《Yeji Imagines (gxg)》you saved me - part two (requested)

The time dragged by as Yeji sat in the waiting room, waiting to hear something from someone about you.
Upon arriving and seeing you get wheeled away into a room, a nurse held Yeji back as she tried to run inside to hold your hand, explaining that she couldn't go in there.
She immediately reached for her phone to call the girls. They got there as soon as they could, instantly pulling Yeji in for big comforting hugs, knowing that's what she needed most at that time.
They let her cry it all out as she explained what happened.
"Yeji, she saved your life. She did that so you wouldn't get hurt." Lia comforted as she brushed the tips of her fingers along Yeji's arms.
"I would've rather been hit. I hate that she's hurt because of me."
"It's not because of you. It's because of that driver." Ryujin said. "You heard what the police said. He was drunk driving, reckless, and didn't care about anyone but himself. He fled the scene because he panicked. The only person to blame for this is him."
"Ryujin is right. Just try to breathe, Yeji. I know it's hard but y/n is so tough, I know she'll pull through." Yuna said and Yeji just sniffled and nodded her head.
It was a few hours later when she heard the footsteps trailing approaching her and the girls. She lifted her head and saw a doctor making his way over.
"Which of you is Yeji?"
Yeji quickly stood up.
"That's me. Is y/n okay?"
"She's alive and she'll make a full recovery."
Yeji breathed out a sigh of relief and the girls quickly wrapped her in a group hug.
"She received a lot of injuries. A lot of broken bones, whiplash, some bleeding. But she will be okay in time. But I'm not sure how long it's going to take for her to get back to normal. She's going to have to stay here for a while so she can recover and she might need help with simple tasks even when she does get to go home, which I wouldn't count on being for a few weeks, at least."

It was a lot to take in.
But it was all okay for Yeji.
Yes, of course, it broke her heart to hear it all. But at the end of the day, you were alive and you'd make a full recovery and feel like yourself again someday.
That's what mattered most to her.
"Can I see her?"
"Yeah. Come on, follow me. I'll take you to her."
"We'll wait here and visit her later. You go see her." Chaeryeong said and she gave them all quick hugs and thanked them for being there for her through everything before she followed the doctor.
"Is she awake?"
"Off and on. She had surgery, so she's not fully with us yet, and she's on some pretty serious pain medication, so she might wake up and be responsive for a few minutes and then go back to sleep. It all just depends. But I think if she responds to anyone, it'll be you."
"I hope so." Yeji smiled and thanked the doctor as he opened the door of your hospital room and walked inside with the doctor.
She almost lost it when she saw you laying on the hospital bed with a bunch of wires hooked up to you.
"I know it's a lot to take in."
Yeji nodded at his words and sat down on the chair beside your bed. Your eyes were closed and the hand closest to her had the IV in it, but she took it into hers anyways, promising you that she wouldn't hurt bump it and hurt you.
"My love... I'm here with you now." She whispered as she leaned down to kiss your arm. "You did amazing fighting through everything and you kept holding on. You're such a strong, brave girl." She spoke through her tears. "I love you. Everything's okay now. You're okay."

A few seconds later, you let out a few soft sounds and opened your eyes.
Yeji gasped and the doctor, who was still in the room looking over everything to make sure everything was hooked up properly, quickly noticed that your eyes were open.
"Yeji?" You spoke quietly.
"Yeah, baby, I'm here." She said and used her other hand to stroke your cheek.
She was very careful of all the bandages across your face from the cuts and scrapes you had that they had to clean up.
You turned to lock eyes with her and she smiled at you.
"There are those pretty eyes." She smiled. "I'm so happy that you're okay."
"Me too." You said. "You're okay?"
Her heart skipped a beat, finding it oh so sweet how, even now, you still feel the need to check up on her too.
"Yeah. I'm just fine. Thanks to you."
You weakly smiled at her and it grew just a little as she kissed your cheek.
"You scared me though."
"I know. But I couldn't let you get hurt. I did what I had to do to make sure you'd be okay. I don't have any regrets over that."
"You're amazing." She whispered as she stared at you in awe.
"I'd do it again in a heartbeat." You said. "I love you."
"I love you more," she said as she leaned in and kissed your lips. "You're going to be alright. The doctor said you might have to stay here for a while to recover, but don't you worry. I'll be here with you."
"You have work, Yeji."
"So? I don't care. I'm not leaving you. I was so scared I was going to lose you. I'm not leaving your side. The girls will have my back and the fans will understand. What matters most right now is you."
You squeezed her hand and smiled a little and she felt like she could just cry all over again, but this time because she was so happy and so thankful that you were alright.
"I'm tired." You sighed.
"I know. You can go to sleep for a while. I won't leave your side."
"Okay." You smiled a little as you closed your eyes.
Yeji kissed your forehead and stroked your cheek as she watched you fall back asleep, swearing she'd never take another minute by your side for granted ever again.
