POV Cammie

I could feel the tension when Kara and Shannon met each other. Even if Kara isn't the jealous type, I saw the way she looked at Shannon and then at me, saying with her eyes "hey, this is my girlfriend, she is mine, back off". Not that she has something to worry about, I'm in love with Kara, no doubt about it. I still can understand her jealousy: Shannon was a big part of my life, my first love. But now we both moved on, having a stable relationship with another girl. So what's the big deal?

Kara grabs my hand when we walk to the car. Ally and her girlfriend are with us. Them seem really happy. Ally is one of my best friend so I'm genuinely happy for her. Lot of happiness in this car. When I drive, Kara and I start talking.

- Happy to be here? I ask

- Of course, in a beautiful country with a beautiful girl, what more can I ask?

- Too sad you can't stay for 2 weeks

- I know, my boss wouldn't let go, I had to beg just to have one week.

- I know. It is too bad

- You will have time to catch up with Shannon when I'll be far ...

- You know you have nothing to be worried about right?

- I know, just it was weird to meet her. And I don't like the way she looks at you.

- I like when you're being jealous. And how do you think she looks at me?

- With sparks in her eyes...

- You know that she has a girlfriend right?

- Kara

- Yeah I know but still I don't feel comfortable with her. She saw you naked.

I can't help but laugh. Kara ends laughing too.

POV Shannon

I'm in the car with no one else than Rose and Rosie. A nice ride in perspective! For sure we have the best car. I can't help but smile, when I notice the gaze of Rose on me. I don't like this look. Like a shy kid, I ask her if I did anything wrong.

- Where is your girlfriend Shannon?

- She couldn't come, she had something unexpected at work so couldn't manage to free herself.

- Bullshit. You know that I know you so what is going on?

Woo, she looks like an angry protective mom right now. I don't know if I'm terrified or just want to go in her arms to find comfort.

- I don't really want to talk about it. Not now.

Rose and Rosie share an intense gaze. I think they try to communicate without speaking. I can't help but smile. They are cute. They are the best couple on earth. I love them so much. The rest of the way to our rent is spending in silence, just listening to music. I start to think about last night.

- Shannon, would you be my wife?

I know this is time to answer. I am still so uncertain. I don't know what to say. I take her hand in mine and kiss her softly.

- Fletch, you make me happy every day since I met you. You healed my broken heart, helped me to become a better person. There is no way I could ever thank you an off for what you did...

- Here we are!

Rosie seems exhausted. Poor thing, we let her drive all the way. I look outside. It is around midnight. The moon is beautiful and its light is reflected on the sea. This accommodation looks amazing. Rose made us the surprise of renting an amazing villa just two steps from the sea. I can't wait to see inside. Cammie is next to me. I don't even need to look, after all this years she still have the same perfume. It is the one I offered her at our first Valentine's day together. Feel like a century ago.
