《Is This Hell?》The End or The Beginning
Advertisement
Elena walked through a forest with Jeremy at her side. She had no idea where they were but she did know they were in another world. It had been around three weeks since they had defeated Esther and Elena was bored, so, so bored.
When she had complained about it to her brother earlier that day he had agreed with her. Nothing interesting had been happening and after spending three days in bed with Kol, only leaving for bathroom breaks and sustenance, he wanted to something fun that wasn't sex.
With a smirk on her face Elena had asked if he wanted to go on an adventure with her to which he had quickly agreed. With a smirk they decided to ask Death to transport them to another world and then wreak some havoc.
Elena had quickly changed into black tights, black tank top and black combat boots. Then she had found a belt that she could have six daggers in, three on each side of her hip, a longbow, a quiver filled with arrows and a tactical vest filled with all kinds of useful things.
Jeremy had followed her example and changed his outfit into something more practical. He hadn't gone all out like Elena had though. Instead he was wearing black jeans, black boots, a white shirt and a black leather jacket. He also had a dagger strapped to his hip, a recurve bow in his hands and a quiver over his back filled with arrows.
They had left a note for their family and then summoned Death who had smiled softly at Elena at her request. At first he had seemed reluctant to let her go but couldn't give her a good explanation to why so in the end he had sent them on an adventure.
Death had told them that time worked differently in their world and the one he had sent them to, so a week in this world was around a day in their real one. Jeremy and Elena had been ecstatic to know that they could spend a few weeks in the other world and explore without to much time passing in their world.
"So, I wonder where we are." Jeremy hummed with a smile as they walked.
"Somewhere dangerous no doubt." Elena almost bounced in place. "I mean Daddy Death did tell us to have fun and not to worry if we were hit because that would just automatically transport us back to our world."
"Hit by what?" Jeremy wanted to know.
"I have no idea, little brother." Elena's smirk was a bit demented. "But that just makes it that much more exciting."
"I hope it's some world we've seen on TV or in a movie." Jeremy declared. "Oh, like Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I've always wanted to meet Spike."
"You mean Buffy the Vampire Layer?" Elena huffed.
"Yeah, she did get her 'calling' a little mixed up, didn't she?" Jeremy chuckled. "What world do you want it to be?"
"Hmm, I don't know..." Elena thought about it before smirking. "Supernatural."
"Which season?" Jeremy looked at her with a smile.
"Season 1." Elena decided quickly. "That way I have the possibility to punch John Winchester in the face."
"I would pay good money to see that." Jeremy laughed.
"Oh, oh, oh." Elena jumped up and down. "Or Game of Thrones!"
"We could kill Cerci before she can screw a lot of people over." Jeremy nodded enthusiastically.
"Or we can join Daenerys and the Dothraki." Elena hummed thoughtfully. "Maybe prevent the Mother of Dragons form going completely insane."

"So many possibilities, so little time." Jeremy lamented before they both laughed.
XOXOXOX
Around an hour later they had figured out where they were and it was neither Buffy, Supernatural nor Game of Thrones. Walking out of the woods and seeing several white and gold accented armored men aiming weapons at them made them figure that out quite quickly.
"Hello there." A handsome, redheaded man said pleasantly.
"Lena, I don't think we're in Kansas anymore." Jeremy muttered as he stared at General Obi-Wan Kenobi with wide eyes.
"What gave it away?" Elena asked sarcastically as she looked at her little brother. "The men aiming weapons at us? The obvious military camp behind said men? Or maybe it's the two moons in the sky that tipped you off?"
"No need to be rude about it." Jeremy huffed but he was smiling.
"Sorry, little brother, you know how I get." Elena apologized.
"You mean your whole sarcastic bitch thing?" Jeremy smirked. "Nope, never knew about that."
"Not that this isn't a really interesting conversation." General Kenobi spoke up. "But who are you and how did you get here?"
