"TOOOORUUUU"
Taka called from where he stood in the kitchen.
"Whaaaaaaat why are you screeeamiiiiing"
His lover sarcastically answered as he slowly headed towards the kitchen as well.
"Stop copying me" Taka puffed his cheeks as he washed his hands while he finished up the dishes.
"Sure sure" the guitarist lightly answered, pecking Taka's forehead. "We ran out of dish soap, rice and snacks. Can you get some please?"
A moment of silence passed in which Toru looked dumbfounded.
"Like...right now?"
Taka nodded.
"Baby you want me to get out at midnight to get you dish soap and snacks"
"You don't know what kind of emergency happens suddenly"
"Taka what kind of emergency running out of snacks is"
"Just say that you don't want to get them for me"
"That's not my point."
And words stopped again while Toru merely stared at Taka, questioning what made him accept living with the ravenhead in the first place. But then again, the vocalist would have phoned him for an emergency for him to rush over and it'd turn out about snacks too if they didn't live together. Therefore, it didn't really matter.
"You going or not?" The leader sighed, pinching his brow.
"I still have some cleaning up to do, so no"
"You sure are demanding" Toru sighed, receiving a playful "But you love me anyway" from his lover. And that indeed was true, hence Toru only smirked in response.
"Take care of yourself" the younger one patted his boyfriend's head as he headed out.
Minutes passed after Toru left, where Taka emerged back into the kitchen to continue his chores.
However, the weather in his country was far from stable, which is something he should have considered as the cloth he was wiping the table with fell from his hand. Thunder was raging outside.

"I'm back!" Toru panted as he closed the door behind him. He took off his shoes and drenched jacket, before throwing the things he bought on the counter. "Taka?" He called but received no response. He expected the vocalist to run and take his food but he didn't. Maybe he's too busy cleaning, Toru justified as he headed to the kitchen, whose lights were on, but his petite lover was not there. Not in the kitchen, nor the livingroom or the bathroom, definitely not the balcony either. For a moment, Taka has disappeared. As another clap of thunder roared, Toru's brain connected the dots. He then raced the rain sliding down the windows as he ran up the stairs.
Frantically running into their bedroom, no one was there either. Yet, if he listened closely, whimpers could be heard somewhere in the very same room.
"Taka?" He softly called, walking towards the end of the room as the cries got louder. "Hey it's me" Toru whispered as he put his hand on the closet's handle.
Slowly, he opened the door to find Taka huddled in the corner, hugging his knees while tears freely ran down his face. "It's been a while since this happened" he mumbled as Taka buried his face back in his knees.
"Ne Taka?" He gently called, sinking to his knees to level with Taka' face. "Can you look at me?"
When the attacks first started, Toru was shocked beyond words and didn't know how to react. Now however, he already figured out how to treat his lover in such a state. "Taka look up a bit okay?" He slowly soothed, keeping a distance between them for if he touched the vocalist, he would start another attack and recoil into himself. As the vocalist did, Toru tried to draw out the warmest smile he could muster in such a situation.

"See? It's me, Toru" he vocalised carefully, nervously stepping closer to the wooden structure. "Everything is fine okay?" Was what Toru said but unfortunately, nature had different plans. Another loud sound rumbled in the sky the moment he uttered those words, stupefying them both. When Everything went still, Toru hesitantly glanced at Taka to see if he crawled back into hiding, only to be hit by relief when he found Taka still looking at him expectantly.
Stiffly, Toru extended his arm towards the smaller man. "It's okay, everything is fine" he repeated over and over, until his hand was on Taka's shoulder. "It's safe with me Taka. Want to come here so we can talk it out? Hm?" He smiled, giving a little squeeze into his grip. Moist black eyes stared back at him, and Taka's lips trembled slightly. Toru opened his arms encouraging, inviting his partner into an embrace. Taka took the chance immediately.
He jumped onto Toru who let out a brief "oof" as Taka's weight was thrown at him. "There there" he patted his lover's back as he straightened them up, maintaining their position on the ground. Toru slowly crossed his legs, sliding Taka's around his waist. "It's okay" his arms rubbed the fragile back as Moriuchi's face nuzzled his neck.
"I'm here" Toru whispered, softly kissing the side of Taka's head. Thunder screamed again, and Taka flinched in his arms, but Toru tightened his grip. "You were scared right?" He asked the obvious, receiving a nod from Taka. "I'm sorry" the blonde apologised as his hand slid into Taka's hair. "I won't leave you alone again"
"It's my fault for being a coward" Takahiro mumbled in his lover's neck, his nails digging Toru's back. "You're not a coward Taka. We all have things we're scared of. Childhood traumas are no joke." Yamashita explained while maintaining his hand's motion on Taka's back. "We'll work this together okay?" He assured. "So don't worry"
After a while, Toru started to feel Taka's pulse slow down. His breathing reluctantly went back to normal, yet his hold on Toru didn't falter. "Are you okay?" He cautiously inquired. "Can we stay like this for little longer?" He shyly asked. "Sure"
"It feels safe" Taka mumbled in his lover's shirt.
