It was two days since I've been at counseling because I actually had things to do but today was the day I was going back. Right now I was sitting at a Chinese restaurant with my sister and her boyfriend, talk about fun.
"Man, I'm telling you this lo mein is nice." He chomped and I disgustingly watched as the noodle flew out of his mouth and landed right by my plate.
I rolled my eyes before pushing my plate further away from the soggy noodle, "Ben, can you not talk while you're eating? It's gross."
"Oh Graycen, hush." He scowled before slurping his drink. "If I bought the food then I'll do whatever the hell I want with my food, okay?!" He joked and my sister literally laughed. He had a pot belly, a sweaty forehead, and a fucked up humor but here she was giving this crackhead all the attention in the world.
"You're like a pig," I mumbled under my breath before sipping my coconut water, "Taylor, what do you see in him?"
"When you're a divorced pregnant woman I don't think you have room to talk?" He retorted causing me pick up his plate of food and smash it in his face.
"Graycen!" My sister cried before smacking my hand away, the plate fell on the table and everyone was staring at us. "Why would you even do that?" She was mad at me for no reason. Why wouldn't she addressed her shitty boyfriend who threw a low blow at me? We already paid for our food so I was already out the door and in a cab on my way to counseling. Her boyfriend was literally the scum on Earth and my sister deserved better.
I got there before Taehyung and I was actually glad so I can get time to cool down. Why did I even allow Taylor's boyfriend to make me mad? I didn't care anymore but the idea of someone speaking about something they had nothing to do with boiled my blood.

"Hello Graycen," Amanda invited me into the room and the atmosphere was quite different this time, "do you like what I did with the room? I bought vanilla spice candles from Target and I lit them to create a nice atmosphere for you and Taehyung. I think this might be the day." I quirked an eyebrow before taking a seat and adjusting to the room.
I shook my head before lightly laughing, "There's a lot that still needs to be said, us, making up will probably not even happen until after the baby is born."
"And you don't see the problem with that?"
"I mean," I sighed, "I do. It's just that he needs to understand my point and why I did it. He's still hurt and I'm still hurt from him giving up on us."
"Okay, I understand that." She nodded before asking me. "What happened last time you were here? All I remember is you running out."
"One of my coworkers forgot to lock up so the stupid alarm system went off and the police came," I recounted with annoyance in my voice, "I was scared but my coworker said that she was rushing because her mom was in the hospital."
"I'm glad nothing serious occurred," she genuinely said before Taehyung walked into the room, "well hello Taehyung. Isn't this amazing?"
"What's amazing?" He asked with no enthusiasm. "All I did was show up to counseling." Here it goes again, his unenthusiastic attitude and negative energy was already consuming me.
Amanda smiled before sitting down, "And that's amazing that you showed up! Take a seat and lets start today. Counseling is going to be very brief today since I have my own business to take care of."

"Great." He commented causing me to give him a look. Can he at least act like he wants us to stop fighting?
"So, I want to go back to where we left off," Amanda said as she tapped her pen on the table, "there was a way that your marriage could've been saved and why was that?" I waited for Taehyung to say something but he didn't utter a word so I sighed before sitting up in my seat.
"Do you know how hard it is to try when the other person isn't trying with you? That's how it felt really because I was the only who really wanted to stay together even though I fucked up. I wanted to fix my mistake," I paused, "you get what I'm saying?"
Amanda hummed while writing down whatever she was in her notepad, "Yes, continue."
"I just didn't want to give up and move outta my home-"
"For the last time, Graycen." Taehyung interrupted with a frustrated expression drawn on his face. "It's not your apartment, it was never your apartment when my name is on that lease. You decided to move in then you decided to move out."
"I never moved out I wish you'd stop saying that!" I argued back this time turning in my seat to face him. "I went away then I came back and I'm sorry. I am truly sorry that I wasn't there for you but I thought we needed space."
"I wish you'd stop deciding yourself what we needed," he looked back at me, "why would I need space from you after something tragic happened to the both of us? By the time you came back that's when I needed space from you then you refused to leave my place like that helped anything. I felt like a hostage but instead it was when the kidnapper wouldn't leave my place."
"And guess what that's called?"
"Bullshit-"
"- no it's called marriage," I corrected with a scowl on my face, "when you marry somebody you just don't stop or walk away."
Sucking his teeth, I turned all the way in his chair and glared at me. "That's exactly what you did, Graycen! You walked away and you stopped checking on me! You didn't know if I was okay or what. Do you know what it's called when there's no spark? It's called divorce."
"Um, okay." Amanda chimed in before I said anything. "It looks like I'll stop you both there."
"Thank God!" Taehyung exaggerated before standing to his feet. "I'm going to go now, is that okay?"
"Yes, that's fine." After Amanda gave him the okay he was out in a jiffy. "Graycen, you know you can go right?"
"Just give me time, I don't think I'm ready to drive right now."