"What's it to you?" Jeremy growled and fingered his bow.
"Jer-Bear, don't be rude." Elena hit his arm before turning to Obi-Wan. "Sorry about my brother, he's a bit overprotective."
"Can you blame me?" Jeremy huffed. "You were almost sacrificed by a mad woman a few weeks ago!"
"Almost being the key word there." Elena smiled at Obi-Wan and the clones. "As to who we are, I'm Elena, she/her pronouns, and this is my little brother."
"Jeremy, he/him pronouns." Jeremy muttered.
"And as for how we got here?" Elena looked around. "I have no idea. One minute we were running from the people trying to kill us and then there were a bright flash of light and poof, we're in a forest that is not on our own planet."
"How do you know you're not on you own planet?" A clone asked but then froze like they hadn't meant for the question to slip out.
"Well, last I checked we only had one moon, but I could be wrong." Elena raised an eyebrow.
"Dial down the sarcasm, dear sister." Jeremy told her.
"Right, sorry." Elena shrugged.
Obi-Wan stepped forward and before anyone could blink Jeremy had moved so he was standing in front of Elena with his bow raised and an arrow notched, pointed straight at Obi-Wan's face.
"Don't even think about it." Jeremy growled.
"Jeremy, I don't think he's going to hurt me." Elena murmured as she tapped out the words 'Chaos' and 'Play along' against Jeremy's back.
"She's right." Obi-Wan said kindly. "I promise not to hurt her or you unless either of you hurt or attack me and my men."
Elena let her eyes go far away and started walking forward towards Obi-Wan in a floating sort of walk then she turned to the left and looked at the clone standing there. "You care so deeply. With every beat of your heart it echoes out 'protect, protect, protect'."
"What?" the clone looked between Elena and Obi-Wan.
Elena reached forward and placed a hand on his chest. "So brave and true, always at your General's back when he needs you to protect him from himself, never thinking he's worth a lot..."
"Elena, I need you to come back now." Jeremy walked over and pulled Elena into his arms.
"But I like to be in-between seconds." Elena smiled as she twirled away from him and towards Obi-Wan. "Do people know the reason you grew a beard was because without it you still look twelve?"

There were a lot of bitten off laughs and snorts from the clones as Obi-Wan looked a little embarrassed. "That's not the reason."
"Isn't it, hmm?" Elena hummed before leaning against Obi-Wan, letting him catch her as she pretended to come back to herself.
"What just happened?" The clone Elena had talked to earlier took of his helmet.
"My sister sometimes gets lost in... I don't really know what but that's what happened." Jeremy explained as he looked at Elena.
"I'm sorry." Elena apologized as she pulled away from Obi-Wan with an embarrassed blush.
"Do you get lost in the Force often, dear one?" Obi-Wan asked softly.
"Yes and no." Elena murmured with a smile.
"Wha..." Obi-Wan began.
"General, maybe we should go back to camp?" The clone to his left interrupted.
"Right you are, dear Cody." Obi-Wan nodded before he turned to Elena and Jeremy. "Would you like to join us as we figure out how you come to be on this planet?"
Elena and Jeremy shared a look and communicated silently before Jeremy nodded slowly. "As long as no one hurts Elena."
"I can take care of myself, brother-dear." Elena huffed.
"I know, but you also have the self-preservation of a magot." Jeremy nodded at her.
They were led into the camp and were offered seats at a campfire, several clones joining them with their helmets off. Elena recognized Waxer and Boil as they sat down beside her on her left as Jeremy had taken the seat to her right.
"Yes, we are clones." Boil muttered in a huff.
"That's not why she's staring." Jeremy told them as he put his bow down in front of him.
"It's not?" Waxer looked up from his staring contest with Elena to look at Jeremy.
"No, she's reading you." Jeremy chuckled.
"Reading me?" Waxer sounded confused.
