《Our Eternity : Emmett Cullen x Reader》Blood Supply

Another few days had past. I was getting weaker and weaker by the day. I couldn't hold down almost any food anymore. Carlisle had set up an IV to pump saline into my body to help keep me hydrated. Being as small and frail as I was, It felt almost impossible to keep warm. The family had gathered around in the living room to watch the football game. I was covered with blankets and a sweater trying to pull the sleeves down.
"Are you cold?" Emmett asked softly as he sat at the side of the couch. He'd since apologized and tried to assure me he still loved me, which I knew. He was just worried. Secretly so was I. I hummed in response and nodded. Jacob who was sitting at the other end of my couch leaned up.
"I got it." He said. Jacob scooted closer next to me and I snuggled into his warm side making me lightly smile. "Don't do that." He said.
"What?" I mumbled.
"Smile like I am your favorite person in the world." He said with a shake of his head.
"You're one of them..." I told him weakly and let out a sigh. "It feels complete when you're here, Jake." I tried to relax my body, but I felt another wave of nausea hit me like a ton of bricks. I adjusted to quickly maneuver myself as much as my body would allow me to move. I leaned over the couch and Emmett held up the bucket quickly for me to puke in.
I heaved a few times and Jake rubbed my back, but nothing came out.
"God..." I mumbled.
"We need to find a way to get some food into her system." Esme said.
"If I could only see the fetus..." Alice grumbled looking at me concerned.
"Baby." Bella corrected gently.
"Maybe, I could figure out what it wants." Alice sent a soft glare at my sister.
We all sat silently for a minute before Edward spoke up.
"Maybe you're right. Jacob had an idea."
"What was it?" Emmett asked him with curiosity.
"It wasn't an idea... It was more of a snide comment." Jacob smiled at himself.
"What were you thinking?" Emmett asked him with almost pleading eyes.
"That it's probably just looking for someone to sink it's teeth into." Jacob shrugged and lightly chuckled to himself.
"She's thirsty." I said weakly with realization.
"I know the feeling." Henry grumbled.
"If it's craving, it's not going to want animal blood." Emmett said quickly looking over at Carlisle.
"I have some o negative laid aside for (Y/n)." Carlisle walked out of the room to his office where the little hospital area was set up.
"Walk with me." Alice said quickly to Jasper and took his hand.
"Bella, you should go to." Edward said softly to her.
"I'm fine. I can handle it." Bella told him stubbornly.
Rosalie gave Henry a look and he walked out too. Left around me was, Edward, Bella, Rosalie, Esme, Emmett and Jacob. Carlisle came back into the room with a styrofoam cup squeezing the blood bag into it. I could see how tense they all became, except Edward and Emmett. Jacob's eye's widened as Carlisle got closer.
"Wait, wait, wait." Jacob said starting to freak out. "You're going to make her drink that?" He gestured to the cup in his hands.
"It's the fastest way to check the theory." Carlisle explained to him.

"Only if you're comfortable with it." Emmett said, looking to me concerned.
"At this point, I'll try anything." I told him weakly and my voice cracked.
"Hold on." Edward got up.
"I think I'm going to be sick." Jacob scooted away from me.
Edward put a straw in the cup handing it to Emmett. He bent down in front of me and held out the cup as I adjusted myself on the couch.
"This might make it a little easier to take." Edward said softly. Emmett nodded gratefully at him.
"Thank you." I whispered to them both.
Everyone watched as I took the cup in my hands, a wave of nausea hit me. Before I could think about what I was about to do. I pressed my lips to the straw and sucked hard. Hoping the feeling of wanting to be sick would wash away quickly. The second I felt the liquid reach my lips, I sucked harder. The metallic taste filled my mouth. I expected it to taste badly, or maybe make me throw up, but the nauseous feeling began to go away. I lifted my lips from the cup and smacked my lips a couple times to be sure I wasn't crazy. I'd really just drank human blood, from a blood bag, in a cup, through a straw. Everyone looked at me expectantly, waiting for an answer.
"It tastes... good." I said awkwardly and placed my mouth back to the cup. Emmett smiled at me and rubbed my knee.
