《Lost | ✓》8 / Jealousy

For the rest of the evening, Tyler and I spent it catching up with each other.
We spoke about everything that went on in the last six years, but happened to not mention the first year after the crash.
I could tell he wasn't ready to relive those moments, so I chose to stay silent instead of asking the dozens of questions that came to mind.
My dad came home late that night, so I offered that instead of him having to sneak out of the house, he could stay over, and he happily accepted.
When Tuesday morning rolled by, we were woken up by my seven o'clock alarm, and I grudgingly woke up, only to look over to see Tyler sprawled out on the floor.
I bit back a smile as I lifted my head off of the pillow behind me, just before grabbing it in my hold and violently throwing it in his direction.
It landed directly on his head, and Tyler's eyes flew open, staring at me with an expression filled with shock.
"Hi," I smiled, and he playfully glared at me as he began to stand up.
Tyler threw himself onto me, landing straight on my stomach which caused me to gasp out in pain.
"You ass!" I shouted as I rolled him off of me while he silently laughed.
A yawn left me before I sat up, followed with Tyler copying my actions. "So," I began as I looked at the time quickly on my phone. "You should probably go now before my dad wakes up," I smiled softly as I tilted my head to the side.
He nodded and got off of the bed as he began to look for his sweat shirt. "Where's my..."
"I may have thrown it in my bathtub after you tried to throw that wet tissue on me last night," I laughed as I watched him begin to glare at me.
"You started it," I reminded him, and he rolled his eyes.
Before he was about to enter the bathroom, I cringed when I remembered what I did before I placed his sweater inside.
"Are you fucking kidding me Amanda?" Tyler hissed quietly when he noticed that his sweater was mildly wet from the water.
"Sorry," I said before biting my bottom lip.
Tyler left the bathroom with the sweater in his hold, but he held it far from his chest before he threw it on me.
"I fucking hate you," I gasped out, and he quietly laughed to avoid waking my dad.
"How is it still so wet?" I asked, and he smirked mischievously.
"I turned on the tap and ran it through the water," Tyler confessed as I stood up from my bed to throw his sweater back into my tub.
When I got back inside my bedroom, Tyler was no where to be found when suddenly, large arms wrapped themselves next to me, pressing me against their chest.
"Tyler," I laughed quietly as he began to tickle my sides.
He didn't stop, so I shimmed out of his hold until there was a few feet between us. "You need to go," I reminded him, and he sighed before grabbing his belongings and leaving through the window.
"Climb safe," I whispered, and he narrowed his eyes on me as he continued to climb down the pipeline.
When Tyler reached the bottom, I waved at him one last time before turning back to my room and doing my bed.
Once that was finished, I headed to the bathroom and brushed my teeth before entering my room once again to change into something comfortable.

