《SEA GREEN MEETS GOLD (N.M. & P.J.)》Chapter 24: Irrational Fears

The demigod laid on the couch, watching Netflix.
Percy glanced out the window and saw it was getting dark.
The raven haired beauty still had a lot of energy. So, she decided to go on a run.
The demigod threw on a sweatshirt jacket and laced up her sneakers.
Locking the front door behind her, Percy began running. The sea green eyed girl felt the cool wind blow in her face.
She sped up her pace, the scenic views around her blurring together.
It was quiet outside. Mystic Falls was a lot different than New York.
Percy saw something fast rush by her in her peripheral vision. She turned her head, but didn't see anything.
The demigod decided to dismiss it and continued running. She pushed herself to move faster. The feeling of adrenaline pumping through her.
Suddenly, she was thrown into the wall of a shop that she was running by.
"Rude." She commented as she tried to push herself off the ground.
The voice of Stefan Salvatore responded. "Well, I wasn't trying to be nice."
He sped at her again, but when he got close enough, she slammed his head into the wall of the shop. The vampire groaned slightly from the demigod's strength.
Percy grabbed his arm and kicked his knee. He lost his balance for a second.
"Do you wanna try being nice now?" The sea green eyed girl asked with an amused smile.
Stefan used his vampire speed to shove her head into the wall forcefully. "No."
The demigod's vison went black as she passed out.
Dang.
••••••••••••••••
Percy awoke in a seated position. She heard voices speaking in front of her.
Her thoughts felt jumbled together.
The demigod opened her eyes.
She was in the backseat of a car. Elena sat in the front seat, next to Stefan who was driving.
Elena glanced back at the demigod, showing the fear in her doe eyes.
Stefan was speaking on the phone. "Making my next move. Let me ask you something. What's Klaus gonna do if he can't make anymore hybrids? Or if the one person who befriended him is gone?"
Someone on the other line said something in response and Stefan ended the call.
"What are you doing?" Elena exclaimed. "Stefan, let me out of this car! Do you hear me? Let me out of this car!"
Percy piped up, "I'm sure he can hear you Elena. He has vampire hearing."
She had decided she'd kick his ass later. Percy wanted to see what his plan was. "So, what's the plan, Stefanie? Because, so far, it seems pretty boring."
"I took Klaus's family to make him suffer. I'm not going to let him make himself a new one." Stefan replied.
Percy's eyebrows furrowed.
Elena spoke up, "So, then what are you doing? Are you going to lock us in some cave and keep us hostage?"

He can try.
Stefan glanced over at the doppelgänger. "Maybe, I'll just turn you into a vampire."
His words freaked out the brunette. "Stop the car, Stefan!"
When he didn't reply, Elena yelled, "Stop the car, Stefan!"
The Salvatore ignored her demand. He pulled out his phone and called Klaus.
"Stefan, how nice to hear your voice." The hybrid greeted sarcastically.
The vampire ordered him, "Tell your hybrids to get out of town, Klaus."
"Well, that's not going to happen until I get my coffins back." He replied.
***Warning: Character experiences extreme Anxiety⚠️

*
Stefan responded, "Okay, well, then I'm going to drive your blood source off Wickery bridge. Oh, and Percy too."
The demigod's heart started pounding in her chest. Her breaths came out short and quick.
Ever since she almost drowned in the muskeg at Alaska, she's had a fear of suffocating.
The thought of being submerged in the deep waters, filled her with immense anxiety.
She suddenly couldn't focus on anything else. Although her mind knew she couldn't drown, the dark fears still crept in.
The voices around her felt farther away.
"I don't believe you, Stefan. You won't kill them."
She couldn't slow her breathing. The raven haired beauty was hyperventilating.
The overwhelming fear of drowning consumed her. It didn't matter that she was a daughter of Poseidon who wasn't physically capable of drowning. It didn't matter that she could breathe under water and cause water to move as she willed it to. None of the logic she had imbedded in her head could calm the demigod down.
All her thoughts consisted of was pure, unadulterated fear. She couldn't stop the anxious thoughts from swirling around her head. It consumed her; all the fear, all the irrational worries took over her completely. And the feelings left nothing coherent or sensible in her mind, only dread remained.
Dark thoughts crept into her mind. Warm tears fell down her cheeks silently.
She didn't know what was happening around her. Her knees were pulled into her chest and her hands tugged at her hair.
Percy couldn't stop the fear. Her hands had pins and needles. She tried to calm herself down, but she couldn't.
She felt like she was dying.
The demigod feared drowning, yet she was already running out of air to breathe. Percy couldn't stop the panic attack from happening.
I can't breathe.
Her hands wouldn't stop shaking. Percy's breathing still remained uneven and quick.
A sense of dread took over her whole body. A harsh pain in her chest caused her to pull at her hair tighter.
I'm dying.
She didn't even notice when the car came to a stop. The voices in front of her sounded like a jumbled mess. The green eyed girl couldn't think straight. *
Her breathing slowed down as the demigod was overwhelmed with exhaustion. She still felt horrible.

