《Field Trip to the Avenger's Compound》Lunch

Your class just left Bruce's lab. Flash was still furious from the interaction. The whole elevator was in shock from Bruce revealing that you and Peter had such high IQs.
Everyone was silent until FRIDAY said, "Arriving in the cafeteria. Have a nice lunch."
A few thanks yous could be heard from everyone. Peter motioned for you to go but you quipped,
"Ladies first." He just rolled his eyes and you smirked.
"That's not very nice to poke fun at your classmate," Mr. Harrington scolded you.
"Sorry," you replied quietly. He had no idea the depths of your and Peter's friendship. Friendship. You frowned a little at the thought of just being friends.
"Hey, you alright?" Ned noticed the sad look on your face.
"Yeah. But I just realized I left my lunch on the counter in the kitchen," you sighed.
"Hey I forgot mine too," Peter overheard and laughed causing you to chuckle too.
"For two superheroes you really suck at remembering things," Ned snickered.
The three of you laughed and you all walked to an open table. You and Peter sat next to each other and Ned and MJ sat together. They were eating their lunches and you both just sat there occasionally adding to the conversation. You were mid-sentence when you heard a too familiar voice.
"Why do you two always forget everything?" Loki asked from behind you.
You both turned around and saw him standing there with your lunches. Everyone around you was in awe that the God of Mischief was talking to the "loser table".
"Are these the Ned and MJ I hear you two talking about all the time?" Loki questioned.
"You've told him about us?" Ned said excitedly.
"Yes, you both have come up in a couple of conversations," you said taking your lunch from Loki's hands. You and Loki had a brother-sister-type relationship. Your friendship started when you first met.
Flashback
You were sitting on the couch in the common room reading Northanger Abbey when you heard someone enter the room. Even though you had only been in the tower for 2 weeks, you had memorized everyone's walking pattern. Being a now ex-assassin you learned some tricks of the trade, but you didn't recognize this person. You could easily read his mind and find out who he was, but you wanted to make the day interesting.

"Hello?" you called out.
"So. You are the Captain's daughter?" the figure asked.
"Yeah what of it?"
"Do you not know who I am?" he questioned. You had now realized it was a man from the voice and realizing he was walking heavier than a woman would.
"Should I?" you asked never putting your book down.
You guessed the guy was around 6'2" and 170 pounds. Knowing you could take him if he was a threat, but your powers let you know he wasn't. The mysterious man came into the light and glared at you.
Finally, putting your book down you said, "Aren't you that guy who tried taking over New York? I heard some bits and pieces about you when I was in Russia."
"Why aren't you afraid of me?" You looked at him for a moment before laughing and saying,
"Seriously? I've dealt with worse things than you, pal. But I have heard you have a temper. What would you say your anger level is right now on a scale from 1-10?"
He shot you a puzzled look before saying, "I don't know. Maybe a 2?"
"Cool. Let me know if it gets above a 5."
He was still a little confused about what you just said, but he shrugged it off.
"You don't strike me as a professional assassin," he quipped.
You looked him dead in the eye and said, "That's what makes me so good at it."
He sat down on a chair across from you and you just opened your book again and kept reading.
"Why are you doing that?" he asked.
"Doing what? Reading?" you said confused.
"No. Treating me like a person."
You stopped reading your book and stared at the confused man in front of you with a raised eyebrow.
"Would you rather I treat you like a corpse?"
He stood up, walked over to you, stuck his hand out to shake, and said
"My name is Loki. I think we'll be good friends."

