We kept running. Everything was happening so fast. But hope was still alive as I saw the army.

The others were already there. They all looked relieved when they saw Zeus and I emerge.

Zeus was still grumpy with me. We huddled in a circle.

"Hey! We're here!" I felt relief as I saw my father and uncles come. I ran to him and gave him a giant hug.

"I'm happy you're okay." I said.

My father smiled, "Of course I'm okay. I'm a badass dad!" I laughed.

We all came together.

"Has anybody have eyes on, Nikolai?" Zeus asks anybody.

"I didn't and I had the best view," Dylan said, "He's no where in sight."

Eudora shook her head, "I didn't see him either."

"What if he didn't show up?" Sozin said.

Zeus didn't have a look of doubt in his eyes, "He's here. He's too desperate to have me dead to not be here."

That made me worry more. I don't know what I'll do if Zeus dies. The rumbling of feet stomping on the ground became louder, but the sound of explosions hadn't stopped either.

Everyone was ready as they all stood to attention.

Zeus looked at everybody, "Nikolai fights for power. We fight for something much more...each other. He has made it clear he seeks to destroy not only me but all of us. He wants to burn us all to the ground," Zeus scoffs, "But not before we give him a fight he'll remember for the rest of his life. We MAKE him realise that if he want's to burn us all...we're dragging him right to the pits of hell with us."

He turns to Donny and gives him a nod. Donny nods back. He walks to me and grabs my arm, dragging me away from the group.

I stumbled as he was pulling me away from the group, "Wait wait, what? Donny stop! I can't leave!" I exclaimed.

Donny looked at me and said, "I'm sorry, Lil. Zeus's orders."

I look to my mate, "Don't do this Zeus! Please! I need to be here!" Tears stung my eyes. I felt this unbearable need to protect him. I can't let anything bad happen to him.

I look to my father to help me, but he stands there, giving me a pointed look. He wanted me to listen to Zeus.

Zeus came to me and cupped my face. His eyes ran over every feature of my face, "I can't have you here, Lily. You need to be safe or else I can't fight properly while being worried about you."

"Please, Zeus. I want to fight by your side. I can't let anything happen to you!"

He chuckles and tucks my hair behind my ear, "That's my job, love. The man protects the woman."

I pull against Donny. Zeus nods at Donny and he lets me go. I jump into Zeus's arms, "But he's not after me...He's after you." I said while fighting back tears.

Zeus holds me tight against his chest, "He's only after you to get to me because he knows I would do anything for you. You are protecting me by not being here." Zeus pulls back and cups my face, "You are my most precious treasure, Lily. I cannot live without you. I refuse to. I need you in my life, Lil. I need you. Please do this for me. Please." Zeus's eyes were pleading with me.

Every part of me wants to fight to help Zeus, but if it's only going to make things worse...then what's the point? If by not being here to fight helps Zeus...then I want to do it.

I sigh in defeat, "Okay," Zeus gives me a sad grin as he wipes the one tear I let escape.

He lifts me up and pulls me in and kisses me. He holds me tight and I wrap my arms around his neck. I commit every single action we make to memory. Just in case because at the end...I need to prepare for anything to happen.

Zeus puts me on my feet and he steps away. His eyes locked to mine, "Go."

Donny came and took my hand. He pulls me gently away and I let him. I turn to run away.

"Wait! Lily!" Zeus shouted.

We stopped and I turned around.

He stood there for a moment. His eyes running over every detail of me until they reach my eyes. He turns his body fully facing me. There was a moment of silence. And then he said it.

"I love you."

My breath hitched. He didn't turn away or look hesitant to say it. He stood there looking into my eyes totally and utterly unwavering.

I felt fresh tears run down my face as I felt those four words impact me in the most deepest way. I was unshaken by his confession and I knew I felt the exact same way and I think I have for a long time, "I love you Zeus." I said back.

We stood staring at each other for a quick moment before Donny wisps me away into the darkness of the forest.

ZEUS

I watch Lily being dragged away by Donny. I watched her until I couldn't. I love you, Lily. I have not said such words in almost a hundred years.

This might be my last chance.

I take a deep breath and wipe any thoughts of Lily from my mind. I turn to face the enemy. It is time to fight.

I close my eyes and take a deep breath. I let the rumble of violence that is to come, rattle throughout my body. It's time.

I open my eyes and for this moment...I'm gonna let loose like never before. I'm going to embrace the darkness inside of me because only then could I win this. I take one step forward, everybody behind me did the same. This only proved to me their complete trust and loyalty to me.

I look a head and began to run forward. My friends and men did the same. I saw the enemy ahead charging straight at us.

I snarled and growled as I felt the power of the beast inside of me come out.

LILY

Donny and I were running. He never let go of my hand. He had it in a tight grip as the trees all became a blur as our legs were burning.

My mind kept on going back to Zeus. Everything in hopes and prays that he will be okay, that nothing bad will happen to him.

"Where are we going?" I ask Donny.

"Zeus told me to take you to the tower. He said you'll be safe there."

ZEUS

I severed the guys head off with my teeth, leaving his body limp on the ground. Someone jumps on my back and grabs a hold of my neck. I jump up and land on my back. The guy lets go as he wheezes for air. I get up turn around and jab my hand straight into his chest grabbing the pulsating organ and ripping it out. His eyes darken as his life left him.

I look around, blood was everywhere. I made sure all of the people that were close to me were okay. I searched the place for Lily's father, Eddie. He was fighting off two vampires. One of them was holding him down while the other approached him.

