《The second granger-Harry Potter》•Dementors•

"I wonder who the new dark arts teacher is going to be." Ophelia snorted with laughter as she boarded the train, walking with her older sister Hermione.
Hermione and Ophelia were beginning their 3rd year at hogwarts this year. The lights on the train and scent of sweets brought joy to both of them, and you could see it in their faces. Everything was beautiful. From the sights out of the window the second the train began to move to the comfortable home like seats on the train.
Hermione giggled as she took a seat in a compartment. Ophelia did the same after her older sister. Eventhough Hermione was quite a bit older, they were in the same year.
Ophelia brushed her pale, silky pale brown hair out of her face and tucked it behind her ear as she pulled out her soccer ball. She had shrunk it into her pocket so that she could sneak it into the compartment. In the corner, there was a teacher resting. He was surely asleep and Ophelia wasn't worried to get in trouble.
She pulled out the shrunken soccer ball and tapped it with her wand, causing it to grow to regular size.
"Ophelia you're insane." Hermione judged, looking up from her school book. Hermione had always been a smart girl, even before they went to hogwarts.
Ophelia stood up and started bouncing the ball on her ankle and knee constantly. Hermione kept nervously glancing towards the man in the corner. Thinking about it, the man looked exhausted even when he was sleeping.
"Give it a rest. I'm not going to wreck anything." Ophelia tested. Hermione rolled her eyes and dug her nose back into her book.
The ball bounced from Ophelia's knee to the bottom of her shoe and into the air and over her head. She flipped over, kicking the ball harshly and sending it flying.
Hermione looked up urgently and gasped as Ophelia landed firmly on her feet before reaching for her wand.
Before the ball could hit the compartment door, it swung open. The speeding ball hit the deep haired boy directly in the nose and sent him stumbling backwards.
"Harry I am so sorry!" Ophelia pleaded, rushing over to Harry and hugging him. She looked up at him, examining his nose with her eyes.
Ron snorted from behind Harry and pushed past them, walking over to greet Hermione.
"Good day Ophelia." Harry chuckled, rubbing his nose gently.

He stepped into the compartment and allowed the door to close behind him before leaning down and hugging Ophelia awkwardly.
"Is it okay?" Ophelia asked, still staring at his nose.
Harry was oblivious sometimes. It was obvious Ophelia had always had a soft spot for him. She felt horrible for hitting his nose with the ball.
Harry nodded before walking over to the compartment and greeting Hermione. The rain from outside hit the train window roughly, causing loud droplet noises to echo through the room. Though, even when it was stormy outside, the 4 of them felt at home next to each other in the warm compartment.
Hermione and Ron took seats next to each other and Harry and Ophelia took seats across from them.
"Still being sent to Azkaban?" Ophelia teased Harry. He had inflated his aunt over the summer and nearly got expelled.
"Very funny Ophelia." Harry replied sarcastically.
Ophelia leaned back in her seat and twirled a strand of her long hair around her finger. She aimlessly yet lightly kicked her legs back and forth under the table as the others talked.
Things were great now. Ophelia thoroughly enjoyed being with the three of them. She got angry sometimes but only because Ron would treat her as if she was JUST hermione's younger sister and not his friends, though it happened rarely. Even Hermione babied her sometimes. Harry never did that which she appreciated.
Both Ophelia and Hermione had glown up over the summer. It seemed Ron and Harry did aswell. Ophelia even caught herself staring at Harry just because of how amazing he looked.
His hair was messy but in the best way, and his jawline was much sharper this year. She couldn't explain to herself why his change was so impressive to her.
"Earth to Ophelia." Ron scoffed teasingly.
Hermione elbowed him as Ophelia snapped into reality. They were all staring at her with their eyebrows raised.
"Sorry what?" Ophelia grinned. Hermione giggled and Harry laughed.
"Anything from the trolley?" Ron questioned.
Harry had his money bag out and the trolley with food was sitting in front of their table with a woman with her hands placed on the end of it.
"No I'm alright." Ophelia insisted. In reality, she was hungry. She just hated spending Harry's money. Or anybody's for that matter.
Harry raised his eyebrow and grabbed a bag of chocolate frogs off the trolley and paid for them. He knew Ophelias favourites were chocolate frogs.

