I woke up to the sound of whimpering and the feel of someone tossing and turning next to me. I opened my eyes and saw that it was still dark outside, then I turned over to look at Draco and see if he was okay. He must be having another nightmare.
These nightmares have been becoming more of a regular occurrence as of recently as the Second Wizarding War gets closer and closer. No one knows when it's going to happen, we just know that it's going to happen soon. It could be tomorrow or it could be in a year. These worries and thoughts are what's been keeping Draco up at night, or what haunts him in his sleep.
"Draco", I spoke softly, nudging his shoulder gently to try and wake him up out of his nightmare.
He shot up in his bed, making me jump slightly, breathing heavily and looked around his surroundings. As soon as he landed his eyes on me he wrapped me in his arms so tightly it felt like he'd never let go. "Lilah, you're okay", he cried.
"It's okay Drac, it was just a nightmare", I soothed. I could feel his sweat against my skin as he hugged me but I didn't mind at all, as long as he was okay and felt safe.
"I had a- I dreamed that- I thought you-", he stuttered out, not being able to form sentences.
"It's okay Dray, I'm here, we're safe. It was only a bad dream", I tried to comfort him as I felt him trembling ever so slightly.
"But- but it felt so real, Lilah. I didn't know what was happening", he said, and I could feel a small tear drop on to my shoulder.
"Just breathe, it'll all be okay. You don't have to talk about it if you don't want to", I whispered as I helped him take some deep breaths.
He suddenly unwrapped his arms from around me and jumped off the bed so quickly and ran over to Indie's crib. "Oh, Indie", he said, his voice threatening to crack "I'm so glad you're okay".
He picked her up out of her crib gently enough to not wake her, and snuggled her into his chest, relieved that she was here. After a minute or so he placed a kiss on her forehead before slowly lowering her back into her crib and letting her rest.
Draco made his way back over to the bed and wrapped his arms around my waist, pulling me against his cold, firm chest. "I'm sorry", he whispered against my ear.
"What are you sorry for?" I asked.
"For waking you up and disturbing your sleep", he nuzzled his face into the crook of my neck.

"Don't ever be sorry for that Dray, I'm just glad to know you're alright."
"I like that", he said, out of the blue.
"Like what?" I asked as I turned my head a bit to look him in the eyes.
"Dray. I like when you call me that. I don't think I've ever been called that before, I've had Drac and-"
"And Drakie Poo", I interrupted, imitating Pansy's voice.
"Urgh", he huffed, "don't even get me started on Pansy."
"Does she really annoy you that much?" I asked to which I felt him nod slightly against me. "Why did you date her then?"
"I didn't date that pug face, I wasn't ever that desperate for a girlfriend", he huffed.
"Well why'd she go round telling every one you were a couple?"
"I don't even know, she's kind of obsessed with me and it's actually a little scary sometimes to be honest. She even has our wedding planned out", he admitted, and I could feel him cringe slightly.
"Well then why didn't you tell her then if you were that uncomfortable?"
"I did. Many times, but she just never took the hint or chose to ignore what I said", he spoke, and I could hear the irritation in his voice. "She probably still thinks we're dating now".
I chuckled before replying, "I'd love to see her reaction when she finds out you have a daughter with a Ravenclaw."
"She'll probably accuse me of cheating on her", he laughed.
I looked out the window again and saw that it was getting a bit light outside so I decided it was time to get up and get ready for the day.
"Where are you going?" he questioned as I got out of bed and started gathering my stuff for the bathroom.
"I'm having a shower", I said. "Wanna join?" I asked when I saw that he was disappointed about me leaving him.
And I'm not even kidding when I say I've never seen him get out of bed and run over to the bathroom so fast in my entire life.
After my lovely shower this morning, I got changed into my usual black suit and went downstairs for yet another Death Eater meeting.
The meeting started off as normal, with Voldemort complaining about yet another unsuccessful attempt at trying to kill and capture Harry Potter. This man'll never learn, I thought as he continued rambling on.