After deciding to wear black leggings with a black tee-shirt, followed by wearing a long, grey knit cardigan, I went downstairs.
For thirty minutes, I was either eating with my dad before he had to go to work early, or packing up my school bag for the day.
Just before I was going to head out to begin my walk to school, my doorbell rang unexpectedly, and I jogged to the front before throwing it open.
My brows furrowed when I saw Tyler in front of me, fully dressed in dark jeans and a white tee-shirt. "What are you doing here?" I asked, and he looked slightly offended by my question.
"To drive you obviously," he rolled his eyes before nodding his head once to his black BMW.
I nodded my head slowly before turning back around to get my bag and phone. Once they were both in my hold, I closed the door and pressed on the alarm before heading back outside to lock the door.
Tyler and I walk side by side to his car until I stopped suddenly when I saw Travis, also known to me as puppy killer sitting on the passenger seat.
When he saw me, he nodded his head once in greeting before paying attention to his phone.
"Hi," I greeted once I took a seat behind Travis.
"Hey," he grumbled quietly as Tyler opened up the driver's door to get inside.
The first beginning of the ride was silent, with only the sound of music softly playing in the background.
Only when we saw the school nearing us did Travis begin talking. "So you're the Amanda," he stated slowly, and I nodded.
"Yeah, that's my name," I laughed awkwardly.
Tyler threw me a look through the rear view mirror, winking once before paying attention to the road.
After Tyler found a parking spot close to school, all three of us walked side by side to the school until suddenly, Erin emerged from behind the school doors, making her way towards us.
"Look at this little gang," she commented as she stood next to Travis, who, cringed at the close space between them.
Erin noticed and rolled her eyes as she took a step closer to him before wrapping her arm around his neck. "We're best friends, can't you tell?" She laughed, and I cracked a smile when I saw the look on Travis' face.
"God help me," he grumbled under his breath and from the looks of it, Erin tightened her hold on him.
Suddenly, Tyler's warm presence wrapped itself around me as he took a step closer to me. My smile was hidden behind the wall of hair I left between us.
Erin and Travis continued to bicker until the final bell rang, and at that point, I noticed Claire staring at me — I'm not sure for how long.
"I'll see you soon," I whispered to him before turning back to walk to Claire, who suddenly smiled at my choice of actions.
"Let's go to class?" I asked when I saw her so she wouldn't begin to ask why I'm hanging out with different people today.
Claire seemed hesitant but nodded nonetheless. "Okay then, let's go."

My first two classes passed smoothly, and when History finished, Erin and I left the classroom excitedly.
Of course, I had to slightly crush Erin's dreams when I said I would have to go to my locker before heading to the cafeteria to get food.
"Stop being dramatic," I spoke as I rolled my eyes at the sound of Erin claiming to die if she did not have any food in her system in the next five minutes.

"I didn't eat breakfast," she reminded me again.
Once I've closed my locker with my homemade wrap in my hold, I faced her with a smile. "Not my fault."
Suddenly, someone presses them self behind me, and I look over my shoulder to see Tyler fashioning a smirk.
Looking next to him, Travis stood silently — which Erin took as a challenge.
"Why hello there!" She cheered, and he scrunched up his nose.
He responded, and they both began bickering. I was trying to stifle my laugh as I was watching their conversation when suddenly, I felt a poke on my rib.
I looked next to Tyler and saw him flashing me a smile. "What?" I asked, smiling myself.
He shrugged, but still didn't hide his smile. "Nothing."
We both looked into each other's eyes, and I couldn't help but release a shaky breath as I looked away from him, only to notice that Erin and Travis stopped bickering and had now placed their attention on us.
But instead of looking at us blankly like Travis was doing, Erin's expression softened when she looked at Tyler. As though she was relived that he was smiling.
I cleared my throat. "Let's head to the cafeteria?" I asked, but already began walking to the direction of the cafe.
Tyler looked once to Travis before nodding as he stood next to me.
All four of us walked silently to the cafeteria and took control of a table right next to the large windows.
Erin went to go grab some food while the boys and I sat on the chairs in front of the table. "What do you guys have for lunch?" I asked as I began to pull off the saran wrap from my chicken wrap.
"Don't eat at school," Tyler said, and I pouted as I looked at my food.
Without thinking twice, I pushed my wrap forward so it was right in front of Tyler. He furrowed his eyebrows, and I raised mine, offering for him to at least take a bite.
Tyler tried to hide a smile before he took a large bite of my food. When I pulled it back, I noticed Travis staring at us weirdly.
"You guys are acting like you're dating but... you just don't have the fun part," he said, and I rolled my eyes just before noticing Claire making her way towards us.
Tyler noticed my attention was off of him and onto someone behind him. He looked over his shoulder, and when he saw who caught my attention, his expression turned stone cold before facing me.
"I'm gonna go baby," he whispered, and my heart slightly fluttered at the sound of him calling me that once again.
I nodded as I briefly looked at Claire. "Okay. After school?" I asked, and he nodded as he and Travis stood up.
As they were walking out of the cafeteria, Erin noticed as she began walking to the table next to Claire.
"Why'd they leave?" Erin asked, taking seat next to me.
I shrugged as I watched Claire take the seat across from me. "No idea," I whispered as I eyed Erin's bowl of pasta.
"Since when are you guys talking?" Claire asked, sounding as though she tried to not clench her jaw.
"Why do you care?" Erin asked before I could answer.
Claire shrugged as she moved her fried rice with her spoon. "Considering the only girl he's even spoken to was... well, Erin, I'm confused to why he's talking to A."
Erin's brows furrowed. "Why do you call her A? She not a fucking sociopath from Pretty Little Liars," she said, and I choked on a laugh as Claire began to glare.
"It's my nickname for her," she responded before looking back to me. "So what's going on between you both?"
Before I could answer again, Erin interrupted. "Why? You jealous, Claire?"
Claire scoffed, but it sounded forced. "What? No. I was just curious," she mumbled before eating a spoonful of fried rice.
Both Erin and I looked at each other, mentally agreeing that she's lying.

