《SEA GREEN MEETS GOLD (N.M. & P.J.)》Chapter 23: Exploring

Percy walked in the direction of her house. She planned on walking through the woods behind it. The demigod still harbored some anger after her encounter with Damon.
The sea green eyed girl was pulled out of her thoughts when someone behind her called her name. "Percy."
She immediately recognized the voice and chose not to turn around. A second later, Klaus was walking beside her. "Hello, love."
Percy continued walking, not even sparring him a glance.
He sped right in front of her, stopping her from moving closer to the woods. "Why are you ignoring me, love?"
"Get out of my way." She mumbled as she stepped around him.
Once again he appeared in front of her. "Are you upset with me?"
"I'm a bit upset with several people." She looked at him expectantly. "Now, move."
He stayed in his spot. "Not until you talk to me."
Percy rolled her eyes.
The hybrid sighed. "Don't tell me this is about the little car bump incident."
"He's an innocent kid. Jeremy's only sixteen." The raven haired beauty stated.
Klaus relented with a smirk, "Okay, love. Next time I'll have my hybrid attack one of the other members."
Percy tried to stop a chuckle from falling from her lips. The corner of her mouth drew upwards slightly.
She shook her head, the expression not leaving her features. "You're not funny."
"The little smile you're adorning says otherwise." His smirk widened.
She pressed her lips into a straight line.
The demigod began walking again, stepping closer to the labyrinth of trees. Her arms were crossed as she made her way toward the forest.
Klaus walked beside her. "You said you were upset with multiple people, love." He said in an attempt to get her to open up. The hybrid sported a devilish smirk.
"I happen to be annoyed with Damon and Elena at the moment." The demigod kept her eyes on the trees.
Klaus's smirk simply widened even further. "And why is that, love?"
She huffed. "That's none of your concern. But, I feel like stabbing something right now."
The original chuckled. "Hmm. I have a bit of experience with those feelings."
Percy smiled a bit. "Yeah. I'm sure you do. And I'm sure you also have experience with ripping out people's hearts."
Klaus raised an eyebrow. "What would that have to do with it?"
"I almost tore Damon's out of his chest." She said nonchalantly.
The hybrid paused his steps and lightly grabbed her arm. He was surprised by her words. "He must have really upset you."
Percy walked past him again and entered the woods. Klaus sped up to walk next to her.

"You haven't tried to rip my heart out, love." The hybrid pointed out smugly.
The raven haired beauty didn't look back at him. "Yet." She said teasingly.
He grinned at her and stepped closer to her. His dimples appeared on his cheeks.
"You just don't want to admit that you don't want to rip my heart out. You like me too much." The arrogance in voice was almost overwhelming.
Percy leaned in close to his face. "Get over yourself."
She walked further into the sea of trees, Klaus following.
"So, where are we going?" He questioned.
The demigod shrugged. She thought walking through nature could bring her a sense of calm. Grover always loves nature. "Exploring." She replied.
•••
They continued hiking through the wide expanse of trees. The pair discovered a creek. Water flowed against rocks harshly, continuously flowing down the stream.
Percy controlled small amounts of water to jump out of the creek before smoothly returning back. She smiled slightly. It was fun to be in her own element.
The raven haired beauty imagined the water in the creek raising in the air. It flew up as high as the trees and made different shapes. The form of the water changed rapidly as her mind thought of different complex figures.
Klaus watched in awe as the water continued moving around the two. It danced through the air gracefully.
After a few minutes, the demigod caused the water to return back to its original location. The current picked up again and small waves formed in the creek.
Her smile grew as she watched the current crash against the rocks again. The constant flow was mesmerizing.
She felt peace wash over her. Percy closed her eyes and took a deep breath. The scent of salt water entered her lungs.
The sound of the waves falling consumed her. She felt the energy of the water. She felt the power surging through the changing patterns of the tide.
Power.
••••
When Percy and Klaus made their way out of the woods, the demigod received a text.
Once she pulled her phone from her pocket, she saw that Elena texted her.
The demigod restated what the message said to Klaus. "Apparently, Elena has something for you. And she would like us to visit."
Klaus raised an eyebrow. "Does she have news on where I might find Stefan?"
"I don't know. She didn't say what it was." Percy replied.
She looked up at the original. "Ready to go on another adventure?" The green eyed being wiggled her eyebrows with a smile.
Klaus nodded. "I guess we have to."
"Yeah. But, I'm sure the trip to the Salvatore boarding house won't be as exciting of an adventure though." She pouted.

