Scarlett pov

It's been 2 months since Cassy moved in. I'm out of my wheelchair and we finished the mating process.

Me and James are great together. He's changed. Or maybe that spell was just that effective.

"Grace? What's wrong?" I ask the quiet girl.

The past two months, Grace had gone quiet. She hates talking and ignores us often. She hangs out with lots of mate less male wolves and goes with them. I don't know what's wrong. I need to find out!

"Just shut up Scarlett. You'd never understand how I felt." Grace yelled.

I felt tears at my eyes. Why won't she spill the beans.

"Why is Scarlett about to cry?" James yelled angrily.

"Oh don't blame me alpha! This stuck up bitch doesn't know what I'm going through. She's such a crybaby. Why would you mate with a weak Luna?" Grace laughed evilly.

Tears left my eyes and I ran out of the pack house and into the forest. I miss grace. I miss my best friend. Celine come back.

Grace pov

Why can't I have my mate! He knows me. I know him. But he is unacceptable. We met 3 months ago. I love him as he loved me.

"Loved me"

He doesn't love me anymore. That guy loves Scarlett. Thus the reason why I hate her. I finally found my mate and she goes on ahead an ruins it.

"Grace. Go apologize to Scarlett." James demands.

"No way! Why don't you go and comfort your mate?" I ask sarcastically.

James growled and ran off.

I smiled and went to see Cassy. We have gotten closer and I hope she isn't angry at me.

I knock on her bedroom door and she opened it.

"Go away Grace. You are NOT our friend." Cassy slammed the door.

"Wait! Cassy!" I yell.

I hear faint sobs and I sigh. I walk to my room. What is wrong with me? I got nobody now because of how I acted.

"Grace?" I hear Cassy's soft voice call out.

"Yeah?" I ask.

"Don't ever talk to me again. Not until you change." Cassy said angrily.

Of course by this statement I gasped and ran off.

I need him. Right now! Why does he love Scarlett.

She is so in for it.

Scarlett pov

"James answer my question! Why does she hate me?" I cry.

James just sat with me in his lap. He rubbed circles on my back and occasionally stroked my hair.

"I don't know princess. Maybe she's jealous." James sighed.

"Why would she be jealous of me." I say sobbing softly still.

"You and Cassy both are mated and so happy. But she doesn't have her mate yet. Maybe Grace wants to experience love." James explained smartly.

I thought about that. Wow. She probably does need her mate.

"Well well well. If it isn't 2 happy mates cuddling." Grace smirked from above us.

"What do you want?" James growled.

"Your death! James I hate you! Why must you ruin everything. Let me kill your mate." Grace said with a killer instinct.

James growled but I froze. She wants me dead. When she saved me months ago!

"Go away Grace. You should be glad your still in this pack." James spoke angrily.

"Did you know that Nick escaped weeks ago?" Grace suddenly asked calmly.

James stopped shaking violently. I stared at grace like she had 4 heads.

"Yeah I did know. I'm the alpha. Of course I would know grace." James rolled his eyes.

"Well by the looks of it, you didn't tell your sweet and happy mate. And look at her face now." Grace said sweetly.

These past few months, I regretted becoming friends with Grace. I want Celine to come back. But she's dead. And I need her more than ever.

"Banish her." I speak coldly.

James and grace both stares at me. They look at me confused and then Grace looks at me with hatred and betrayal.

"Banish me! Are you out of your mind! I'm your best friend!" Grace yelled.

"You were my best friend. And now.. Your only a peasant to me. I don't want you here anymore. You hurt me." I say while thinking of our happy memories.

'Scarlett don't let her go.'

'Let her stay.'

Voices rung throughout my head.

"Not again." I mumble.

"Please let me stay!! No don't let me go!" Grace cried.

I stare at her and sigh.

"You got one last chance."

"Okay." Grace said softly.

I sat in silence and Grace left the room. I sighed and being to ponder of who is telling me what to do.

"Ready to go back Scarlett?" James asked me kindly.

I smile and nod. I interlace our hands together and I grin. I feel butterflies in my stomach even when I'm used to it. James is so perfect. Why does he need to have a Luna like me?

"James you should find someone better. A different but much stronger Luna." I say out of the blue.

James stopped walking and looked at me sadly.

"Scarlett I'm so lucky to have a mate like you. I've hurt you so many times but you still accepted me. I abused you for years. I rejected you. But that never harmed you in the end. You had 2 different mates to choose from. I was the alpha mate who was desperate for someone. I can't believe you chose me. Scarlett your my definition of perfect. Your the girl I'll love for the rest of my life. I will never hurt you again, but if I do I have to make you find someone better. I love your brown long hair that bounces on your back when you walk. I love your beautiful blue eyes that mesmerizes me every time I look at you. Scarlett I would never want you to leave me because your my drive to live every day. I love you princess."

"Thank you James. For always being here with me."

James smiled but love in the stare he has given me for years.

My eyes watered from the speech. Never once had Nick or Cato spoken to me like that. Speaking of nick...

"Nick escaped a few weeks ago right?" I ask but I feel the answer already.

"Yeah. I'm sorry I was to busy and forgot to tell you." James apologized.

I smile at him and he grins back.

"Who do you think Grace's mate was?" I ask a bit curiously.

"I have to clue. Apparently one of us is ruining it though." James chuckled at Grace's words from earlier.

"James!! Alpha James!! The- I- Celine! Luna Celine has demanded to see you alone outside of the pack border!" A warrior blabbered out.

Celine!

"Celine is dead fool!" I yell.

"That's why she's here. To explain why she isn't dead."