I snarled as I charged at the vampire approaching Eddie, she didn't see me. Her fangs were elongating. She wanted to feed. I ran hard and opened my arms. I tackled her to the ground before she could do anything.

I heard the air getting hit out of her body. She groans as she was on the ground. Her pale face looked whiter as her eyes set on me. Fear was evident as she was speechless.

I growled down at her.

She gasps, "P-Please. H-Have mercy. I have ch-children. P-P-Please!"

I grabbed her neck and I said, "You should have thought of your children before coming here." I snap her neck, leaving her lifeless body on the ground.

Eddie had killed the vampire that was restraining him.

My eyes scanned the area for Nikolai. But he was no where in sight. I couldn't even sense him. I fought my way up the small hill ahead to get a better view.

I felt my heart drop. I did not find Nikolai. But I underestimated how many people he had. Another black flood of loyal members of his cause came flooding down. I stood still as I beheld a second wave of an army I didn't know about. This wasn't supposed to happen. We were not prepared for an army as powerful as this.

This was impossible. I never thought his army would be this large. This was beyond any kind of battle I had fought in. The only way for us to win this is if I fight him here and now.

I scan the area. I see all of my friends, my family fighting for me. For my life. To protect me and Lily. I am not worth this much. I could not bare the thought of any of them losing their lives for someone like me.

I looked past the trees and saw another swarm of them coming in. They were coming at all angles. I froze when I saw where they were coming from. They were coming out from behind the tower. SHIT!

"Lily." She was supposed to be heading there.

Dread and dropped into my stomach. I jumped off the hill and went sprinting to the tower, but I came to an immediate stop when someone was in my way.

"Nikolai." I snarled.

His dead smile widens, "We meet again...old friend."

"You planned all of this." I said, "You knew exactly what we were doing."

He smiles and unbuttons his straight black coat, "I did. I spread the rumour myself. I told the amount of allies I had built when really it was only a taste of what was to come. Now your little Lily is in peril. She will not survive, old friend. Just as Lillian did not. Nor did your unborn child."

I stood there with a wild fire of fury burning me inside as I looked upon the man that has taken everything from me. I looked to the tower. I needed to get to Lily. I looked back at Nikolai. But I need to kill him in order for me to do that.

He bares his fangs, "You will not get to her in time, Zeus." He said.

I take a threatening step forward, "I will," I take another step, "Once your head rolls." I launch forward as did Nikolai.

Both of us in the air charging at the each other as we collide.

LILY

Donny and I were climbing up, we were nearing to the tower.

"Wait!" Donny said as he pushes me back. We both stilled. There was a rumble into the ground. I frowned.

"What is that?" I asked Donny.

I could see his face had worry written all over it. He looked at the tower and then abruptly turns around, grabbing my arm in a painful grip and pushing me down the hill.

"Go, Lily go! Run!" He said in a panic.

Donny was behind me pushing me forward.

"Don't look back, Lil just run!" Donny shouted at me. Panic was surging through my veins. I took a quick glance over my shoulder and I felt the blood drain from my face. There was another army coming down from behind the tower.

Donny kept pushing me down the hill.

"Where can we go?!" I shouted.

I looked back at Donny, he looked unsure, "I don't know! Just follow me I'll figure out something!" He took a hold of my hand tightly.

ZEUS

I punched Nikolai in the face. He recovers and grabs my arm trying to sink his teeth into it. I grab his face and push him back. I slammed him against a tree. He yells out in pain. I grabbed a hold of his neck, but he lifted his knee, slamming it into my stomach. He yanks my hands off his neck, then pushes me back, causing me to fall unto the ground.

He jumps in the air, but I move away before he could rip my heart out. He snarls in frustration. I swing my legs around, hitting his, making him fall on the ground. I got on top of him and I rain punches down on his face.

"You are not strong, Zeus. You are weak!" Nikolai said after I lift him up and then drop him hard back on the ground on his back.

I growled down at him, "I'm strong enough to kill you." I extend my claws and slash his stomach. Nikolai yells in pain.

"You fucking bastard! That fucking hurts!" Nikolai shouts.

LILY

The army was gaining on us. Donny was pulling me as he was running faster and faster. It was getting harder and harder for me to keep up.

I heard another pair of feet running. From the corner of my eye I saw shadows travelling in the trees. From our other side a man jumps out of the trees and tackles me to the ground.

He is snarling on top of me. He extends his fangs and bends down to plunge it into my neck. I grab a hold of his face and use all of my strength to push him away.

However, Donny comes running and roars as he tackles him, "Get the fuck off her! Fucking motherfucker!" Donny begins to fight the vampire.

I get grabbed from behind by another one of those black monster. I yell out in anger as I shifted into my wolf, making the monster have a harder grip on me. He clawed my side, making blood gush out. My wolf yelps in pain.

"Lily" Donny shouts.

I growled and snarled at the monster. The demon jumps on me but I bite as hard as I can into his side. It's clawing at my face. And though it hurt, I was too angry to care. I chomp down hard on the monster until it stopped moving. I threw it away into the air. Seeing it slam down onto the ground lifeless.

Donny was still fighting the vampire. I ran to him to help. I tackled the vampire to the ground.

It snarled at me, "You bitch!" I grabbed it's arm and ripped it off. The male vampire shrieked in torturous pain. I bit again into it's side. I threw it in the air.

Donny jumps up, shifts into his wolf mid-air and bites down on the head of the vampire, cutting it clean off.

Through the trees I saw many of them starting to come running. Donny came to me and pushes me to keep going.

We have to go Lily! Run as hard as you can! Donny shouts into my mind.

So we ran as hard as we could while Nikolai's army was hunting us down.
