《Naive Astronaut (Toruka Story english) 1.》Chapter 22

"Boy..." Kazmi's whispering voice penetrated Mori's subconscious. The father shook his son's shoulders slightly to wake him up, but it was only a stern request that made the alien startle.
"The time has come. Your journey begins and we should not waste time." The commander was alone, camouflaged with a very special shield that made him unrecognizable to everyone, alien or not. He also put this special shield over his son, pulled him up and so they were now facing each other. Invisible but connected by a train of thought. This made it possible for them to communicate with each other without being heard. It was a very special equipment, which was only meant for secret agents. You needed it for missions on earth or any other human base, or even in the own ranks of the IUCHIS it could be an advantage, ... like now.
Mori's father knew all these special tools only too well.
"James Moon OOR," they called him in his early years. As a member of the undercover unit, he often traveled to earthly habitats to relieve injustice and suffering, and at the same time tested the professor's inventions. No easy task, but Shinje wanted to change the world. It was also possible to perform small miracles and create heroes. Just think of Batman and Co, who rescued people from emergency situations, made natural disasters as mild as possible or snatched innocent prisoners from the clutches of their tormentors. This is also what happened to his wife, Mako. She was his last mission on the blue planet, because Kazmi could not and would not want to see the cruelty and misery of the people anymore.
The then 18-year-old environmental activist from Japan was arrested, imprisoned, maltreated and tortured by the security men of a factory. Shinji was stunned by the brutality with which they treated the young woman. He freed her and fell head over heels in love with his rescued victim. Since it was strictly forbidden to "abduct" humans, he had to defy all rules and laws of the aliens. This was not easy for him, because the then young alien always strictly followed the rules, except for this one time. He simply took Mako with him and handed her over to Professor Dr. Yamanak. The alien doctor worked in the secret laboratory of the special unit and helped the desperately in love man to save his conquest without knowing exactly whether it would work to turn a human into an alien.

They took care of the woman, who became, so to speak, a test object and only because the old friend of the Kazmi family was a specialist in this field, they actually managed to equip Mako with feelers and suction cups. It turned into a masterpiece. No one could tell the difference when the finally 20-year-old became an official member on the planet 10969 OOR.
"You are so much like your mother... much too much like your mother, Mori boy. I didn't want to admit it, but you have the heart of a human being just like her. The curly head stared into the void in front of him. It was only right for him not to be able to see his counterpart. Deeply moved by his father's confession, thick hot tears ran down his cheeks. He had always suspected it. Yes, he felt it, too. He was different and now he got the confirmation.
"She was... a human," the young alien stated in a trembling voice. "Where is Mum now? Why couldn't she come to me? ... I miss her so much, her words of consolation that always gave me the strength to carry on, ... the strength you took away from me." An uncomfortable silence arose. Mori didn't want to reproach his father, but now everything was so clear and plain in front of him. The rigor, often aggressive upbringing, was to turn the eldest son into an alien, an alien that he could never become. Too many of his mother's genes were in him, which sooner or later would get out of hand.
"I deeply regret the mistakes I made with you and your mother. For the rest of my life I will have to pay for them. I am so sorry... forgive me." Suddenly, Mori felt his father's hands on his shoulders. They pressed him gently and carefully lifted the frail man up.

"Listen to me Mori chan, I have torn my beloved wife from the earth, leaving a tiny hole. You will fill this gap again. Your place is not here. ... As much as it hurts me to send you away, it must be done. Mako wanted to change so many things, to do good and to make people aware of their terrible mistakes regarding the environment. But the people are unteachable, stubborn and selfish. It is terrible for me to realize that you belong there. The earth is being exploited and destroyed, habitats violently destroyed. I ask myself so often, why?"
"They do not have good managers like us," sniffed the son.
Shinji nodded, entering.
"Yes, you are right, if there are no laws that are obeyed, the system will collapse. Our planet is small, not comparable to Earth ..., it has a much larger number of inhabitants. ... Be careful and respect the things around you. Nothing is taken for granted, you hear. Never lose respect for life.
The son leaned his forehead against his father's chest and sobbed softly. What would it be like without a family, in a foreign country, no, on another planet? He had learned a lot about the earth, secretly learning the most important languages to find his way around. His future lay there, in the country where his mother had lived and tried to protect the environment. Mori also wanted to save a part of this planet. As an important building block for humanity, a link between different nations, he would conquer millions of hearts. He would make faces shine with joy and thus defeat the darkness.
Sometime it should be so far, then he could prove that he too was a son of the leader. His father would be proud of him. Certainly, because he wanted to fill this tiny gap with light, so much light that it overflows and displaces the darkness.
Kazmi took a deep breath. He wanted to be a good father from now on and so he put his own life on the line to support his family. The time had come to give up his leadership position. If only he could know his son was safe. That was his greatest concern.
Slowly, the commander's fingers slid over Mori's cheeks in his hair and skilfully removed the tight shackles on his feelers.
"You are about to be decapitated, everything will change, only love will remain. As a human being, everything seems so simple; even if they have no supernatural powers, they have other powers. Torio has conquered you, unmistakably." The antennas were set up and slowly you could see the intense color rising up to the very tips of the genius senses. "You shall shine once more, every fiber of your antennae shall blossom and shine, one last time ... Mori, ... be the light."
