"Sign here and you can officially move in within a couple days",the realtor said giving us each the paper to sign and make it official.

"So this makes us homeowners",Khia whispered in my ear.

"Somethin like that",I said smiling at her. Today was gone be a long day and half of it was already gone. I had Khia to myself all day today and I was grateful. She looked so beautiful in her sundress and had her hair down.

After signing our lease, we hit the road to go pick up my family from the airport. I was excited to see them and I knew Khia was too.

"We've been together for like almost a year. That's a long time",she said letting her hair flow in the wind while the sunroof was down.

"Yeah next month is gonna make it our 1 year of dating."

"What are we gonna do for it? I'm not doing another party at the club."

"Girl you crazy. Why would our anniversary include us turning up at the club. I'll plan something intimate for us."

"Like what?"

"Ion know yet. But I know it's gone include a lot of sex cause I've been holding out for a minute."

"That's your fault. You said it yourself, you've been holding out."

"Cause of you. You be buggin out",I joked.

"No I haven't. You can get it now if you want to."

"We already bout to be late, I'll try to get some later if you still in the mood."

"I'm always in the mood",she said giving me seductive eyes.

"Keep talkin like that & ima have to make a stop",I said with a smirk.

"I love you",she said laughing.

"I love you too. 1 year is your longest relationship?"

"Something like that. You know my last relationship doesn't really count."

"Yeah. I wouldn't even call that a relationship to be honest babe."

"Stop",she whined.

I laughed at my comment and thanked God in my head that I took Khia from up under that good for nothin man. Nigga was all types of bad for her. As we almost got to the airport, Khia applies another layer of make up on her face and I was so confused. She looked fine as it is but she ain't gonna listen to me so I just continued on down the road.

"You know there's a dinner at my house after we pick them up."

"No I didn't know."

"I want you to come."

"I'll pass",she said checking her perfectly straight teeth.

"It'll be awkward if your not there since my cousins love you being around",I said trying to persuade.

"I don't want your parents giving me no side eyes."

"They actually want you to come."

"I'll think about it."

"Ight. I need a answer by the time we get back in this car babe",I told her while parking in the lot. We got out the car and went inside the airport. It was gonna take a minute to find them because it's their first time in the airport so they not gonna know nothing around them.

"What time do they land babe?",Khia asked me.

"In 30 minutes",I said looking at my phone. I spotted the American Airlines section and we sat there and waited.

Looking at Khia next to me, I couldn't help but remember all of our moments we went through together. The first time meeting my parents and family was rocky but she stayed strong and pushed through it now she here and is the first to see them enter the United States. I wouldn't want to share that with anyone else.

"I'm proud of you",she said while catching me stare at her.

"Proud of me for what?"

"Helping your family come to the states. That's a huge accomplishment."

"Yeah couldn't have done it without you though. You know that right?"

"Me? What I do?"

"You supported me in all of this. Many girls wouldn't have or cared enough for stuff like this."

"Why wouldn't I care about the people you care about?"

"I don't know",I shrugged. She kissed me on the lips to remind me that I'm the luckiest man in the world.

"Tiago! Is that you",I turned my head and I saw my cousin Romeo with the fam walking towards us. I pulled my cousins into a hug while the girl ran up to hug Khia. There was screaming, crying, yelling, you would've thought they would've put us out.

"My man rico. How are you?",I said hugging him.

"I'm here. I've always dreamed of coming to the Americas."

"Yeah you look slimmer than when I last saw you. That's gonna change real soon. How's abuela? Heard she didn't want to come",I asked him.

"Yeah she didn't want to leave your tia behind."

"Yeah I feel her. She's gonna come soon I'm still working on the other half of the family's file."

"Primo, thank you so much",Romeo said pulling me into a big hug again which was shocking to me because he wasn't the touchy type or type to be appreciative to anyone.

We spent an additional hour at the airport catching up. Jennifer and Ana ain't even paid me any attention, it went all to Khia but I ain't mind. It felt good to know that they loved her that much.

During the ride home, Khia sat in the back with my cousins and gave Romeo the front.

"How's life?", Rome asked me.

"It's crazy but good I can't complain."

"No I meant how's the married life?",he said hinting about Khia.

"Nah we not getting married anytime soon yet",I said laughing as we hit traffic on the freeway.

"Why not? Y'all still together. What you waiting on?"

I looked at him and said, "this is coming from you?"

He laughed.

"Yeah but nah what's the hold up?"

"There's no hold up. We just not ready to do that yet Rome."

"She cheat on you?"

"Hell nah I'd leave her in a heartbeat."

"Good cause I got dibs on her."

"Oh word? Now I know not to leave her around you."

We both laughed but little did he know, I was dead serious.

Once we finally got home, my parents welcomed them in their home and they stayed talking in the living room for a couple hours catching up. I scanned the room with my eyes for Khia and I didn't see her for a minute so I went upstairs to my room and found her and my cousins talking. Looked like girl talk by the way they was quiet when I opened the door.

"Hey. Can I talk to her for a minute? It'll be a second",I asked my cousins.

"She's your girlfriend. Why are you asking us permission?",they said laughing.

"Because y'all had her to yourselves all day."

They left the room in laughter and gave us the room. I closed the door and sat next to her on my bed.

"You okay?",I asked her.

"Yeah. I'm good."

"You don't need saving from my cousins? I know they can talk you to death sometimes."

She laughed and said, "honestly, I don't mind it. I feel like their my sisters and I've never had a sister cause I'm an only child so it feels good to talk to them."

"That's wasup. So does that mean your staying for dinner?"

"Yeah I'll stay."

"Ight I'll let my mom know the good news. Love you",I kissed her on the lips and told my cousins they got her to themselves up until dinner time. I got this tingling feeling inside that everything was falling into place and nothing could go wrong. Is it possible to be high on happiness? Cause that's just what I'm feeling.
