We looked at each other for what felt for hours, before Josie turned her head looking at me, "Tavia! Hi! you look great!" She complimented with a soft smile, I looked at Josie breaking the eye contact, "Hi, thank you! You guys do too!" I smiled back walking over towards them.
"Hey Tav.. you look amazing." Hope said softly with a smiled I felt like my heart just had a heart attack. "Thank you." my cheeks flushed with a slight red, "You look look fantastic." I added, "Okay enough with the compliments. I want to dance, let's go Jo." Lizzie interrupted as she took Josies hand and walking towards the crowd of students dancing.
Hope exhaled watching Lizzie walk away, "Lizzie being Lizzie right there." she noted turning her head towards me, I chuckled "I'm starting to get used to it." turning my head back towards her. The song playing ended before MG spoke into the microphone "What's up Salvatore school! Having a good night? I hope so! Now here, is the slow dance" He announced before lowly crescendoing a song onto the speakers.
(
Noticing everyone else is dancing with their date I slowly took a step back from the dance floor and turned around walking towards the chairs. "This is going to be boring as hell." I muttered to myself before feeling a cold hand reach for my wrist grabbing it. I look back and saw Hope looking at me smiling.
"What do you think you're doing? c'mon let's dance!" she said pulling me back towards the crowd, I didn't exactly know how to dance nor do in this situation, but yk. yolo I guess."I'm not much of a dancer." I said looking forward at her.
"I'll teach you." she replied grabbing my hands and placing them on her shoulders "Your hands here, then my hands here.." she explained before gently placing her hands around my waist, her touch was electrifying. "See, You're dancing." She smiled as she slowly swayed with the music, Us both in sync.

I looked into her light blue eyes as she stared into mine, she pulled me closer. Feeling her breath against my face, I quickly glanced towards her lips then back towards her eyes as she was staring at my lips. I've never wanted something so badly.
Hope quickly turned away after hearing her name being called out , she let go of me as I did the same. "Landon?" She spoke towards the Black curly-haired guy beside us. "I hope i'm not interrupting anything, I just wanted to talk to you about something."
He replied looking at me then Hope while speaking, "Yea sure, I'll be back." She reassured me as I nodded understandingly. She walked a few feet away from where we were with what's his name? Landon? I have no idea.,I just know he's her ex.
I looked around awkwardly, putting my hands in the pocket slits in my dress. "Oh my god I forgot about these pockets.." I said to myself before feeling a piece of paper in the pocket, a confused expression appeared on my face as I pulled the small paper out reading it. My face went blanked as I quickly looked up at Hope, she looked at me knowing something was wrong.
She walked towards me with Landon, "Whats wrong? What is that?" she questioned me taking the piece of paper reading "We're outside." she looked up at me furrowing her eyebrows slightly.
"Kai's back."

Scionsong
Aliyah Scionsong is a failed scion of her kingdom: a crumbling desert dominion entombed in poisonous mists, home to murderous Magicians and dimensional libraries bursting with secrets—a place where so-called ‘Healers’ are the most dangerous of all mages. Under pain of necessity, Aliyah has learned the forbidden magics which mold flesh and bone to her will; magic that can heal or harm in equal measure. When a royal execution triggers an imminent battle between the Magicians and a nest of faeries, it falls on her to make some very difficult choices. Save a traitor, become a traitor—she’s thrust into a world beyond the choking mists, where not all is as it seems. But at least she has her stolen knowledge. Perhaps her illegitimate magic will make the path ahead easier. Perhaps not. Meanwhile, ripples of unease spread across the lands; trouble is brewing between faery factions. There’s a disgraced dungeonrunner, and a faery general carrying the broken ghost of her murdered queen. Faeries scheme; the Magicians watch and wait. The Last Faery War has only ever been the last faery war for now. Content warnings: violence, profanity, gore and body horror, allusions to offscreen sexual content, disturbing themes. A Ten Pound Bag
A serial saga with short chapters published each and every morning to read over your coffee or tea. This is a "versus life" story with no great evil to face just life in a hard place during a hard time. Our hero and his companions get catapulted back in time and must find a way to not only survive but prosper. This story is definitely "R" rated maybe even NC-17 but don't expect explosions, blood and orgasms at every page turn. Bad words and uncomfortable topics are addressed in this story, this is not for every reader. This is a technical story and develops slowly at first, full technical details, maps and research are available over on Patreon. I hope you enjoy this story as much as I am. -Emmeran
