《Shadow of Light (Uruk-Hai x She-Elf)》Zag

She'd given it a moment to stop trying to jump up every five minutes, before she grabbed some tools, then reached for the creature's stitches. As could be expected, it bared its teeth with a growl. "I have to-" she stopped herself with a sigh of aggravation as she pointed to the wound. With a grunt, it relented with a look of decided displeasure.
She set to work removing the stitches and applying more salve. Seeing how this thing behaved, she would have to bandage it to prevent tearing. She'd spent this time carefully watching the creature, to be ready in case it did something. Though it seemed to be doing much the same; monitoring her every move as if it expected her to suddenly stab it.
Of all the things she thought she'd do, tend the wounds of a creature like this, had not crossed her mind. She wondered which would be worse to tend; an orc or this Uruk-Hai. She guessed an orc would probably squirm more, and be a bigger general nuisance. Though if it were an orc she were handling, it might have already been dead.
"Why do you heal me?..." she jumped in surprise as the creature spoke. Its voice was heavily accented and deep, but low and clear. She began wondering on all she had said under the misapprehension that she couldn't be understood. "Um... Pardon?.." she finally replied, but the creature seemed to have no intention of repeating itself.
She cleared her throat. "I.. I don't know. I guess... Pity?" she said. It gave an annoyed grunt as it looked away from her. She got the impression that was a less than satisfactory answer, but that's what she had. She tied the bandage, concluding her work. "There, just don't move too much. You should probably eat something, one bowl of broth isn't a whole lot." she said. "I do not need the preening of a she-elf..." it growled, casting a baleful glare on her.

she crossed her arms in annoyance. "Well, the preening of this "she-elf" saved your hide!" she shot back. "A true accomplishment. You helped your enemy escape a deserved death." it grumbled. This confused her in a great many ways. First, the creature she had assumed functionally mute, possessed a fair vocabulary, only to use that vocabulary for sarcasm, then it seemed disappointed to still be alive! A great many things were wrong with this creature.
She rolled her eyes. "Just eat something. If you pass out from starvation, that's your problem." She stood and walked to pour herself a drink, one she felt was well deserved. "I expect you'll be stuck here for the next two days at least." she threw over her shoulder before taking a sip. "I do not intend to stagnate here." Muttered the creature. "Well, if you want to leave, take it up with that sword wound." she spat. She was losing her patience, maybe wine wasn't a great plan.
She quickly swung around as she heard weight shift from her cot. The creature had risen to its feet, but it wasn't paying her any attention. It was glancing around the room, seeming to be looking for something. She raised her brow inquiringly, till the creature found what it sought. It reached down grabbing the mass of scrap leather and metal that had once been the creature's upper body armor.
With a roar, it threw the scraps aside, casting a look of rage on her. "What? Whatever shape it feigned before was long gone. It was more or less scrap before I removed it." she reasoned. "Skai golgi!" spat the creature. She wasn't certain what that meant, but she was certain she didn't want to know.
The next few hours passed silently, with neither she nor the beast exchanging a word. As night fell, she chose not to sleep in her hut, not liking the idea of being unprepared with a conscious creature. So she decided on sleeping in a tree nearby, this seemed much safer. She wouldn't have been shocked if the creature ran out in the night, as desperate as it was to leave during the day. Taking her bow, she perched in the branches of a tree just close enough to see her door. There she laid back to rest, hoping to be ready for any change in the night.
