The number of times that she had found herself locked up when she was still a field agent was insane. Most of the time, it was because of nothing but her partners screwing her over and then her having to pick up all of the pieces. There were still some of the Kree in the cell area with them, scanning all of them in order to get a read on what it was that they were going to do with them. And, of course, the first thing that they scanned was little Goose.
⠀⠀⠀⠀ "Species: Flerken," an automated voice spoke as they scanned the creature, and Poppy couldn't help but smile as the cat/Flerken just eyed the orange light that was scanning it. "Threat: high."
⠀⠀⠀⠀ They all watched as the Kree put a muzzle on the Flerken which made Goose meow as they attached the thing around his head, "It's a cat, not Hannibal Lecter," was all Nick could say to them as he eyed the Kree in front of them.
⠀⠀⠀⠀ Ignoring what it was that Nick said, the same Kree that had scanned Goose made his way over to Nick and held up his fist to scan him, "Species: human male. Threat: low to none."
⠀⠀⠀⠀ A small chuckle left Poppy's lips as Nick snapped between the two women that sat on either side of him and he gave them a confused look, "That thing's clearly busted."
⠀⠀⠀⠀ "Load the Flerken onto the Helion," The female Kree that had aimed her gun at Nick and Poppy told one of the Kree as she handed Goose off, before continuing. "Eject the others into space."
The Kree approached the group of them and pulled them to their feet, beginning to lead them through the corridors of Mar-Vell's ship. Poppy walked behind Nick as he was the front in their little group and she couldn't believe that she was going to die on a ship with a bunch of aliens. She thought that she would've died doing something far more stupid than what she was doing then. She thought that maybe she'd be on a mission against a secret organization and then a ghost would appear and manage to get her killed. Not be floated out into space like nothing but garbage.
Poppy could hear Goose chirping in the cage that they carried him in and she wanted nothing more than to see the Flerken kick all of the Kree's asses that were taking them to their death. She wanted to see the power go out and unleash them from the chains they were in, but she assumed that they were going to be the ones on top and that they were going to do something to Carol, and she couldn't think like that.
But that was when the power flickered, and the handcuffs around her wrists dropped to the floor.

Poppy was quick to slam her fist into the throat of the first Kree that she saw, and Fury and Maria jumped into the fight. They did whatever it was that they could to kick the alien ass in the corridor that they were in, and Poppy had a small smirk on her lips as she fought off against them. But just as they thought that they were doing well, all three of them were knocked onto the ground by the Kree and they all had their guns aimed at them.
Until they were blown back by a beam of energy.
When they all glanced down the hall, they found Carol standing there, glowing in all of the power that coursed through her veins. Poppy was breathing heavily as she stared at the woman at the end of the hall who held the lunch box in her hands. The woman began to approach the three of them as the power began to die down, which lead them to a new conversation.
⠀⠀⠀⠀ "You know you're glowing, right?" Nick questioned her, which made Poppy let out a low chuckle as she rolled her eyes.
⠀⠀⠀⠀ "I'll explain it later," Carol answered her as she gave them all a small smile. She pulled open the lunchbox to reveal the Tesseract and she turned her attention to Nick. "Take the Tesseract. Leave the lunchbox."
⠀⠀⠀⠀ "Me?" Nick questioned her, and Carol nodded.
⠀⠀⠀⠀ "Yes," Carol replied to him.
⠀⠀⠀⠀ "I'm not touching that thing!" Nick exclaimed, which made Poppy look to him.
⠀⠀⠀⠀ "Says the one who's holding the Flerken," Poppy said as she rolled her eyes.
⠀⠀⠀⠀ "You want me to get you ann oven mitt?" Carol questioned him, but before he could answer her, Goose's jaw unhinged and tentacles began to wave around in the air before the creature swallowed the Tesseract whole. That was enough to make Nick drop the creature to the ground and all of them processed it as they glanced at each other. "Get the Skrulls on the Quadjet and go." Carol then turned her attention back to Nick. "Take the Flerken with you."
⠀⠀⠀⠀ "What about you?" Maria questioned her as Carol began to run away.
⠀⠀⠀⠀ "I'll buy you some time!"
⠀⠀⠀⠀ The three of them exchanged a few glances, before Nick turned his attention back to the Flerken, "I"m going to pick you up now." He squatted down and picked up the animal, and as he scratched it behind the ears, he spoke again. "I'm trusting you not to eat me."
