《Dreamnotfound Fluff》3

"Dream." George spoke from behind Dream's back.
"Yeah?" Dream turned around from where he was sitting at his desk, editing his video to see George leaning on the doorframe, waiting.
"You know what day it is?" George continued, a smile tugging at the edge of his lips.
Damn, that's cute.
What?
Dream frowned. Was he forgetting something? "No....?" Dream responded, slowly.
"It's my birthday!" George beamed. "It's the first of November!"
Dream whipped around, checking the date on his monitor.
"Of course! I'm so sorry, I forgot! I didn't get you anything!" Dream stood up, looking around his room, running a hand through his hair. "I'm so sorry George!"
"Oh no, it's okay." George rushed to assure the blond haired boy. "It's okay. We never really talked about it anyways. And I didn't want anything for my birthday anyway."
"Are you sure? Isn't there anything I could do? I mean, it's your birthday." Dream asked, flustered at his mistake. George smiled even wider.
"Actually, there is." George whipped out a pair of tickets he'd been hiding behind his back, which had previously gone unnoticed by Dream, until now. Dream leaned in, peering at the wording on the tickets. Dream sat up, surprised.
"No way!"
"Yep! I've wanted to see that movie for so long, so I decided to save it for my birthday! The movie starts around 7ish, but it's only around 5:30, so we have time to go grab a meal at a restaurant!" George bubbled excitedly.
"Of course. Let me change real quick." Dream smiled.
George nodded happily and closed the door, leaving Dream to change on his own. Dream sat down, burying his head in his hands.
How could I've forgotten George's birthday? I'm such a bad friend. Idiot.
Dream stood up, taking a deep breath, and walked to his closet, scanning it for a good outfit. Dream eventually settled on a simple, comfortable hoodie and a pair of sweatpants. He slid the outfit on, running a hand through his hair, slightly anxious at his appearance.
Chill out. It's not a date.
Dream chuckled at himself, turning away from the mirror.
I wish it -- no.
He pushed the door open, surprised to see George standing right outside the door.
"Oh! Hey!" George laughed, turning away from Dream, leading him to the front door. Dream followed, getting even more excited himself. George pushed open the front door and turned around to see if Dream was still following. George's eyes were sparkling, and he beckoned Dream over into the car. "Come on! There's this new sushi place I want to go to."
Dream perked up a little. Sushi? That would be something Dream would enjoy immensely, and judging by George's expression, so would George. Dream smiled at the childlike expression of joy on George's face, and climbed into the car, next to George. Dream laughed, watching George's excited bouncing.
"Calm down. This sushi place isn't going anywhere." Dream spoke to George, amused. George ignored it, continuing to bounce in his seat like a little kid. Dream shook his head, sticking a hand out of the window, feeling the cool evening air rush through his fingers. Too cool. Dream retracted his fingers from the cold air, rubbing his hands together.

George pulled over at a small, cozy sushi shop around five minutes later. Dream and George both stepped out of the car, gazing at the shop.
"This looks like a date, George." Dream spoke, wheezing slightly. George slapped Dream playfully, and they both started laughing, breath crystalizing in the cold night air. "Let's go inside. It's cold, I'ma freeze out here."
Dream lead George into the small shop, setting the doorbell tinkling pleasantly. The plump woman at the counter gave them both seats and took their orders. Dream and George talked amiably, chatting about nothing in particular, until their orders came up.
"Woah! That looks so delicious!" Exclaimed George, clapping his hands together. Dream picked up his chopsticks, clumsily snatching up a piece from George's plate and dropping it in his mouth. George retaliated, snatching up a piece of Dream's sushi and chewing it, smirking at Dream. Dream rolled his eyes and looked back at his plate, feeling a slight blush creeping up his cheeks. He delicately picked up, and promptly dropped it, completely unused to chopsticks. George laughed, then dropped his own. Dream laughed in turn, developing into a long wheeze. Initially, George looked extremely embarrassed, but quickly joined in, unable to resist Dream's contagious laugh.
"Oh shut up." George finally choked out after laughing for around two minutes straight. Dream shook his head, looking back down at his plate, and quickly finished it, wiping his mouth with a napkin. Dream looked up and watched George clumsily pick up the sushi, messily finishing his meal. Dream shook his head in mock disapproval, extracting an eye roll from the shorter boy. They talked casually, wasting the time away until around twenty minutes before the movie started. George lead Dream back to the car, and they drove in silence, George once again bouncing like a five year old. "I can't believe you haven't seen it yet. It came out like, five years ago." Dream reprimanded George.
"Oh come on. I don't really watch lots of movies, but everyone said it was really good, so I thought I would give it a try." George chirped. "I don't know, we'll see then." Dream and George both climbed out of the car, George rushing into the warm theater with Dream close behind.
"I'll get the popcorn since you bought the tickets." Dream smiled. "Sure, here, use my money." George pushed a ten dollar bill towards Dream. "No, I couldn't. It's your birthday!" Dream tried to decline, but George insisted. Dream reluctantly took the money, feeling a crackle of energy when their fingers touched.
"What's made you so generous today?" Dream asked. George shrugged, not looking at Dream.
"I dunno, go get the popcorn. The movie is starting in," George looked down at his watch. "around five minutes."
Dream smirked slightly, turning away and getting in line for the popcorn. After purchasing the popcorn, Dream wandered around the building, looking for George, until George jumped him from behind.
"Surprise!" Dream jumped up, almost spilling the popcorn. "George!" Dream opened his mouth to tell off George, but ended up laughing. "Idiot."
"Let's go, it's starting in a minute." George turned around, Dream trailing behind into the dark theater. George lead Dream up into a seat in the middle of the row. The movie started playing as they were edging along the row into their seats, with George and Dream awkwardly turning their heads to try to watch. As Dream and George settled down into the seats, Dream felt an odd warmth in his chest. George immediately dug into their store of popcorn, eyes fixed on the screen.