The Dark Lord was about halfway through explaining about how there were more than one Harry Potter when suddenly there was a loud bang and the large double doors leading out of the dining room opened up.
Yet another Death Eater that I didn't know the name of walked in, but he was holding two people by the arms and dragging them in. I couldn't see who they were though as both of their faces were covered up by black bags.

"You bring good news, I hope", spoke Voldemort, standing up from his chair.
"I hope so, my Lord. I wasn't able to located the Potter boy, but I was able to capture these two who were hiding away". He removed the black bags off of their heads and my breath caught in my throat as I saw who it was.
Because, standing before me, were Mary and Jenna Davis. Delilah's parents.
I didn't notice I was shaking slightly until I felt my mother grab hold of my hand from under the table, in an attempt to keep me steady. Mary and Jenna are her best friends and they have been since they went to Hogwarts together. When it used to be safe to come to the manor, they'd come around at least once a week for a catch up or afternoon tea or something like that.
Lilah had told me about there situation and how they were hiding out away from the Death Eaters. She said she hadn't seen them in over a year, and hasn't heard anything from them since Christmas. It absolutely breaks my heart to think of not hearing from my mother for that long, and not knowing whether she was alive or not, so I tried by best to comfort her as much as I could.
"Ah, the Davis', I've been waiting for your arrival. It's so wonderful of you to finally join us", said the Dark Lord.
When they didn't reply he continued on, "With one of the most powerful Pureblood Wizarding families becoming Death Eaters, we will be unstoppable."
No, I thought, he's going to make them Death Eaters! Delilah's going to be absolutely distraught.
"Come forth, you two, it's finally time for you to receive your marks", he signalled for them to come closer. But, when they didn't move, the Death Eater that caught them pushed them forward, making them stumble slightly before catching themselves.
"Perfect", he said as he creepily stroked both of their cheeks as if to inspect them. "Now, roll up your sleeve and raise your left arm, forearm facing upwards", he instructed.
Once they realised there was no way out of this and no way of stopping this, they reluctantly did as he told.
He placed the tip of his wand against Mary's forearm first and the tattoo started forming. Her face scrunch up in pain and I saw her suck in a breath as the snake and skull appeared on her arm.
I couldn't bare to watch as I remembered my experience. It was like pain I'd never felt before, as though someone was chopping off your arm. However, the worst thing was you couldn't scream or do anything because if you showed any major sign of pain then your fate would be worse than becoming a Death Eater.
I was brought back to reality when I felt my mother squeezing my hand to tell me that it was over. I looked back over the the once happy couple and saw them both staring down at their Dark Marks with an unreadable expression on their faces.
"We just need your two daughters and we'll have the whole Davis set", chuckled the Dark Lord.
"You promised that you'd keep our daughters out of it", Jenna snapped back, obviously worried for her children's safety.
"Yes, well I'm not known to keep my promises am I, Mrs Davis?" He then turned towards me, making my heart beat even faster in my chest. "And, if I am correct, she's in your year Draco, isn't she?" he asked.
"Yes, that is correct my Lord", I tried my best not to seem too nervous so that it didn't give it away that she was actually now my girlfriend and the mother of my daughter.
"Are you close with young Delilah?" he said. My heart was now beating so fast that I was surprised it wasn't bursting out of my chest already.
I knew there was no way I could tell him the truth, especially considering Jenna and Mary didn't even know I was the real father of their daughters child, so I replied with, "No, not really my Lord. I share one or two classes with her, but other than that I have no interactions with her".
"Ah, how disappointing. I was hoping you'd be able to help locate her for us, but I guess not."
He turned around, focussing his attentions somewhere else. With his back now facing me, I looked over towards my mother and she gave me a brief, nearly unnoticeable, nod to say I did the right thing.
"With that sorted out now, this meeting is over." He turned towards Mary and Jenna and said. "Davis', when you feel your beautiful mark burn, there is a meeting about to happen, so you must apparate here as quickly as possible. Do not be late or else you will be severely punished."
And with that said, he disapparated away to wherever he goes off to in his spare time when he's not planning more murders and kidnappings.