The door next to her opened and a pair of arms wrapped around her. She was gently lifted out of the vehicle. A comforting scent filled her senses.
Percy felt a cold breeze as Klaus sped her back to his house.
The demigod's eyes felt heavy. She was still barely aware of her surroundings. Percy was in a daze, her mind too overwhelmed to take in anything else around her.
The green eyed being was gently set down on a bed. A fluffy blanket was placed on top of her. She felt fingers softly brush against her own. "I'm gonna kill him." Klaus spoke about the Salvatore, as he regarded the demigod.
"Stay." She mumbled under her breath. Her eyelids fluttered closed.
Percy was only partially aware of a dip in the bed being created. The hybrid laid down next to her.
The demigod drifted off to sleep.
•••••••••••••••••
Percy awoke from her slumber, her eyes opening slowly.
She saw Klaus pacing the room.
"Nik?" Her voice came out scratchy.
The hybrid spun around to look at her. His feet carried him to her side. Klaus crouched down next to the bed.
He tenderly picked up her hand and kissed the knuckles. "Are you alright, love?"
The demigod stayed silent. Klaus moved to lay next to her on the bed. His arms pulled her into his chest. Percy wrapped her own arms around the torso of the original.
He kissed the top of her head.
Klaus wasn't normally the type to comfort others. But, he found that with Percy, he wanted to. He wanted to make her feel better. The hybrid craved her happiness. He craved her smile.
And he hated that someone upset her. She was the person that deserved pain the least.
In his embrace, Percy found herself falling back into a dreamless sleep.

About forty-five minutes later, the demigod woke up again. She felt the comforting embrace of the person holding her.
"Hi." Percy spoke softly.
Klaus kissed the top of her head again. "Good morning, love."
She took a deep breath. His scent washed over her. It was a light scent of pine trees, woodsy and something else she couldn't quite place.
"Do you want to get something to eat?" He asked delicately.
The raven haired beauty adjusted her position to look up at him. Their eyes met and he continued. "There's a diner not too far from here. And-"
"Thank you." The words fell from her lips gently as her sea green eyes stared into his own.
Klaus held one of her hands. "For what, love?"
"For not leaving." She answered.
They examined each other's eyes for what felt like minutes, but was probably only seconds.
The hybrid kissed the back of her hand. She felt pulled towards him.
He looked back up at her. "Come on, love." Klaus encouraged the demigod.
Percy slowly let go of him. The original got off the bed and regarded her in amusement. The sea green eyed girl made no move to get out of the bed. She continued laying in her spot and smiled at him.
He raised an eyebrow. "I will carry you, if you don't get up, love."
She laughed and shook her head. The demigod didn't believe he actually would.
Klaus stepped closer and his one arm went under her knees. His other arm wrapped around her back as he scooped her up.
Percy moved around in his grip. "Hey! Put me down."
"Nope." He smirked and carried her out of the room.
The demigod tried to glare at him but a smile had crept its way onto her face.
He got to the staircase. "Nik! You dumbass-"
The hybrid used to his vampire speed to run down the steps.
When they reached the bottom of the staircase she began squirming again. She was struggling to hold back her laughter at the situation.
"What did you call me, love?"
Percy laughed harder. "Let me go, Nikkie. Or I'll break your face."
He grinned. "You would never. You like my face too much." Despite his response, he set her down, so that she was standing.
The demigod playfully nudged his shoulder. "In your dreams."
He chuckled and a devilish smile appeared on his face, revealing his dimples.
Klaus sped over to her and picked the demigod up again. He walked out the front door. Percy wacked his shoulder. "Nik, I swear-"
He chuckled and continued walking to his car. Stopping abruptly, he spun in a circle. Percy clutched onto him, as he did it again.
She was consumed with laughter. She laughed so hard she couldn't breathe.
He continued making his way toward the car with a smile on his features. The demigod was placed in the passenger seat of the vehicle.
Klaus got in the driver's seat.
The green eyed girl tried to stop her lips from pulling upwards. "You suck."
The hybrid sent her a devilish smirk. "Well, I am a vampire, love."
"Ew." Her nose scrunched up in a cute way and small chuckles escaped her. She glanced at him as he began driving. "Did you just make a vampire pun?"
"Only for you." He winked at her.

Greg Veder vs The World
The average person can easily understand that when it comes to living in a villain-infested, crime-filled city like Brockton Bay, treating life like a game can get you killed. It's kind of ironic, then, that Greg Veder has always been far more serious about games than he ever has about life. (Worm/The Gamer AU)

Re:Mento Mori
When Ryuji, a disgruntled salaryman, is supposed to reach an unfortunate end, he is instead thrust into a new world, inhabiting a body that isn't his own. Forced into a world filled with strife and death, can he claim freedom and happiness? Or will his turbulent new life only lead to suffering and pain? As with every time-loop story written by an amateur author, this is heavily inspired by Re:Zero. If I had to explain my book, I would say imagine Re:Zero, but the main character can actually fight people instead of just getting merked every time he meets someone with a weapon. The themes of this story are dark, so be forewarned. This is my first story so keep that in mind while reading it.
