Kiddie land was place you went to as a kid but now it's what Nick told everybody else "Now we can die there as adults".
Of course you were the only one alive,but you were pretty used to being lonely.Walking along the path you hear a creepy laugh or at least you assumed it was laughter.Scared,you turn around in every direction with your gun. "dammit Jockey..." You muttered is looking around,there weren't too many zombies since again you killed them and had to waste two life kits.You knew this was gonna be your death,no one was gonna save you.Already low of health as it is.You heard the laughter get closer,you turned around.
Nothing,until you felt something tug your pants gently.Alarmed,you turned back and looked down.There they were, Standing there.In fear you pointed your shotgun at them,and shot.You ended up missing as they dodged and jumped on your head, making you drop your gun.
You panicked,and you were about to scream,but the Jockey covered your mouth and hugged your head and started steering you.They lead you down the fun slides and into a small room.Eventually they ended up accidentally making you bump into one of the walls of the rooms and falling.
"Ow!Mother Fucker!" You yelled as you fell to the ground,the Jockey barely even on your head.They got up and pointed to a small table that was in the room,he ran towards it and grabbed what appeared to be a life pack.You slowly got up and stared,he began to patch up some of the injuries you had.
Confused as ever,you still sat there on the floor."Why are you helping me?" You asked them all they did was laugh."You can't talk can you?" Again,another laugh.You sighed "well thanks for the health and all,but I should get going-" You were about to get up until he got in front of you. "Uhh? What's wrong?" You asked the Jockey as they hugged you,making you feel nervous.

They must've noticed since they stopped and stared laughing, and tilted their head."sorry,i was a little uncomfortable.." more laughter again "all I have is a frying pan...I guess you made me drop me gun" You said a little annoyed,They then ran back to the table and jumped top of it.You got up and noticed an Ak-47 on the small wooden table."Oh.." You felt kinda dumb for a bit before you thanked them again and left,but they followed you.You smiled and allowed it,Maybe you weren't alone after all.

It's 2063, and the town along with much of the nation are in disarray. The decay started years before the Great Event. Our town still had hope thanks to the five families, who'd created a blockchain based water distribution system for the locals, a valuable secret hidden from the Global Water Commission and their network of mercenaries. Earlier in the mid-2040's, right after the state secessions of Idaho, Montana, and Texas, the Global Council of Water Commissioners made their deals and moved into towns throughout the country. They called it "the integration." The Commission and their contractors integrated with municipal water departments, using their organized network to invade like parasites on local services. It all coincided with the 29th Amendment to the United States Constitution, later referred to as the Regional Trident Plan. Nova is a story about survival, power structures, the turning of relationships, and the networking between people and the systems to which they belong. It’s about A.I. blockchain possibility, and its potential for human betterment versus our detriment. It’s about the question of whether or not we need to be saved from ourselves, and by who or what? The Great Event at the end of the first chapter might just be what actually saves us. The epilogue will take place in 2517. This scene is fully sketched and the full arc of the novel is set. I expect to finish Nova Interitus by summer of 2023. This is realist hard-sci-fi dystopian fiction. I hope you find Nova to be a challenging and consuming story. This is not something I planned to write. It all came to me in a dream and I haven't been able to stop writing it. Running and crawling on the ground through the forest floor, trying to get back to the camp grounds so Whhooossshhhh! All of a sudden a giant gust of wind flew past her nearly lifting her off the ground and throwing her into a tree. Where in the world did that wind come from? She thought, but she kept running like it had never happened. She jumped over a fallen log, ignoring the fact that she almost fell in the process. She zoomed past all the trees and sprinted over the roots coming out of the ground. She rounded another tree coming to a sudden halt at seeing him standing there with a drink in his hand laughing and joking. She stood there wondering how in the world he could have beaten her here; He looked at her then, He looked, well, handsome, his faced was clean shaven and his button up shirt was all unbuttoned minus the three at the bottom. She could still visibly see his bronze chest and the top of his ripped-hard abs. He walked over to her and smiled, showing all of his teeth, the smile reaching his eyes. His eyes were dark and stormy, their color was usually a nice honey brown but now his eyes looked mid-night black. They looked like they could kill a man at eighty paces, but could sweep a woman off her feet at the same time.