"Physically you may look alike but to only look or read the physical aspect of a person makes you willfully blind to the person they really are." Elena hummed as she smiled. "You are so much more than just a physical shell. Your soul is unique and no one in the entire universe is like you or will ever be like you."
"That is a very wise way of looking at it." Obi-Wan nodded happily.
"What can you tell about me?" Waxer asked curiously.
"You like making others happy, especially your... brothers?" Elena tilted her head to the side before continuing when Waxer nodded at her description of the bond between the clones. "You would also make an amazing parent if you chose to go that way. You love children and mischief is a part of you, while at the same time you would do everything in your power to protect those you consider your family."
"Kandosii'la!" Waxer exclaimed with a bright smile.
"Huh?" Jeremy frowned as he looked at Waxer.
"It's manod'a." Boil explained gruffly. "It means amazing."
"But there is something..." Elena started intently at Waxer before moving between all of the clones slowly.
"Something what?" Cody asked as he sat up straighter.
Elena hid a smirk. If she could somehow get them to find the control chips in their heads and get them out, Darth Hideous... eh, Darth Sidious plan would be fucked and chaos would reign supreme.
"There is something in your head, in all of your heads." Elena murmured in a distant sort of way. "Dark, oppressing, slave makers. Kill the Jedi... Good soldiers follow orders... Blast him..."
"Elena?" Jeremy fell to his knees in front of her as she somehow managed to give herself a nosebleed. "Elena, pull back form it! Please!"
"Their lights going out... A fate worse than death... Screaming, fighting to get out... Flesh droids..." Elena continued.
"Can I try to get her out of it?" Obi-Wan asked as he crouched beside Jeremy.
"Yes, just please, help her." Jeremy nodded.
"I'll do my best." Obi-Wan smiled reassuringly at Jeremy before gently placing his hands on Elena's face.
Elena took the opportunity to pull him into her mind, showing him what she remembered of the chips in the clones and what they did. She showed him scenes from the movies, from the tv-series, from Fallen Order, anything and everything she could think off, she showed him.
She must have over done it because suddenly everything went black and the last thing she felt was slumping into someones arms.
XOXOXOX
Elena woke up with a pounding headache, proof of overdoing the whole 'showing Obi-Wan the future' thing. She groaned and rubbed a hand over her forehead before opening her eyes and trying to sit up.
"Take it easy, ma'am." A clone gently pushed her back against the pillows.
"Elena." Elena muttered with a frown.
"What?" The clone asked.
"My name is Elena, not ma'am." Elena looked at him.
The clone had an undercut sort of hairstyle with the tips frosted on top of his head. On his neck there was a tattoo of... something that Elena couldn't really make out, going down into the under suit of the armor and partially hidden by a stethoscope like object.
"So please, just call me Elena, or Lena if you want." Elena smiled slightly.
"Thank you." The clone murmured a little dazed. "My name's Bones, I'm the CMO of the 212th."
"It's nice to meet ya, Bones." Elena smiled and held out her and for a shake.
"Likewise, Elena." Bones shook her hand. "Now, are you up to answering a few questions?"
"Of course." Elena nodded in agreement.
"How's your pain at this moment on a scale of 1-10, 1 being no pain and 10 being unbearable?" Bones asked.
"If we don't count my head I would say about a 3." Elena hummed. "But my head is about a 6 or 7."
"Any light sensitivity?" Bone wanted to know.
"Not really." Elena admitted. "Just a sort of throbbing."
"Do you remember what happened?" Bones looked her straight in the eyes.
"I... You and your brothers have something in your head." Elena murmured softly. "Don't trust anyone but your brothers and some of the jedi, be careful"
"Elena?" Bones asked quietly.
"Hmm? Sorry." Elena looked down.
"Don't apologize." Bones hurried to say. "I wanted to thank you."
"For what?" Elena tilted her head to the side.
"For trying to help me and my brothers." Bones murmured. "Now we know that something could hurt us and are in our head so we know to look."
