《Ryujin Imagines (gxg)》I'll always protect you (requested)

"That was so good." You said as you put your fork on the empty dish in front of you.
"It was." Ryujin agreed. "I'm glad we could finally enjoy a nice dinner and a romantic evening together."
"Same here." You smiled. "Are you ready to pay the bill and get going?"
"Yeah. I'm just going to run to the bathroom real quick and then we'll get going. Sound okay?"
You nodded and she got up, kissing you on your cheek before heading to the bathroom.
You reached for your glass and took a few sips of the beverage you ordered.
Deciding to occupy yourself until Ryujin returned, you pulled out your phone.
However, you nearly dropped it when you heard a much too familiar voice coming from beside you.
"Well, look at that. I finally found you, baby."
Your heart sank when you heard her voice. You recognized her in only a heartbeat - your ex-girlfriend.
You turned your head and instantly met her eyes; those dark, evil eyes.
"Look at you, darling. You're still so beautiful."
You swallowed thickly as your heart began to pound and your palms began to sweat.
"Stay away from me." You spoke but she just chuckled, shaking her head.
"Absolutely not." She said, sending you a despicable grin. "I've been hoping to run into you somewhere, ever since you left me."
Her tone changed, now more seething than ever before.
"Why'd you leave me in the first place, huh? I treated you well."
"Treated me well? You hurt me! You hurt me every single day that we were together. Physically, mentally, emotionally - you hurt me in every way that you could! That's what you call treating me well?"
She just smirked and put her hand over yours.

"You're coming with me, babe."
"I'm not going anywhere with you." You said and pulled your hand out of hers before standing up and rushing towards the bathrooms.
But your ex caught up to you and grabbed your wrist tightly in her hand.
Shoving you against the wall, she was angrier and scarier than ever before.
She'd caught the attention of a few other people in the restaurant.
But she'd also caught the attention of someone else...
"Hey!" You heard Ryujin yell, her voice raised at your ex from beside you. "Get away from her!"
Your ex clenched her jaw, her attention now shifted towards Ryujin.
"She's mine!"
"In your dreams, maybe. But she's been my girlfriend for the last few months now and she's told me all about the hell that you put her through. If you think I'm going to let you hurt her or take her anywhere with you - you better think again."
"She's coming with me and that is final!" Your ex screamed and tightened her grip on your wrists, a whimper escaping your lips.
As soon as Ryujin heard it, she stepped closer to your ex, completely fearless as her only priority was protecting you.
"You get your hands off of her and walk out of here right now," Ryujin warned.
"And if I don't?" Your ex chuckled before being caught off guard as Ryujin pushed her shoulders, making her let go of your wrist as she stumbled back.
"Don't you dare get close to her. Just turn around and walk away if you know what's good for you."
Your ex stood up and scoffed at Ryujin as she brushed off her clothes.
"Fine. She's not worth it anyway. She never has been." Your ex seethed before she walked away, exiting the restaurant.

You breathed out a huge sigh of relief and hugged Ryujin tightly.
"Are you okay? Let me see your wrist." She said and gently took it into her hands, looking it over. "You might bruise a bit but at least you're okay otherwise."
"Yeah, thanks to you." You said. "Thank you for protecting me and keeping me safe."
"It was no problem. To keep you safe, I'll do anything. No matter what it takes, I'll always protect you. I promise."
You put your cheek on her shoulder and she put her arms around you, kissing your head lovingly as she promised that you were safe and she'd never let anyone hurt you again.

Soul Core Online
Soul Core Online was a game that few people were interested in until after it was released, due to its odd way of handling character growth but this soon changed as people started to realise just how different this game was. Unlike many of its predecessors the NPCs in Soul Core Online acted in a way that was indistinguishable from real people and the world felt alive because of this instead of the empty and sterile cities we had come to expect, even walking down the street could give you insights to how these people lived. In my case this was the world that I had always wanted to visit and I soon found myself embroiled in the constantly changing world that is Soul Core Online.