She grinned as he placed the frogs in front of her.
The woman slowly pushed the trolley out of the compartment. Light from the next compartment shone through for a second, brightening the room lightly.
"You didn't have to." Ophelia said, stuffing her mouth with a chocolate.
"Just a gift for my favourite granger." Harry teased.
Hermione scoffed playfully and Ophelia burst into a light laughter. Ron grinned and laughed aswell. Ophelia was blushing slightly, but she couldn't tell if Harry made the joke in attempt to flirt with her or Hermione.
"You think I can make the quidditch team this year?" Ophelia interrupted through her laughter.
"For sure. You going for chaser then?" Harry responded. He loved talking about quidditch with Ophelia because unlike Hermione, she actually understood something about it.
Ophelia opened her mouth to reply when suddenly, things got dark and gloomy. It went dark so that everything was blurry and barely visible.
A hand gripped her hand tightly. The touch felt warm and comforting, and for some reason, she felt safe just by a mystery touch, so she didn't bother pulling away.
They heard stumbling from the corner of the room in which the teacher had been sleeping. Ophelia had assumed the teacher awoke to the sudden stop.
"Dementors." Hermione whispered. She now knew it wasn't hermiones hand holding hers because her voice came from the spot across.
Out of nowhere, a dementor shot from through the slightly open window in the compartment next to them.
The hooded figure flew towards Ophelia and Harry. Ophelia shrieked and reached for her wand as Harry pulled her into a protective grip and pointed forward his wand.
Ophelia, instinctively huddled her head close to Harry and closed her eyes.
Ophelia felt Harry go cold as a voice yelled "Expecto patronum!"
The dementor made a shrieking noise before escaping through the open window. The lights flickered back on quickly.
Ophelia quickly pulled herself away from Harry and looked at his face. He was passed out cold and she knew it from the second he went cold in the dark.
"Hermione!" Ophelia breathed urgently.
Both Hermione and Ron glanced to Harry and froze in shock.
Ophelia was in shock too. She stood up and allowed the professor to awake Harry quickly. The second he opened his eyes and sat up, Ophelia climbed next to him and wrapped her arms around his neck and into a hug.
"Thank you professor..." Hermione began.
"Lupin. Professor lupin." The man said with a smile. Ophelia glanced back and smiled at him thankfully before pulling out of her hug with Harry and sitting on her knees next to him.
Hermione chatted with Lupin for awhile, thanking him various times. Ron came over to Ophelia and Harry to check up on them.
"Alright mate?" Ron asked. Harry nodded, though he was shaking. Ron was always there for Harry. They were an iconic pair really.
"You scared the shit out of me." Ophelia grinned. Harry gave her a weak smile though he felt his stomach twirl.
Ron pulled Ophelia out of the seat and sat next to Harry. He talked in a whisper and Ophelia rolled her eyes as she walked over to Professor Lupin and Hermione.
"Thank you professor for the help." Ophelia thanked him. She shook his hand and he smiled.
"Just doing my job." Professor Lupin grinned. He bid the girls goodbye and exited the compartment to check on the other students.
Ophelia turned to walk over to the guys when Hermione gripped her arm and pulled her back.
"What?" Ophelia snapped. She instantly gave Hermione an apologetic look. She hadn't meant to be rude.
"Are you sure you don't fancy Harry?" Hermione asked seriously. Ophelia scoffed and glanced back at them to make sure they weren't listening.
"Hermione he's literally like an older brother to me." She insisted. That's truly how she felt about Harry, he was her bestfriend. Plus, she wasn't even nearly as close with him as she would be if she liked him. Their group was sort of like Ophelia and Hermione and then Ron and Harry. Two duos.
Hermione gave an uncertain nod before walking over to the guys again.
The train was already moving again.
Ophelia took a breath before walking over to the guys aswell.
"This year is going to be rather eventful isn't it." Ophelia joked, taking her seat next to Hermione, across from Harry.
Little did she know, Harry was the one with a killer, Sirius Black after him. She would also have quite the eventful year, that was for sure.

Science fiction elements won't be introduced for quite some time. I currently update my work at a rate of one chapter per week. I'm also in the process of editing chapters 1 - 7, changing the format to make it more readable, and introducing more show and less tell. The reworked chapters will have (edited) after the title. All chapters after 8 have already been written in the new style. I have a Patreon page if you wish to donate. Also, there will be intense situations, some explicit violence, and although it is not an erotic work, one or two sex scenes.

my first story ^U^
author note: yaaa hurray it’s my first story ^U^ i hope you all like it! all characters belong to my special friends who submitted them!!ok heres the first chapter enjoy ^U^ TL note: Some of you may be wondering why I am translating a story written originally in English, to English. I remember reading this story many years ago, as a teen, and had since dismissed it as a bizarre fever dream. Only recently, through much Googling, did I manage to rediscover it, and as such decided to not only read it again, but fix the author’s many typing issues and share the context of what I remember from its original happening. I believe the story underneath to hold deeper meanings than its strange happenings, but at minimum I hope you will appreciate it for the sheer weirdness of it all. For the best experience, skim it for your first reading and, if you are interested, read more deeply the second time. Some typing is left as-is to preserve what I believe to be authorial intent, or at least necessary effect. If you notice any typing issues I managed to miss, please email them to me at [email protected]
