Henry, Rylee, Mom, and I arrived at Ms. Stanley's grave. Henry, using a flashlight, saw Gem sleeping in the tree. Yes, sleeping in the tree. I know it's a bit weird, but she's asleep.

Henry climbs up and carries Gem down. Mom felt her forehead. She was so scared that she didn't have time to be mad. I mean, she was really freaking out.

"She is freezing," she squealed. When we got in the car, Mom held her very close as Rylee drove us home. I can't stop looking at Mom. She was really scared.

When we return home, I headed for the door. Mom carried Gem to her bed. "Mom, she'll be fine."

"We don't know yet."

I went to bed. At the same time, I was hoping that Gem didn't get a cold. The look on Mom's face gave me the same feeling: fear.

Once Mom laid her down, she stroked Gem's bangs. She smiled at her. Mom got up to leave her alone.
