Matt's POV

Zacky and I sit in the waiting room while Becca, Jimmy, and Johnny go to grab something to eat. I'm beginning to get impatient regarding Brian's state, when a doctor comes in the room.

“Are you guys here for Mr. Haner Jr?”

“Yes we are,” I respond.

“Well we've got him stable. He's in surgery right now and he'll be hooked onto life support for the time being. He shouldn't need it for much longer depending on whether he shows signs of coming out of his coma or not. I'll keep you updated on his state of comatose as well.”

“Thank you so much. Can we stay until we know how the surgery goes?”

“Yes of course. I'll come back as soon as it's complete.”

“Thank you.”

He nods and exits the waiting room. I look over at Zacky and sigh in relief.

“Thank God. Hopefully he's not in this coma for much longer.”

“I know. It's gonna take him months to heal. We're gonna have to cancel this entire tour, dude. There's no way he'll be okay in time for it.”

“You're right,” I sigh. “How are we supposed to make up for it?”

“Don't plan any future tours until we make up for this one.”

“Yeah that's true. Fans are going to be devastated knowing we're gonna have to cancel on them again.”

“Hey I'm sure they'll be understanding. They'll know we can't play without Brian. Plus, it'll only be until Brian's completely healed. A couple months if not 6 or 7. It's not like they have to wait an entire year.”

“Good point.”

He nods.

“Wanna go find the others and tell them the news or should we wait for them to get back?”

“I am getting pretty hungry. Let's go meet them in the cafeteria and grab a bite while we tell them.”

“Good idea.”

We get up and I go over to the secretary to let her know we're going to the cafeteria to grab something to eat, so if the doctor comes looking for us to let him now where we are. She says she'll let him know and I thank her before following Zacky towards the cafeteria.

“The others are going to be so relieved.”

“I know. Especially Jimmy and Becca. They both looked affected the most.”

“That's because they're both practically the best friends of friends with Brian.”

“Yes true.”

I smile and we make our way inside the cafeteria. I look around and spot the others sitting at a table at the far end of the room. I point them out to Zacky then we both head over to them. I can't wait until they hear Brian will be okay.