The original thought she was adorable. The corners of his mouth went up.
"Come on, love. Let's go see the doppelgänger."
•••
Arriving at the Salvatore boarding house, Percy knocked on the door repeatedly. Glancing back at the hybrid she smiled, "Do you think I'm annoying them?" The demigod continued pounding on the door without ceasing.
Klaus chuckled. "Definitely, love."
"Good."
The door opened to reveal Elena. She regarded the demigod with disdain. "One knock works the same."
Percy sent a grin back at the hybrid, before looking back at the brunette. "I know." She said proudly.
Elena turned to Klaus. "Thank you for coming."
The demigod walked into the house, Klaus following. "I trust you have news of Stefan."
"I couldn't find him." Elena replied to the original. "But I have something else."
She led the two to the cellar. When the doppelgänger opened the door, Rebekah was revealed. She was daggered on the ground.
Percy narrowed her eyes at Elena. "You left her face first on the cold hard floor? Couldn't even lay a blanket down?"
Elena scoffed. "Why would I?"
Rude.
"My poor sister. I can't turn my back on her for a moment." The hybrid spoke as he looked at his sibling.
The doe eyed girl raised her chin up. "You have Rebekah. A deal is a deal."
"The life of my sister in exchange for your brother? Yeah, I'd say that's a bargain. Consider him spared." He glanced back at the demigod.
He had already agreed to stop going after the Gilbert. But the brunette didn't have to know that.
Elena brought the attention back to her. "You should know, I was the one that daggered her. When she awakes, she'll come after me."
As she should.
Percy kneeled down next to the daggered original.
"I can control Rebekah." Klaus assured the doppelgänger. He crouched down beside the green eyed demigod. "Besides, I still need your help finding Stefan."
The brunette argued. "I told you, I don't know where he is."
Klaus pulled the dagger out of his sister's back. "You're lying. Fortunately, you have no shortage of loved ones. If I don't find my family, the question you should be asking yourself is, who's going to die next? Bonnie? Caroline?" He turned his head to the doppelgänger, a devilish smile spreading across his features. "Damon?"
The hybrid stood up. Percy remained on the floor, beside Rebekah.
"It's only a matter of time before Stefan gives me what I want."
Percy piped up. "World domination?" The corner of her mouth went up when she said it.
Klaus sent her another one of his infamous smirks.
Elena shook her head. "He doesn't care about me anymore. You made sure of that. You turned him into a monster." She gave him a bold look.
It reminded Percy of a wannabe Katherine. "Now he's your problem."
The doppelgänger stepped closer to the hybrid in a way that was probably supposed to be threatening.
"And just so you know, I'm not the only one Rebekah wants dead. She knows what you did to your mother. She knows that you killed her." The brunette sneered, before walking out the door. She turned back briefly. "You can let yourselves out."
•••••
Percy and Klaus arrived back at the house that the hybrid was remodeling. Rebekah laid on a table in front of them.
The hybrid spoke to his still desiccated sister. "Here we are, Rebekah. Home, sweet home. Only took a thousand years."
He looked down at his sibling, a sad smile on his face. "And to think, I was counting on you being here with me."
Percy wanted to give him a hug.
"But that's all ruined now, isn't it?" He continued, his voice laced with pain.
The demigod spoke optimistically. "Bex didn't say she wanted you dead." Her words came out soft, knowing the hybrid was upset.
He sighed. "She may not have mentioned it to you, but there remains the chance that she does."
Percy nodded.
The gray skin on the original was fading. Her fingers began twitching slightly.
Klaus moved so that he was right next to his sibling. "I'm so sorry." He gently caressed her cheek with the back of his hand. "Sister."
The sea green eyed girl could see the grief in his eyes, as he regarded Rebekah.
"We'll meet again, one day." His voice was quiet.
He raised the dagger and stuck it into Rebekah's chest, killing her once again.
Despite how many times he's done it, he found it hard to dagger her. The hybrid wanted his sister to be there with him. He wanted to have her on his side. She was the person he felt he could at least partially depend on. Now, it seemed that she would want him dead.
He exhaled shakily as held the dagger in her chest.
The gray veins on Rebekah's skin reappeared. Klaus closed his eyes as tears threatened to fall.
Percy placed her hand on his shoulder, in a small attempt to comfort him. She saw one tear escape his eye, and the next moment, his arms pulled the demigod in for a hug.
The raven haired beauty immediately wrapped her arms around him.
He held her tightly, and she mirrored his grip.
Neither of the two wanted to let go.

Raven: The Beginning
'What's the worst that could happen'? is what I thought to myself as I entered the World of the Veil with a new, experimental machine that the company created. I was originally excited to participate in their alpha test, and now, looking back, I was just a naive little girl that didn't know what it was like to truly suffer. Sarah was one of the world's best assassin players, but she wasn't prepared for getting stuck as a low-level player in a new game. Suddenly she has to struggle just to survive against the monsters of the world, while also keeping her secret from the authorities. What happens when the killing, and the consequences, are just too real? Author's Note (and a Warning): This book is about a normal person that is forced into a fantasy / medieval environment. What could possibly go wrong with our heroine? This novel is a sort of, legacy. I wanted to at least put it out there before I passed away due to a combination of financial difficulty, homelessness, job loss, and my last interview taking up the last of my savings (which I did not get the job). If by some miracle, and I get a job that can give me a pay advance by next week (4/8) and I survive this turbulent time, I will edit this - and the formating of the book).
