《Dreamnotfound Fluff》9

George slouched on the kitchen table, waiting patiently for Dream to emerge from his room. They'd arranged yesterday to go on a spontaneous date, and it had already been 20 minutes. He finally stood up with a sigh, and poked his head into Dream's bedroom.
"Oh Dream~" George's eyes landed on Dream. "Oh." He giggled slightly at Dream's sleeping form. He was curled up in a slight ball, and his head was gently resting on his folded arms. Dream's chest was slowly rising and falling, and George stepped towards the sleeping boy.
"Oh Dreammmmmm. Wake up Dream! It's already past 7! Come on, wake up!" George gently shook Dream on his shoulder, watching as Dream lazily stirred.
"Hello George..." Dream mumbled sleepily, face still buried in his arms.
"Dream, wake up! Wake up!" Dream sat up slowly, eyes still half shut.
"Wake up!" George pressed a kiss onto Dream's forehead, which made Dream smile lazily.
Suddenly, Dream flashed and hand out and pulled George down with an oomph from the older boy.
"Good evening, George." Dream drawled into George's ear, giving George a kiss on his cheek.
"Dream! You scared me!" George protested, detangling himself from Dream's grip. "It's past 7! Come on, what about that date?"
Dream chuckled good naturedly. "All in good time, George. I'm tired right now. Here, give me another kiss."
George blushed. "No. Not until you get up."
Dream pulled a face and pouted, "No, I'm not getting up until you give me a kiss, Georgie."
George blushed an even darker shade of red. "Dream! You have to earn your kisses." He wagged a finger in Dream's face. Dream snatched George's hand and gently pressed it to his lips.
"Give me a kiss now?" Dream asked, smirking at the shade of red George was turning.

"Fine." George leaned forward and aimed for Dream's forehead, but Dream leaned back and caught the kiss on lips. George felt a slight shiver run through his spine.
"There, you happy?" George finally broke away, giving Dream a look.
"Fine. What should I wear?" Dream scanned his closet from his seat, trying to find a suitable outfit for the date.
George marched over to the closet himself and snatched a random pair of pants and a hoodie out, tossing them across the room to Dream. "There. It doesn't matter. I'm just waiting for you." Dream, unhesitating, immediately stripped off his hoodie and pants to change.
"Woah, Dream, I didn't know you wanted THAT fast." George giggled, gaze slipping down to Dream's body involuntarily. Dream laughed, striking a pose.
"Like what you see?"
"Stop, Dream, just change." George turned away and pretended to busy himself with looking through Dream's belongings, and only turned around when Dream announced he was done.
"Alright, let's go." George held out a hand to Dream, who gladly took it.
They both stepped outside. The air was humid and muggy, but it was still chilly.
"Where are we going?" George asked, giving Dream's hand a subsequent squeeze.
"I don't know. Actually, no. Do you want to go to the beach?"
George turned his head back to Dream. "Sure! That sounds great!"
Dream smiled, and pulled ahead, directing George towards the beach. The sky darkened, and George looked up, slightly concerned.
"Dream... you don't think it'll rain?"
"Um... I think it will."
As if on cue, a drop fell from the sky, landing on George's forehead. Dream reached over with his other hand and gently wiped it away. Another drop fell, and then another. And then it started raining.

"Uh, Dream, I think we should go back." Without waiting for an answer, George started tugging on Dream's hand, leading him back to the apartment.
"No, George! The rain feels so good! Stand still, feel the rain, and listen." Dream stood rooted in place, eyes closed, face tilted towards the sky.
"Dream! I'm getting wet!" George protested, still tugging on Dream, but the blonde haired boy wouldn't budge.
Dream pulled George back towards him, once again causing George to fall onto his chest with an oomph. He wrapped his hands around George, swaying slightly in the downpour.
"It sounds so peaceful." Dream breathed in George's ear. "Don't you like it?"
George shivered slightly, but felt warmer in Dream's arms. He quieted, obeying Dream and listening to the rain.
"It does sound pretty nice." George admitted, his face still buried in Dream's chest.
Dream responded by stroking George's hair — or rather, slicking back George's already sopping hair. George closed his eyes, breathing in Dream's sweet scent that was wafting around his body. After a few minutes of standing in the cool rain, Dream pulled away.
"Can we go home now?" George asked.
"Sure, let's go."
The taller blonde boy reached back for George's hand, the two walked in peace, breathing in sync as the rain beat down around them. After a few minutes of walking, the pair reached the apartment, and Dream pushed the door open.
"The rain wasn't so bad, wasn't it?" Dream turned back, smiling at George.
George leaned into Dream's chest, breathing in Dream's sweet scent. "Yeah." He finally whispered back.

Adventurer Book II - Dawn of an Empire Short story prequel- The Lurking Lair: An Adventuer Series Short Story Summary for the LitRPG savvy reader: Looking for a LitRPG that is more tabletop traditional role playing game and less MMORPG? This is probably your cup of tea. Long term progression with a heavy slice of life element. Strong mix and inclusion of ancient Greek life, values, and myths. Hence, the world can be a bit more harsh and brutish than modern sensibilities. The system is tangible and knowable beyond the MC's insights. The MC is more of an everyman than someone specifically chosen for the experience. Author's Note: This is my debut novel. Up until this point, the only thing I have written of comparable length has been non-fiction and related to history. I am immensely grateful to all the folks who have given me feedback and helped me improve my writing.
