《The Alpha is my Mate ✏️ (rewriting)》Chapter 2

A club.
We got in the car and she drove me to a club. This wasn't really what I expected, but then again, I don't really know what I expected.
"A club? Really?" I asked, not being able to look away from the building in front of me. The bright, red sign read Fantasy Island. People were already flooding through the doors.
"There are a million hot, single guys in a club." She said, grinning. "You have a high chance of finding your mate here." I roll my eyes and look out the window at all the people walking up. I highly doubt that I am going to find the person I am meant be with in a club filled with drunk people grinding against everyone. I don't even want to find my mate. But, I'm going to enjoy this and party like there is no tomorrow.
"I'm not even trying to find my mate. I'm just going to have a good time and celebrate." I say, opening the car door. I am looking incredibly sexy right now, and I'm not going to let this outfit and all this makeup go to waste.
"Wait!" She says, stopping me. I look at her and she fixes a stray piece of hair that wandered in front of my face. "Perfect." She grins. Mattie is holding her hands out in front of her body, admiring her masterpiece. I stare at her for a second, kinda nervous, before getting out of the car. Madison is fast to get out of the car, because a second later she already has her arm looped through mine. We walk towards the entrance and the guard puts his hand out to stop us.
"Madison." The guard smiles, looking at Madison then he looks at me. It seems like Mattie has been here a couple times, and Im shocked that she's never brought me here before now. It kinda takes me aback that she's on a first name basis with this gigantic, beefy guard.
"Gerard." Madison smiles back and starts a conversation, "How's Ellen?" Gerard let another group of 6 or so go in before answering.
"She's fine. Has her hands full with little Carla." His accent is thick as he speaks, and he shrugs as he lets a few more people go through.
"That's good. Hey do you think we can get in?" She asks, looking at the line next to us.
Gerard nods slowly and pulls the red rope back, letting us through. We walk through a small dark hallway and I turn to face Madison. "What was that back there? You know the bouncer?"

"Oh that was nothing." She smiles with a wave of her hand, "Gerard is a friend of the family.
Before I could reply, the foul, mixed stench of alcohol, vomit and sweat filled my senses. Mattie grabs my arm and we walk through dark, velvety drapes leading into the club. Madison takes in an exaggerated sniff and exhales, "Aww, home." I wonder how many times shes been here.
People are grinding all over each other, making out, going into hallways most likely leading to single rooms, and stumbling over each other. Madison drags me to the bar, waving down the bartender before we even got to the counter. Once the hot bartender made his way to us, Madison ordered us a couple drinks. He assembles the drinks and hands me a bright, neon blue drink. I feel confident enough and shoot him a wink which he smirks at.
"What's your name?" I ask the bartender. He's shaking a cocktail shaker and pours the contents into a glass.
"Leo. What's yours?" He asks, smiling. He slides the drink to a customer and starts grabbing more alcohol for another drink.
"Alison." I bring the straw up to my lips and take a sip of my drink. "Well Leo, do you want to dance with me?" I grin.
"I would, but I'm the only bartender here. Maybe when the next bartender comes in I'll come find you on the floor." He says, leaning on the counter. Even in this lighting I can see how gorgeous his eyes are.
"Okay, well can I your number?" We both are grinning at each other, and he proceeds to give me his phone number.
I take a sip of the drink and it stings the back of my throat. I take one more sip before slowly drinking it all. After setting the empty glass down on the counter, I make my way down to the dance floor. Madison sips the last bit of her drink and follows behind me with an excited expression on her face. We push through the dancing bodies and start moving to the music.
I feel someone tap my shoulder lightly making me to turn around to face a tall guy. He has short, shaggy brown hair up to his ears and hazel-green eyes, along with perfectly straight teeth. I have to admit he was really good looking. His eyes roam over my body slowly, staying a little long on my breasts, making me a little self conscious. Madison thankfully whisks me away from the guy as he opened his mouth to say something.

I spend my time dancing and chatting with most of the hot guys but like I expected, I've had no luck in finding my mate. As the night goes on I try a few more drinks and spend my time flirting with the bartender. I end up making my way through the club when I spot Madison making out with some stranger.
"Mattie." I yell, gaining her attention.
She walks away from the guy with no hesitation and wraps her arms around my shoulder. The guys licks his lips as he stares at Madison and I but ends up walking away to a group of drunk girls. They are bubbly and three of them end up wrapping their arms around his body.
"Did you find your mate?" She asks, slurring a little. I shake my head and her smile fades, looking disappointed. I'm not that disappointed, I've been having fun chatting with many guys tonight. I even convinced the hot bartender to give me his number.
"Well, the days still young! It's only like 1 o'clock." She says with a grin."Anyways, Evan wants to see you!" She winks.
"At one in the morning?" I ask a little surprised and feeling a blush creep up to my cheeks.
"Mhmm."
My heart speeds up at the thought of Evan wanting to see me. I've had a crush on him ever since we were in 5th grade. He was the one that stood up for me when people were making fun of me after Johnnie Pickens threw gum in my hair. Ever since then he's been my best friend.
We walk out of the club and get into the car. As the radio plays I decide to drift off into my thoughts. I started to think about Evan when he was in 5th grade. He had short hair that hung a little past his ears. He was nerdy and always wore Star Wars t-shirts and khaki shorts. He was a little shorter than everyone and really scrawny. And the saddest part was that he always got picked on by the "cooler" kids.
Then there's him now. Hot, sexy, smart and someone I'd love to have as a mate. To be honest, when we were younger I always hoped we would be meant for each other. I still do hope so. His dark brown hair hangs loosely past his ears. It's kind of spiked, making it look messy and hella sexy. He can totally make any girl drool- including me and Madison. I start thinking about all the times we would hang out on the playground, at the lake, chilling at each others house. He's always made me feel comfortable around him.
"Earth to Allie!" Mattie exclaims, snapping me out of my thoughts. Looking out the window, I see we pulled up to Evans pack house. Have I really been stuck in my thoughts for that long? The drive to his pack house is at least 15 minutes long. I slowly get out of the car, not ready. I'm dressed up and my makeup is done to perfection, but I still want to impress him. My assets are looking good, but will they be enough. Worried thoughts start to cross my brain. As we walk into the pack house, I notice the looks directed towards us from the rest of his pack mates. I hear a few cat calls from some of the males which causes me to roll my eyes. A pack house is kinda like a frat house, and some of them are filled with testosterone.
"Dogs." I mutter under my breath.
Mattie and I stop at his door and I start to panic. Even though I'm not looking for my mate, Evan is the only person that could make me want one. What if we're not mates? All those years of imagining us being together might be flushed down the drain. Even remembering last summer has my heart wrenching. That means he'll have some lucky girl waiting for him and I can't have him. The thought causes a twinge in my heart. I calm my thoughts and take a deep breath, slowly knocking on the door.
The door opens to reveal a happy looking Evan. I bite my lip and take in his appearance. He's wearing a half buttoned red shirt with ripped black skinny jeans. His hair is a hot mess and he has a sloppy grin on his face. His eyes rake over my body which causes me to blush a little. I'm feeling self conscious again. He slowly moves his gaze up until his eyes meet mine.