Carlisle came over and checked my pulse from my wrist. I chuckled lightly and took another sip again.
"Your pulse is already getting stronger." Carlisle said with a smile.
Emmett linked his hands together and placed them against his mouth hiding the biggest grin he had shown in weeks.
"It's working." Esme smiled.
Over the course of the next week I had blown through most of Carlisle's blood bag stash. Emmett seemed more happy to be around me. I wasn't nearly as sick as I was getting before. I was able to mix light foods in with drinking the blood. I felt happier than I had in weeks. Except when my Dad called. He tried calling almost everyday for any scrap of news. I had decided one day, feeling better, maybe it was a good time to talk to him. I missed him so much.
"Well, you sound better." He said over the phone.
"I am." I smiled slightly rubbing my belly. "I feel much better."
"This whole thing must have put a kink in the honeymoon, huh?"
"You could say that." I said awkwardly.
"Otherwise, married life treating you okay? Emmett still walks on water and all that?" Dad chuckled.
"Yeah, I mean it is a little different now." I shake my head unaware of Emmett standing behind me listening to the conversation.
"Well, i'll still be your get away driver." He chuckled lightly. "But, really the important thing is that you're getting better. And that you're coming home soon, right?" He asked desperately and I sighed.
"Okay, Dad, I don't want you to freak out..." I tried my best to hold in my tears. "But... I'm going to a medical center in Switzerland."
"What? No, no, you're not. You're not going to Switzerland. What, what are you? You said you were better!"
"Dad, I am." I tried to calm him down.
"No, (Y/n). I am getting on a plane. That's it."
"No." I said quickly. "It's really more of a... spa." I tried to come up with a fast excuse, cursing myself slightly. A few tears fell marking my cheeks. "And I'm sure that I'd be better by the time you got there anyway."

"(Y/n/n), Ugh, I don't know. I miss you, I hardly ever hear from your sister..." He tried to make an excuse to come.
"Dad. Don't come. Picture me healthy, like I'm sitting on the couch with you, eating pizza or something."
"You want me to visualize?"
"They say it helps." I shrugged. "Just picture me like that, okay? Like I was." I spoke with a shaky voice. "That will make me feel better." I could feel myself starting to cry and I wouldn't be able to contain it. "Dad, I gotta go okay?"
"(Y/n)..."
"I love you." I said quickly and hung up the phone not allowing him to respond. I tossed the phone on the couch and began to cry.
Emmett walked in and set the newly filled cup on the table for me. He bent down in front of me and rubbed my legs.
"I'm sorry, I've been so angry." Emmett apologized.
"It's alright. I would be angry with me too." I sniffled and grabbed his hand and held it.
"I've left you alone in this..." He shook his head, disappointed.
"Marriage." I let out a small chuckle and Emmett smiled. "It's just something we have to work at. Working as a team instead of against each other."
"We will. They say after all, the first year is the hardest." He smiled at me and stood up to kiss my forehead. "I'll be right back okay, I need to see Carlisle." He smiled and I nodded at him. Emmett swiftly left the room.
"Hey, (Y/n/n)." Bella said entering the room holding Edward's hand. She took a seat next to me and held my hand. Edward sat across from her on the table. "How are you feeling today?"
"I'm good. Better than I have been feeling." I shrugged. "I called Dad..."
"How did that go?" Edward asked curiously.
I let out a small sigh.
"Not great. He's struggling with this. He was ready to jump on a plane and go to Switzerland cause I told him that's where we'd be. He's upset that he hardly gets to talk to either of us."
Bella pulled me in for a quick hug and pulled back away.
"He'll be okay, (Y/n)."
"I know, it kinda sucks he'll never get to meet this little one..." I smiled and rubbed my belly sadly. "Huh, baby. Grandpa Charlie would be so much fun. He'd love you just as much as I do." I cooed softly talking to my belly.
Emmett walked back in the room and took a seat across from me on the table and held my hand smiling. Edward made a scrunched up face, as if he was confused. Bella noticed.
"Hey, what's wrong?" She placed a gentle hand on his lap.
"(Y/n)." Edward said looking at me. "Can you try something for me?"
"Uh, yeah... Sure. What's going on?" I looked at him confused and his eyes widened slightly.
