《Nebula's Echo (a Naruto Fanfic)》Chapter 1

I woke up with a start. Looking at the familiar ceiling, I drifted into deep thought. For some reason I feel like I was supposed to do something important, but what....
I closed my eyes, frowning slightly. After ten or so minutes my eyes snapped open again.
Oh shoot. School. I was supposed to get up, but after I closed my alarm I fell right back asleep. Shoot. Shooooot. Whyyy meeee!
I jumped out of bed like I was the Flash and displayed my unreal multi-tasking abilities by brushing my teeth, dressing and somehow managing to brush my hair all at once.
Once I was more or less done I practically flew down the stairs, grabbed my bag and an apple before storming out of the house.
I ran until I was out of breath and slowed, taking out my phone so I could read while walking. What can I say, I believe in the wisdom of multi-tasking, thereby saving time. As I was happily walking with my nose stuck to my screen, a noise made me look up. A truck was headed straight for me.
Oh no, you don't.
I thought and quickly ran to the side. After the crisis was averted I let out a breath and resumed walking. Now that was a close call. I over exaggeratedly wiped the sweat from my forehead.
I happily continued on my path towards the prison disguised as a learning facility. Turning the corner I saw another truck, driving right towards me. Driving ON THE SIDEWALK.
Where did that idiot even get his driver's license from?!
I ran into the nearest yard, waiting for the idiot-truck to practically fly past me, with the speed he was going at. STILL ON THE FREAKIN' SIDEWALK.
What's with the trucks today? Truck-sama wants to get me into the beyond for some cliche transmigration/reincarnation crap? Na-ah, ain't gonna happen.

Suddenly I heard yet another noise, much louder this time, sounding far above my head. I looked up at the sky, squinting slightly. A helicopter was flying over where I stood. I looked down smirking.
So that was all it was. I'm getting paranoid.
I sent one last glance at the helicopter before walking onward but that glance made me stop in my tracks. Something had fallen out of the massive helicopter and was heading straight for me. I narrowed my eyes suspiciously as my face took on a ridiculously blank look -_-
Is that... a truck...?
By then it was too late. The massive vehicle had completely crushed me in a matter of seconds. Before everything went dark, one last though resounded in my head...
Are. You. Kidding. Me. WTF. That Truck-sama sure is one stubborn bastard...

I Want You to Remember Me
A simple romantic tale of a... girl meeting a... boy. Trust and love both take time to grow, but growing together is also a lot of fun. A handful of disclaimers and claims: First, this is fan fiction, set in the “Amaranthine Saga” universe written by Forthright. The story and characters, on the other hand, are wholly my own (fault). I highly encourage you to read the stories from the “Amaranthine Saga” before reading this; the latter half of this story will make a whole lot more sense if you do. Second, this is a relatively short and stand-alone story. The completed story should clock in around 10,000 words, so please do not expect a novel, let alone a series. Third, while this is a romantic story, I’ve never been a fan of the usual romance “misunderstanding” tropes. Think of this as more of a romantic slice-of-life story than an action or traditional romance story. Finally, thank you for reading. :)