You smirked and shook his hand saying, "(Y/n)"
And thus forth the two of you were stuck together like glue.
I took my lunch from Loki and said, "Did you choose to bring the lunches to us, or did someone force you to?"
"I felt like being nice, so I brought them under my own will," he responded.
"That would be a first. You being nice. Who knew?" (Y/n) joked.
Loki rolled his eyes. We all started talking and I introduced Ned and MJ to Loki. He took a liking to MJ because of how sarcastic she was and he liked the answer she gave to one of his questions.
He asked her, "Don't you know who I am?"
"Yup. I just don't care," she responded in her normal tone.
He always asked that question to people to gauge how joking he could be in a conversation. When he heard her answer he knew he could be his trickster self with them. We were all having a nice conversation, ignoring all the stares, when Flash said something he shouldn't have.
"Alright, losers how much did you pay him to talk to you? Oh, that's right you don't have any money to pay him," Flash yelled at us.
"How do we keep getting in these situations?" you asked Peter.
"6 years of friendship and I still don't know," he responded.
"I'm sorry, but who is that?" Loki asked quietly.
"That's Flash. He's a pain in the ass," you gritted through your teeth. Loki nodded and ignored him.
"Hey Parker! I'm talking to you and your loser friends. Why is he talking to you guys?" Flash scoffed.
"I could easily stab him," Loki said drawing a dagger from his boot.
"Okay. First off no. And secondly, why did you bring a knife with you to bring us lunch?" you asked him.
"First off it's a dagger, actually. Secondly, I'm always prepared," he spoke.
You rolled your eyes and heard Flash say, "Helloooo? Parker answer me."
He started walking over to Peter about to throw a punch but Loki said, "Sorry to interrupt, but do you know who I am?"
You watched as he towered over Flash.
"Umm.....uhh....yes...sorry," Flash sputtered.
Loki smirked and simply stated, "Leave us and especially Peter and (Y/n) alone."
Flash nodded and scurried away. "I'm at about a 12 right now," Loki said to you when he sat down. You nodded and used your powers to put happy thoughts in his head, making sure no one saw you using powers. Ned watched in awe as you used magic to calm Loki down. He'd never seen you use the magic before, so he was utterly shocked.
"Wh--what just happened?" Ned gawked still in shock. "I have similar powers to Wanda, so I can put happy pictures into people's heads to calm, or in some cases, anger them," you explained. He nodded.
I listened to (Y/n) explaining her powers to Ned. He was so amazed by her powers. I remember when I first found out about them it was the craziest thing I'd ever heard.
"Remember you guys can't talk about it to anyone," she said.
"What if I tell someone?" Loki asked sarcastically.
"I'll have to kill you," she retorted back. They always acted like brother and sister. Ned and even MJ were a little surprised by her comment.
"It was a joke! I'm not gonna kill him," (Y/n) explained.
"Alright, everyone. Let's go ahead and clean up your tables. We will be heading to a training room to look around. The Avengers probably won't be there since they have a private training room," Katherine confirmed.
"Don't. You. Dare. Loki." (Y/n) gritted.
Loki smirked and said, "Toodles" He then teleported to who knows where.
"You know. I never thought I'd hear Loki say toodles," I say in (Y/n)'s direction.
She laughed and started to throw away her trash.
"Come on everyone! Let's head to the training room!" Katherine yelled gaining everyone's attention. And off to more embarrassment, we went.

Condemned
“The human body is a fragile thing. But the soul... The soul is malleable. Easily tainted. All it takes is one drop of blood to dye it all red.” Long ago, in a time remembered only by a few, the seven lords of Syvernia, led by the Great Hero Ludwig, ended the Great Calamity that plagued humanity for as long as time itself. It was the dawn of a new age of man. . . until the thirst for more poisoned the new lords. Slowly, the thread that held humanity together loosened and a thick haze consumed the lands between. Mysterious vanishings, supernatural forces, and silence warns of a looming threat inside the coat of fog. Though the struggle of the realms did not interest Leor, for he was condemned as a Purblight, until he took a seemingly simple job: escort Alden to Lightendale and collect the handsome reward, a reward that would let him live the rest of his life with ease. But it’s never that simple, especially for someone who denounced the Gods. All his life, death followed Leor everywhere he went, cutting down his friends and family. When his first love died at the hands of an agent of light, he was prepared to throw everything away until a mysterious voice promised him a chance for retribution and a chance to bring her back by completing the seven trials. Thrown into the realm's struggle against the approaching haze and themselves, will Leor, a Purblight and an acquaintance of tragedy, use the very power he disdains to accomplish his goals? This is the rewrite of my novel: Condemned; I changed it to past tense and added/ took out some ideas from the original. This is essentially the first draft since I'm writing as I go. Also, there might be or might not be Gore, Sexual, or Traumatizing content. I only put it there for a disclaimer in case I want to add it. I have no set release schedule yet, but I'll try to post once every 2 week. Thanks for your patience.