"I'm happy to help..." Elena looked away shyly, or at least to Bones it looked like shyness but in truth she was hiding her smirk.
"Lena!" Jeremy ran into what Elena had figured out was the infirmary, followed by Obi-Wan and Cody. "You're awake!"
"Nope, you're just imagining things." Elena deadpanned.
"Funny." Jeremy said in the same tone.
"Elena, how are you feeling?" Obi-Wan asked calmly with a kind smile.
"Except the headache, which is going away slowly, I'm fine." Elena smiled back.
"I'm glad." Obi-Wan smiled again. "One of the masters of the Jedi council would like to meet you if you feel up for it?"
"As long as it gets me out of the infirmary I would do whatever you asked." Elena declared before smiling slightly at Bones. "No offence meant, Bones."
Bones just leveled an unimpressed look at her. "Just go, but if you start feeling dizzy or the pain gets worse you come straight back."
"Absolutely!" Elena jumped out of the bed and almost ran out of the room, then she stuck her head back inside, "Hurry up, slowpokes."
Ten minutes later Obi-Wan led her up to where Jedi Master Plo Koon was standing with the wolfpack. She marched right up to Master Koon and stared at him for a few moments before turning to Jeremy.
"He has big dad energy." Elena declared with a bright smile.
"So he does." Jeremy nodded. "He's a thousand times better than your dad and my dad so..."
"I thought you said you were siblings?" Waxer asked slowly from where he was standing with Boil.
"We are." Elena and Jeremy chorused.
"Technically we're cousins by blood but Jeremy's parents adopted me when I was a baby." Elena shrugged before she looked back at Jeremy. "And it really isn't hard to be a better dad than our sperm donors. I mean yours tortured people for 'science' just because they weren't human and mine tried to kill my friends and manipulate me into doing it for him."
"Your dad tortured people because they weren't human?" Bones, who had come with them, asked in a horrified voice.
"Yeah, sadly enough that's true." Jeremy nodded. "He and the group he was a part of decided that it was all okay because they weren't human and they healed fast."
"Something you should know is that our planet doesn't believe in life on other planets and are very isolated." Elena hurried to explain.
"Some are even arrogant enough to think we, as in those on our planet, are the only beings in the universe." Jeremy scoffed.
"Anyway, on our planet we have these beings called vampires who are basically immortal. They get turned by ingesting the blood of another vampire and then dying, waking up and never aging after that." Elena told the gathered crowd. "Though, there are downsides to the deal."
"What downsides are that?" Waxer asked with interest.
"Well, sunlight kills them, they are allergic to vervain which is a plant and they have to drink human blood to survive." Elena shrugged. "But the upside is that they get immortality and eternal youth, strength, speed and very quick healing."
"We rescued one of the vampires our fathers associates had kept and experimented on for over 50 years." Jeremy piped up. "He told us that they had plucked out his eyes to see how long it would take them to grow back, they had done an autopsy on him while he was awake and conscious, drained him of blood to the point of desiccation etc."
"That's horrible!" Bones exclaimed, sounding disgusted.
"While I find the topic interesting, not the torture and experimentation, but the different species you are talking about." Obi-Wan spoke up. "That's not why we're here."
"You're right, I'm sorry." Elena apologized before turning back to Plo Koon. "Hello, my name is Elena, she/her pronouns, it's nice to meet you."
"Jedi Master Plo Koon, he/him pronouns." Master Koon held out his hand to Elena to shake and she grabbed onto his underarm in a warriors greeting. "And my second Wolffe."
"He/him pronouns." Wolffe huffed out.
"Are you a werewolf?" Elena asked as she tilted her head to the side.
"A what?" Wolffe asked slowly.
"A werewolf." Elena repeated.
"What is a werewolf?" Master Koon wanted to know.
"They are a species on our planet." Elena shrugged. "They are mostly human but are stronger and faster, with better hearing and a better sense of smell. Oh, and they are forced to turn into a wolf on the full moon."
