removing the gloves from my hands.
"Where am I??" He asked as he held the stitched part and wanted to sit upright but he yelped due to the pain he felt on his shoulder.
"Why are you trying to move??? You are hurt." I yelled as I tried to pin him down.
"You are hurt too." He said taking a good look at me on the face.
"Me??"
"Your lips." He replied as he touched the corner of my mouth where I was bleeding from before. I flinched at the pain I felt on my lips. I had forgotten that I was wounded and was too occupied with how I was gonna rescue him, I didn't want him to die, not on my watch.
"You need to treat yourself too." He sighed.
I quickly poured methylated spirit on a small cotton wool and was about to press it down...
"Should I help you with that?" He asked, interrupting me.
"You are injured." I retorted.
"Yh...I am but I can move my body.... just my left shoulders." He said as he threw his right hands left and right to prove to me that he was ok.
"You sure about that??"
"Yeah." He replied rolling his eyes.
I then gave him the cotton wool while he sat upright as he tried to arrange his tattered shirt, I had ripped his shirt in an attempt to remove the bullet from his shoulders.
I closed my eyes as he pressed the cotton down my lips, I yelped in pain because it stung me soo bad.
"Are you OK?" He asked as he watched me press my lips with my finger so it won't hurt me soo much, I just nodded my head in response, the pain had already subsided so he put a bandage with a pink heart on my lips.
"How come you are soo good with this thing." He asked pointing to his shoulder, it was a surprising thing an amateur like me could remove the bullet and I also made no mistake with the stitches.
"Practice..."I replied shrugging my shoulders.
"You've removed lots of bullets before???"he asked with confusion written all over his face, that was a job for gangsters.
"Of course not..." I chuckled in response.
"I wanted to become a doctor when I was much younger so I practiced hard enough to be able to remove a bullet, it was a long time ago though."
"Wow..." He commented in amusement.
"Yeah..." I replied with a sudden change in demeanor, it was soo obvious and he noticed.
"Is something wrong anne??." He asked in concern.
"I want the truth daniel."I said looking intensely at him.
"Huh????" He replied in confusion at my sudden change in demeanor, change in topic and my statement too.
"I want to know everything.... Everything there is to know." I demanded, staring at him more intensely.

Red Clay Technical Services: Mercenaries, Magicians, and Marketing
Bobby likes Pabst Blue Ribbon, NASCAR races, and throwing fireballs. A through and through Georgia boy, raised down in the sticks but now working with all things mystic. He is, in other words, a magician. Not just any magician- but one bound by the most egregious of terms: business contracts. See, a long time ago, Bobby got himself involved with a dragon whose business was making magicians, and Bobby wanted magic to be his business. Both of them having common interest, Bobby agreed to sign over his services in exchange for phenomenal (draconic) magic. A pretty awesome deal, right? The contract put him at the top percentage of human magicians, on top of having the backing of a dragon patron, and a fantastic set of benefits befitting an esteemed contractor, so it'd be smooth sailing from then on, right? Not so. That kind of power isn't granted without strings attached, and Bobby's practically bound up in them. Following the esoteric laws set forth by magicians , juggling them with the mortal interests he still has to abide by, and finding himself at the beck and call of a fickle and opaque patron makes his life as a magician a rollercoaster of ups and downs. But when his patron sets him on a strange task- with stranger company, no less, even Bobby has to question what his mission really is. Delving into fantastic crimes and cracking open mysteries is just the least he can do, and he'll do it with the help of his gun, his wand, and his trusted allies both large and small. --- Cover art is of the Georgia Guidestones.