"Why are you still eating George? We just had dinner." Dream whispered to George.
"Shut up." George whispered in Dream's ear. Dream twitched slightly, shivering at George's warm breath in his ear. Dream shook it off, rolling his eyes in the darkness.
It was quite the sad movie. Every time something would happen, George would cuddle closer to Dream, seeking his warmth. Dream found it adorable, but he couldn't help to be quite self conscious of the shrinking distance between him and George. Dream kept his eyes on the screen, determined not to look at George. As the movie progressed, George ended up literally leaning up against Dream, legs curled up and arms wrapped around his knees, hugging himself into a small ball against Dream's body. Dream was quite aware of George's head leaning up against his shoulder, both of the boys intently watching the screen. The movie continued, some of the more tragic scenes drawing a watery eye here and there, but it was nothing compared to the last scene.
Dream could feel George silently crying along with the entire theater, shaking slightly against Dream's body. Dream swung a comforting arm around George's back, surprised when George clung on to it like a life line, hugging it closely. Dream could feel George's tears soaking silently into Dream's hoodie sleeve, and Dream felt slightly bad for the smaller boy. He looked over at George, the tears silently streaming down the brown haired boy's face. Dream patted George's hair comfortingly, dropping his hand down to gently rub the tears away. Dream traced a gentle finger down his cheek, ending at George's chin, tilting it up slightly. George met Dream's eyes, giving his undivided attention to the dirty-blonde haired boy. They kept eye contact for a few seconds, Dream feeling a slight tugging to do something, but Dream broke away, turning back to the movie. George silently slipped his hand over Dream's, lying his arm on the armrest and squeezing Dream's hand gently. Dream squeezed back, blushing slightly, but trying to keep his attention on the movie displayed on the large screen in front of them.
"That was a good movie." George spoke as the ending credits ran. Dream turned to George, smiling slightly. He winked, sending a wordless message to the older boy.
Later..
It was a promise. But first, the two inched their way out of the rows and down the aisles, blinking their eyes at the bright light after sitting in the dark theater for a long time. Dream screwed his eyes up, taking a moment to adjust to the bright light. George took Dream by the hand, restored to his original childlike excitement, dragging Dream back to the car. They hopped on, talking only occasionally about the movie, both just waiting for the moment when they would be back at Dream's apartment.
"Come on, we're home. I mean, at your house." George corrected himself.
"No, you can call it home. I like when you call it home." Dream smiled, cupping George's cheek gently, tracing his thumb over his slightly flushed cheeks. George breathed out, his breath crystalizing in the cold night air. "Come on, let's head inside." Dream turned away, leading George into the cozy apartment.
Once the door was closed behind them, Dream turned to the shorter boy, smiling, glad for the privacy of his own home. He stepped closer, gazing deeply into George's gaze, trying to read his expression. Dream reached out and clutched George's arm, lifting George's arm up and gently kissing it on the wrist. Dream rubbed circles with his thumb, watching George flush slightly with pleasure. Dream released George's arm, tracing his index finger down his palm before letting go, and moving his arm up to George's face, gently tilting his face up and bending down to lightly kiss George on the lips, fingers ghosting across his skin, tender and sweet. George shivered slightly at Dream's touch, closing his eyes, and kissing Dream back, reaching up and running his hands through Dream's soft hair. Dream dropped his hands to wrap his hands around George's body, relishing the warmth radiating from the brown haired boy, grateful that George was here, with Dream.
Dream opened his eyes and pulled back, taking George by the hand and leading him into the bedroom, pulling George down, cushioning the older boy's fall with his body. The Brit let out a little oomph on impact, and Dream laughed slightly, watching George's slightly flustered face. Dream pulled George down for another soft kiss, this time tracing circles on George's cheeks.
"I love you." Dream purred into George's mouth, which drew a smile out of the smaller boy. George opened his eyes, staring at the soft green gaze of the boy lying next to him. They stayed like that for a few minutes, the soft green staring into the doe brown under the cover of the darkness. George's eyes fluttered shut, and Dream laughed softly to himself, not having realized how tired George was.
"Sleep well." Dream cooed to the nearly asleep boy, who instinctively curled up, back pressed into Dream's chest, knees curled up into a ball, and Dream automatically hugged George tightly, wrapping his arms around the dark haired boy. George snuggled into Dream's position, feeling secure, and quickly fell asleep, soft snores filling the silence of the dark. Dream watched silently, then, wordlessly, quietly, pressed a soft kiss onto George's forehead, and closed his eyes as well, comforted by the presence of the young Brit beside him.
A/N: Is this better? I know this is still pretty crap but eh. Ideas in the comments maybe? I'll take request as well. Ok bi.