"It's very painful." Jeremy shuddered, having seen Taylor do it once. "All their bones breaking and snapping as their body is forced into a shape it isn't used to."
"That doesn't sound pleasant." Wolffe rumbled.
Elena didn't say anything, she just continued to look at Wolffe with an unblinking stare.
"What?" Wolffe crossed his arms over his chest and Elena's eyes widened.
"Holy crap." Elena whispered.
"What is it now, Lena?" Jeremy asked with a chuckle.
"Jeremy, his arms are the size of my head!" Elena exclaimed happily before trying to wrap her tiny hands around Wolffe's bulging bicep.
"Elena, I think you're freaking him out a little." Jeremy said before he burst out laughing.
Elena force in what she was doing and looked up at Wolffe who was staring at her with a freaked out look on his face. Then she gave a half chuckle and backed up, "Heh, sorry."

Shrike
He wants to play the latest and greatest VRMMORPG game, but he can't muster up the cash for the fancy new proprietary hardware and membership license. After months of saving up cash and arduous work, he has built a behemoth of a machine relying almost entirely on seedy old technology and a DIY guide by some dude named "Jimmy Bob." This is the story of his entry into the game. This is also a story of intrigue, exploration, introspection, batshit crazy game design, and unintended but entirely predictable consequences. This is G.C.O. Undergoing a total re-write, mostly because I think things were too rushed rather than any content or direction changes. If you are one of the few who tried Shrike when it was briefly updating, consider giving it another shot. Of no relation to either The Great Crusade or the recent (in 2017 lol) Shrike book for Warhammer by Games Workshop. All similarities in these cases are superficial; please don't sue me. Feedback welcome and encouraged, never be afraid to review or comment. HQ/Kindle-Grade cover art. Book Cover 2.0: "From the Dark"

Second Wind, legend of Pandemonium (Finished/Incomplete)
The developers of the worlds leading VRMMORPG Edge Online have decided to shut down its servers after over a decade. Shugireth Darkstar, the leader of Pandemonium, Edge Online's top guild, suffers from a deadly disease and his end is near. He hasn't left his VR pod for 5 years, as the medical nanodroids at the hospital takes care of him. Without Edge, he will die, because his physical body has already been all but destroyed by the sickness. Seeing no light at the end of the tunnel, Shugireth Darkstar, the Master of Pandemonium, stubbornly stays behind as the servers shut down... If that was all, we could end this story right here. However, that was only the beginning of the legend of pandemonium. The prelude to the movement, if you will. Shall we see what happens next? -------------- Some notes from Me (The author, gasp surprise): I first wrote this (100k) as an experiment. I saw the advice about having foils for overpowered MCs, and I watched quite a few lectures on writing. I wanted to test things out for myself and see if I could carry a story through other ways than only relying on physical conflict like some thrillers do. Thus this might lean a bit towards slice of life with a romance subplot, but I don't want to give my story away so read it if u want to know more. This was basically never intended for anyone else's eyes but my own, and written to explore writing as a process. This wasn't my attempt at writing a good book, but it turned into something that I think might interest some people, so I decided to pop it up here. It is slightly old so my style and writing skills have advanced considerably since I first started this thing. Having said that, I think it's pretty readable, but I am very interested in how other people will receive this. Please feel free to criticize it and just in general shoot me some feedback on what you think. It contains light Litrpg elements, not heavy table spam, it's just the basis of the world. Although I like that sort of thing, this was written before I even knew of Royalroad and hadn't considered litrpg much. Some of you may recognize that it was slightly inspired by Overlord. Also, the Tags for sexual content and traumatizing content are there as a precaution on all of my stories pretty much, even if my story does not contain any of that at the moment. I can't really know what the future will bring, but in the case of this story I do know a little bit, since I wrote 100k words before posting it here. And I just posted it on a whim because I figured some readers on Royalroad might enjoy this story.
