Zacky's POV (It's most likely going to be in different POVs for a bit now. :P)
Brian called and asked me to go with him to the bar. He seemed a bit timid on the phone, so I had to oblige. Plus, I could never turn down a few drinks. I told him to meet me at my place in ten and after a half hour of him still not showing up, I started to get worried. I called and called him, but he just wouldn't pick up. I decided to drive to his place to see if he's still there maybe taking a shower, but when I pulled up to his house, his car was gone. Right now, I'm just sitting in my car parked on the side of the road trying to figure out where the fuck he could be. As I'm sitting here, three police cruisers and an ambulance speed by me. The worst feeling washes over me and I can't help but to start my car and follow them. Something tells me I need to. As I reach the seen, my heart drops and tears instantly begin pouring from my eyes. Brian's car is completely totaled and there's a pick up truck nearby with a lot of damage to the front of his truck. I get out of my car and run over to the scene, only to be stopped by a couple of cops.
“I'm sorry sir, but you can't come any closer.”
“That's my best friend and band mate being loaded onto that ambulance! What happened?!”
“A few witnesses and the truck driver said your buddy went through the red light. The truck driver admitted to driving over the speed limit. He ended up t-boning the driver's side of the car.”
“Is he going to be alright?!”

“We don't know yet. The paramedics are bringing him to the hospital right now. You're welcome to follow and wait in the waiting room to hear something from the doctors.”
I nod and thank them before rushing back to my car. Before I head to the hospital I ring Jimmy.
“What is it?” He asks.
“Brian! He got into a car accident!”
“What?! You're not serious!”
“I am! We were supposed to go to the bar for a few drinks and after a half hour of him not showing up or answering his phone, I decide to drive to his house. He wasn't there and then I saw a bunch of squad cars and an ambulance speeding down his street. I followed them to the scene and Brian had run a red light and got t-boned. His car was completely totaled so he has severe injuries. You need to meet me at the hospital.”
“Fuck! I'll be right there!”
He hangs up, so I hang up and send a quick text to Matt and Johnny to tell them to meet us at the hospital and that I'll explain everything once they get there. I quickly start my car and drive to the hospital as quick as I can. I hope and pray the entire drive that Brian will be alright and that he'll make it. Us guys can't afford to lose him and I know Becca will be a wreck as well because they've gotten so close. They're practically best friends. We can't afford to lose him because we need him for this band. We'll have to cancel all tours and break the news to the fans and we can't just ruin their days like that. They would be devastated. Good thoughts, Zacky. Think good thoughts. Everything will be okay. At least I hope they will be.

The Kingdom of Malinas (YA Fantasy)
Fifteen-year-old Sorrel returns to her home to find it burned and most of her people taken as slaves by Corrinus, the new ruler of Malinas. She's devastated to find her mother is amongst them and swears to rescue her. But her older brother Leif sends her to seek an army, while he remains with the survivors, teaching them to fight. It hurts that everyone says she's too small and too weak to fight, because she wants so much to be like her dead father - a great warrior - but she does as she's told. She travels across country with her seer friend and faces many dangers – from mysterious grey wraiths to the crazed follower of Corrinus. She set out to find an army but instead, she returns with a dragon. ** This was one of the very first novels I ever wrote. I wrote this when I was 16/17 (which was many years ago now!) on a really old PC I called Phylis. I remember having to print it out on an old ribbon printer to submit it to publishers - this was back before esubs were the norm! It never got picked up and I ended up self publishing it. I hope you enjoy.

The Gambit
The kingdoms have rarely experienced peace, with kings and rulers warring against each other on any percieved slight. With explorers riding the waves to find new lands and merchants eager to set up trade routes while profiting as much as possible. Would the status quo still hold up? The veil is already weakining as more magic and horrors seep through the gap. How would the world deal with the sudden increase in the limited resource of magic? With the times changing, barren lands become trade hubs and the power shifts. The system holding it all together, is in a fragile balance, would a single death break the balance and cause the most devastating war the people have experienced. The direction of the story : The story will not contain any main protagonist, rather multiple protagonists and antagonists with the protagonists having bad some character traits and the antagonists some good ones. I plan to make a story of flawed humans, so if you are looking for OP MCs you would not enjoy it. But I still hope you give it a try. This is my first time writing and I am doing it to get better, so any suggestion or criticism is welcome. I am a university student, so do not expect a robust upload schedule, I'll try to put out 2 chapters a week, but there might be some delays. I apologize for it in advance. P.s. English is not my native language, so there might be some errors, though I tried to mitigate them as much as possible.
