"Fuck off Zendieya." Tom looked up from his phone and spoke sarcastically. Juniper smiled from her seat next to him at the kitchen table and took a sip from her glass.

Zendaya flipped him off and took a bite of cake angrily. Juniper giggled even more, the wine really not helping with her goofy mood. Tom smiled and looked at the girl.

"What's so funny?" He chuckled.

"She just looks like my dog when she eats angrily." Juniper giggled even more and covered her face with her (Tom's) sleeve.

"Excuse you, are you calling me a dog?"

"No! Well, yes, I mean no. I mean yes! I mean I don't know."

The whole table cracked up with laughter at Juniper's stuttered words. Summer and Teegan mocked her while the others laughed even harder because of it. Juniper blushed as red as the wine she was drinking and shoved her face into Tom's arm.

"Ok, I think that's enough wine." He spoke with a hint of laughter in his voice and took the glass out of her grip.

"You're all bullies." Juniper pouted.

"Technically," Jacob stated, "you're the bully for calling Zendaya a dog."

"What's wrong with dogs my dogs cute! She's fluffy and has pretty eyes. Zendaya has fluffy hair and pretty eyes."

Once again, her friends all laughed at her expense and she shrunk into her seat, hiding behind Tom even more.

"She's clingy when she drunk." Teegan pointed out when everyone stopped laughing.

"Yeah, I'm well aware of that." Tom replied, referring to the last time the girl was drunk around him. "I'm also not complaining."

"I'm drunk not fucking asleep." Juniper grumbled and sat up straight. "Fuck all you thots, I'm going to bed."

The girl attempted to stand up but immediately fell back into her chair. A bewildered look crossed her face and Summer snickered.

"Alright," Tom stood up and got a bottle of water out from the fridge. "I'll take her to bed."

"If she starts stripping look away."

"Stripping?" Tom raised his brows and Teegan and Summer looked at him with raised brows. "Forget I said anything."

Tom helped Juniper stand up and helped her walk slowly up the stairs to his bedroom. She immediately lay down on it and closed her eyes. He took her heels off and put the water bottle on the bedside table.

"You okay?" He whispered and put a blanket over her.

She grunted in response.

"Okay, sleep well."

"Stay." She reached an arm out. Tom stayed quiet. "Please."

Without a word, he kicked off his own shoes and got under the blanket with her. Juniper let out a deep breath and rested her head into his neck.

Both parties slept peacefully and undisturbed.