They did as Carol had told them to do and they began to make their way down the hall to where it was that the Skrulls were being kept. They didn't know what it was that they were going to have to do, but they had the fluffy Flerken, and both Maria and Poppy had Kree weapons. They were ready to deal with whatever it was that was going to come in their way, and they were pretty positive when a group of Kree appeared in front of them. That was until they found out that their guns were jammed.

But it was no big deal because once Goose realized that there was something wrong, the Flerken did what it had done to the Tesseract. It unhinged its jaw and allowed the tentacles to do their job as they thrashed around at the Kree and grabbed onto them -- slamming them against the walls and the ceiling. But when the Flerken was done, he swallowed them all whole and all three of them stared at the creature. Poppy didn't know what it was about the Flerken, but she kind of wanted to have one as a pet and she hoped that Nick wasn't going to call dibs on Goose.
Though, just as they were running down the halls and making their way to the Skrulls, it seemed as if they had found them. A few of the Kree guards stopped them in the halls, and that was when they had hoped that Goose was going to do his thing. But it didn't matter how many times Nick had told him to 'do his thing', the cat didn't listen. Instead, when he was dropped onto the ground, the cat made his way over to the Kree and began to rub against their legs, purring in the process.
⠀⠀⠀⠀ "Dammit, Goose, pick a side," Nick groaned as the Kree picked Goose up by the scruff, making the cat meow as he stared at it.
⠀⠀⠀⠀ "Take them to the hangar, too," The Kree man ordered as they began to approach the three of them, never putting down Goose as he approached. "We'll blast them all into space." But as the Kree man continued to approach them, Poppy could hear the Kree man mutter something to him. "Play it cool. Just like Havana." They continued to walk and the man continued to talk. "Do you have the thing?"
⠀⠀⠀⠀ "Flerken kitty ate it," Was all Nick said in response to the Kree, who was obviously Talos as he held onto Goose.
They made their way into the hangar bay and all of the Kree soldiers yelled at the Skrulls to keep moving, and, of course, the one Kree whispered to Nick something that Poppy couldn't hear. That was when the Kree began to open fire on his own people, and when Poppy glanced over to him, she finally realized that it was Talos and a sigh of relief left her body as she picked up a gun and began to usher the Skrulls onto the ship.
Maria and Poppy jumped into the pilot's seats as they began to fire up the ship, and when everything seemed to be going well and dandy, they heard the sound of Talos groaning. Poppy glanced over her shoulder to see that the Skrull was laying on the ground and Nick was talking to him. But it wasn't difficult for her to realize that there was something terribly wrong and that they had to do whatever it was that they could to get him back to Earth so that they could help him. Because if Poppy knew anyone that would've been able to help him, it would've been Fayre.
⠀⠀⠀⠀ "We got a bogey coming in hot," Maria commented as their sensors caught something and Poppy let out a small sigh as she began to flip switches on the ship like Maria had. "Ready for a space fight?"
⠀⠀⠀⠀ A small smirk appeared on Poppy's lips as she nodded her head slightly, "Always,"
It didn't matter what it was that the alien behind them did to open fire, Poppy and Maria were pretty quick to fly out of range of her shots. By as they were flying between canyons, it became a little difficult to get out of her way, but Maria had a plan, something that was easy for Poppy to catch up on. They flipped the ship around and . made their way around the canyon until they found themselves in front of the Kree ship and both Poppy and Maria began to open fire on her ship until they watched it explode.
And when they thought that it couldn't get any stranger, they watched as a beam of bright light flew past them and attacked the ship that Yon-Rogg was in. Nick, Maria, and Poppy all glanced at each other for a few seconds, before realizing that it was Carol that had flown past them.
Poppy glanced over her shoulder to see that Nick had been holding Goose in his hands and she gave him a small smile as she shook her head at him. She knew that it was going to be difficult to fight him about who gets to keep Goose, but she wanted to be the one to have the Flerken at her side. Besides, she didn't think that Nick knew how to take care of a cat in the first place -- let alone a Flerken.
But as he was messing around with the Flerken, all Poppy heard was the sound of the creature snarl at him before slashing his paw at him. Poppy snapped around to look at Nick to see that his eye was severely injured and she narrowed her eyes at him. But when both Maria and Poppy asked if Nick was okay, all he said was that it was just a scratch.
Though, from the looks of it, it was going to be so much more than that.
