Ryan's P.O.V
I slammed my wolf body into the door, breaking it down and shattering it.
The sight before me horrified me.
The 2 warriors I had sent to protect my mate now lay dead, their throats cut.
I searched for my mate, not finding him.
I snarled angrily.
Goddamn it!
I shifted back and crouched next to my dead warriors.
My wolf wept as I closed their eyes.
"May the Moon Goddess take you in with open arms.", I whispered.
Throwing on some clothes, I walked out and to the cellar.
I knocked three times and the door opened, revealing a smiling Edith.
My angry eyes must've wiped the smile off of her face as everyone climbed out of the cellar and stood in the basement.
The pack was silent as everyone waited for me to say something.
My jaw and fist were clenched as I stared off to the side and at the ground.
"What's wrong Alpha?", Edith asked.
I inhaled deeply through my nose and released a shaky breath.
I looked Edith in her eyes.
"My mate, your future Luna, was taken by Omega Dylan Tinn.", I said.
Some wolves gasped while others growled, the need to protect their future Luna overpowering them.
"I want my best trackers and warriors out looking for him. Now!", I ordered.
Some people jumped at the harshness of my voice before they left.
"I'll be in my office. The rest of you resume training."
I turned and stomped up the stairs and to my office.
"I'm sorry.", Selene whispered.
I whirled around. "Did you know?", I asked.
Selene shook her head. "I did not know. Something in the fates has changed now that you found your mate. You weren't supposed to meet him yesterday.

You were supposed to meet your mate 3 years from today. He would've came in the form of a Gamma, not an Omega. Another pack would've destroyed the pack you gained and they would've taken him in, trained him, and he would best the current Gamma in a fight.", she said.
"Why did I meet him yesterday then?", I questioned, blinking back tears.
Selene sighed. "You met him because his scent masker wore off yesterday as he searched for your scent. He smelt his mate and followed it but that led him to his Alpha. That is why he was supposed to stay in the room."
My eyes were downcast as a tear fell and hit the hardwood floor.
Warm arms engulfed me and I hugged Selene back.
"What happens now?", I asked, my voice muffled.
Selene sighed again. "The future is now blurry. I have no idea what happens now." She pulled back from me and held me by my shoulders. "It is up in the air at the moment. Colton must fight before it's too late, and I'm going to tell you know, when Dylan kidnapped him, he fought hard.
If you don't believe me, go look in your bathroom.", she said before disappearing.
I took off to the bathroom, stepping over the dead bodies and making a note of giving them a proper burial.
There, in the bathroom, there was shattered glass everywhere, some of it covered in blood.
I picked up a bloody piece of mirror and sniffed the blood.
It was Dylan's scent.
I looked around some more and noticed blood on the side of the bathtub and the porcelain toilet lid was shattered.
Colton fought hard.
Tooth and nail.
Sadness enveloped me.
I just got him. I've waited awhile for him and I lost him so quickly.

I clenched my hand, forgetting that I still held a piece of the mirror.
I'm going to get you back Colton.
...
"Omega Dylan's scent just disappears, Alpha.", Everett informed me.
I growled, frustrated now.
"Keep looking.", I said.
Everett left and I stood up from my chair and walked over to the map we had hung up.
There were x's all over the map. Those were places that were checked and cleared.
It's been a few days and we've been working hard.
Giving up, I dialed John's number.
"Hey Ryan.", John answered.
"I need some help John. But you can't tell anybody else.", I said, my voice thick with tears.
"What's wrong Ryan?"
"Omega Dylan has taken my mate and we have no idea where they are. I've sent out trackers but their trail just ends in the middle of nowhere. I don't know what to do!", I cried out.
John sighed. "I'll help. Some of my pack and I will be over in a couple of hours. See you soon."
"Thank you John."
"You're like my best friend Ryan. I'm willing to help."
There was a click.
Then silence.
The silence was deafening and I had been living in it ever since Colton was taken from me.
I had few interactions with my pack, only really talking to Everett to get updates.
Selene, please let my mate be okay.