"Edward, what's wrong?" Emmett asked.
"Talk to her again." Edward looked at me amazed. I was still so confused.
"What?" The three of us asked.
"Talk to her again. I thought I just heard... I can hear two sets of thought's. One's Emmett's. The other..." Edward looked down at my belly.
I glanced down at my belly and shock went through me. I laid my hands on my stomach.
"Okay... Hi, beautiful." I cooed softly and glanced up watching Edward's shocked expression slowly change to a smile.
"She likes the sound of your voice." He said suddenly.
"What?" Emmett asked shocked.
"She likes your voice to, Emmett." Edward smirked.
Emmett looked at me, and a smile crawled upon his face. He slowly lifted his hand and looked at me as if he was asking permission. I grabbed his hand and placed it gently on my belly.
"I can't believe you can hear her." I said with a few tears escaping my eyes. Bella wrapped an arm around my shoulder and also placed a hand on my belly.
"What exactly do you hear?" Bella asked with a smile.
"It's so strange. We all thought she was going to be like us, but she's not. She's like you." Edward smiled at me and I begin to sob slightly with a laugh. "She's good and pure. She's happy."
"Of course you are. I knew it from the moment I knew about you." I cried. "I love you so much."
"What do you hear now?" Emmett asked him softly, amazed.
"She loves you. Both of you." Then he started to chuckle. "She doesn't know who I am but she likes my voice too."
"That's your Uncle Edward." I cooed. "And your Aunty Bella is here too." I looked at my sister and she leaned in closely to my belly.
"Hi there, Squirt. I'm your aunt. I cannot wait to meet you." Bella smirked. "I'm going to be your favorite, and when your Mom and Dad say no. You best believe you can come to me." She giggled. I smacked her playfully.
"Hey! No giving her ideas already!" I giggled.
Emmett and Edward exchanged a look and Edward nodded at him.
"Hey," He said softly in Bella's ear. "Let's give them some privacy." She nodded and they got up leaving the room.
When they left, I didn't notice but Jake had entered the house and he watched us from the doorway. Bella put a hand on his shoulder and shook her head. Telling him now's not a good time.
Emmett climbed up on the couch beside me and leaned in close to my belly.
"Hi, sweetheart. I'm your Dad. I don't have super cool mind reading powers like your Uncle. But I promise I'll still be the coolest Dad, ever. I'll teach you all kinds of fun stuff. We'll raise some hell together, okay? Oh, and if you could try to restrain yourself from hurting your mom anymore. Like breaking her bones and such. Just be a bit more gentle. Okay? Kick lightly if you understand." Emmett placed a hand on my belly. A much lighter than normal kick was felt. We both looked at each other shocked and smiled. "I love you, sweetheart." He rubbed my belly.
"We both do, so, so much." I smiled at him and he gently placed his lips to my stomach.
"We need to come up with names." He said suddenly. "Oh, god. We don't have anything prepared for a baby." Emmett began to freak out making me giggle. I placed a reassuring hand on his.
"It's okay. We'll be fine. She'll be fine."
He sat up and leaned in kissing my lips for the first time in just over a month. I melted into the kiss, running my hands around the back of his neck.
"I love you, Emmett."
"I love you, (Y/n)."
It was almost hard to believe I'd been pregnant for a month and almost two full weeks. Almost an hour had gone by, Emmett and I enjoyed each other's company, laughing and loving each other like we used to. Everything felt like it was right with the world. Until Carlisle came upstairs.
"Jacob and I have made a plan." He said softly. "(Y/n), you could deliver any day now. We have to hunt in order to be at our strongest for you." He looked toward Emmett. "Jacob's going to create a distraction so we can get out to the hunting border. Esme, Henry, Jasper and I are going to go tonight. The others will stay here safely in the house."
"Okay." Emmett nodded in understanding.
"But, you could get hurt..." I worried, thinking about the pack hurting my family. It was my fault all this was happening.
"Don't do that." Emmett said quietly, running his thumb across my forehead. Soothing out the creasing lines. "It's not your fault. I know you're blaming yourself. And you need to not stress, cause you'll stress her out." He gently rubbed my belly and I sighed, with a nod.
