《Blood Walkers (A Once In A Bluemoon Novel Series #1) COMPLETED》Chapter Eighteen: Just getting Good

"So what do you think our wedding cake should look like?" Grey asked, holding the tablet with his legs crossed on the small picnic towel.
I slowly ate the blue berries from a white bowl we brought along. It was warm and great today. Yesterday, Grey decided to act like nothing happened and wanted to believe it wasn't all true, then, he decided to take me to a romantic picnic.
It wasn't so romantic so far.
He doesn't even know what being romantic means. He barely understands the word and he was failing at his own game.
"Emily?" He asked, putting down the tablet and looking at me. He was so unpredictable. First he's talking about the activities we'd do together today, and next moment it's the wedding plans.
"Emily, come on..." He groaned and I looked up at him. I couldn't help but feel special. Two deadly men were fighting for me. Sadly, both of them failed at their own games which is a shame.
I stuffed more blue berries into my mouth then shifted to eating the perfectly sliced apples.
"Could you stop eating and talk?" He asked and I glared at him.
"Is there a problem?" I asked and shoved another apple slice in my mouth. He sighed and stood up, defeated.
"Fine, I'll just be over there until you finish eating." He said, walking away.
I stopped eating and sighed. This was not going well. I stood up, feeling like I wanted to transform and just run to cool my heart down.
I shut my eyes and breathed.
Nothing.
She disappeared again which was not so surprising.
I sighed and stroked my elbow, thinking of what to do now.
Grey stood in front of me with a wide grin. I didn't like that grin at all. It was so straight and masked.
"Wanna go for a swim?" He asked, shoving the hair off my face. He was really trying....
"Um, sure." I shrugged and he smiled planting a small kiss on my lips, taking me by surprise.

Men.
He grabbed my wrist and pulled me to the edge of the cliff. I stared over and noticed the river down there.
This place had a lot of cliffs.
"We'll jump, it's much shorter." He said and I narrowed my eyes at him. Wasn't he watching? When I was with Hunter?
He didn't even tell me to jump, instead, he pulled me to his chest and we leaped over the edge.
We hit the water with such force that I felt massive pains around my legs. I flashed my eyes open when I reached the top of the water after Grey let me go. I looked around but couldn't see him anywhere. I sunk a bit into the water and saw him floating in it, looking unconscious.
Why did he even jump!?
I swam towards him and quickly wrapped my arms around his shoulders taking him to the surface then dragging him to the shore.
Once the warm sand met my feet, I began walking onto the ground, pulling him out of the water. I dragged him across the sand to a distance from the water and I bent down to check his heart beat, it was okay. I sighed and held my hand over to his mouth. No breath.
I bent down to breathe into his lungs when he burst out laughing.
He was holding his breath...
"Grey that wasn't funny!" I furrowed my brows and stared at him.
That smile... The laugh....
I couldn't help but smile at how I've achieved the impossible, making him laugh.
"You should have seen the look on your face!" he laughed and I rolled my eyes. "Priceless," he ended with a chuckle. "That just shows how much you're in love with me."
"I never sa-"
I was cut short when he rushed in and crushed his lips on mine, bringing my back to the ground in one swift movement.
I put my arms between us to separate him but he resisted, instead, leaned his chest on mine and used his elbows to reduce the pressure of his weight on me.

Grey... This is wrong.
I felt his fingers fiddle with the edge of my dress, slowly bringing it up.
Panic erupted through me and my heart skipped many beats as countless thoughts trailed my mind.
"Grey... You ... Stop!" I said but he simply locked our lips to shut me up, I tried to move but I made things worse, cause he finally brought the dress to my stomach, now with his whole weight was on me.
This time I tried so hard to get him off. I pulled on his hair, only to have him grab my hands and put them above my head and kept them with one hand as the other tried desperately on his belt.
Grey....
*
"Will she be okay?" I heard Grey's voice come in and I flashed my eyes open. It was embarrassing that I fainted half way through.
But it wasn't my fault, I wasn't ready at all....
I looked around until I met Renee's curious eyes as she looked between me and Grey who was currently still in the water soaked clothes.
The doctor left and Jacob gave out a loud sharp sigh, pinching the bridge of his nose in annoyance.
"I can't believe this Grey!" He turned and glared at Grey who looked away, seeking embarrassed. "You raped her!"
"Its not rape okay?" He mumbled as he scratched the back of his head.
"Oh, like she didn't faint because she was scared, okay." Jacob paced around the room in anger. "She has another mate, Grey! What the hell are you doing!? He will find out very soon! And what if she's pregnant!?"
I flinched at the word. This was bad.... What if I was!? Hunter.... What will Hunter do....? I'm not... I can't be...
Tears soaked my eyes as I glared at Grey who shifted his eyes to me in worry, yet again, I saw a faint smile on his face.
He wanted this to happen!
"It happened, so let's just move on okay?" Grey said, shoving his hands into his pockets.
For some odd reason my emotions were mixed and I didn't know exactly what to do. I could yell, but it didn't feel satisfying because tomorrow I'll wake up and realise it happened and there's completely no use in shouting the first time. I could cry, but no one would know how to comfort me. Plus it would be weird since I'm like a mate? Not everybody here knows about this love triangle....
I leaned back on the pillow and folded my arms. The best thing was to just shut up and see how things would go... In pain. In less than an hour, Renee and Jacob had left, leaving me with the person I didn't want to see. He sat next to me, lacing our fingers together. He smiled and stroked my cheek. I shut my eyes instead and kept my arms folded.
"Emily I'm sorry." He spoke softly. "I couldn't hold myself."
"Lair!" I spat out." you wanted that to happen! To get me pregnant or something... So that Hunter doesn't want me anymore... Stop being so selfish Grey!"
He clenched his jaw and looked at the floor.
"I'm not being selfish," he said, trying to sound calm. "I'm just in love with you."
"No you're not! You just want wha-"
"This time I'm telling the truth Emily!" He said, tightening the hold on my fingers. "I didn't want to believe it at first but I can't fight it! I'm in love with you! Real love okay! I could have let you go and ask the moon goddess for a second chance, but I couldn't because... I didn't want to lose you and... I'm in love with you. And if what I did meant I could have you... Then I don't regret a thing."
Well this is just getting good.