After my literature in film class finished by the end of the day, I went to my locker to drop of my binder when I found Travis texting on his Motorola flip phone a few lockers away from me.
Once I've emptied out the unnecessary things I didn't need from my bag, I closed my locker and walked towards Travis, who was still looking on his phone.
"Hi," I waved, and he looked up from his phone to give me a single nod before looking back down.
"Who you texting?" I asked.
"Baby brother," he grumbled, clearly annoyed by my presence.
But I didn't care. "Oh! How old is he?"
Travis sighed and shut of his phone before keeping his attention on me. "If I tell you, will you leave me alone?"
A smirk grew on my lips as I crossed my arms over my chest. "Probably not," I answered honestly.
"He's twelve," he whispered with a hint of a smile on his lips, letting me see passed his hard exterior.
"I always wanted a younger sibling," I admitted, and his brows furrowed.
"Why?"
I shrugged. "I'm an only child. It's quiet in the house all the time," I answered, and he slowly nodded.
"Why didn't your parents have more kids after you?"
My mouth opened, ready to respond, but no sound came out.
"Just because," I whispered.
"Hey guys," Tyler said as he was continuing to walk so he would be next to me.
I smiled in greeting. "Hey, Rely," I said, reminding him of my former nickname for him.
"Rely?" Travis asked, and I smirked.
"It's his name backwards without the t in the end," I admitted before adding," I wasn't entirely creative as a four year old obviously."
Travis looked between the both of us with a look filled with confusion, but I didn't miss how his lip lifted slightly.
"Well, are you both ready to go?" Tyler asked, and before I was able to say yes, Travis answered first.
"You both go. I'll catch a bus," he said, and Tyler hesitantly nodded.
"Are you sure?" Tyler asked, and Travis rolled his eyes before nodding.
After we all said our goodbyes, we separated ways with Travis and made our way to Tyler's car, that was sitting untouched by the front of the school.
The drive to my house was silent, but when he finally parked on my driveway, I unbuckled the seat belt and faced him. "You wanna hang out until my dad gets back from work?"
Tyler smiled and unbuckled his seat belt as well. "Sure."
We both headed inside and jogged up the stairs. Once we reached my bedroom, I dropped my bag on my chair.
When I turned back around, I noticed Tyler looking at something in my closet, and after a few seconds passed, he pulled out my old soccer ball.
Tyler looked at me, wanting to ask a question, but got stopped by the sound of the front door opening from downstairs.
My eyebrows furrowed as I exited my room, with Tyler following behind me.
"Dad?" I asked, shocked, to see my dad by the front of the house, taking off his shoes.
"Hi sweetie," he smiled, still not noticing Tyler's tense body behind me.
I walked down the last couple steps. "Why are you home from work early?"
He shrugged and dropped his briefcase on the table under the horizontal mirror. "Decided to come home... early," he said slowly as he began to notice there was someone else in the room.
I signaled Tyler to stand next to me, and he did so in a few seconds.
"Dad, this is Tyler," I couldn't help but grin. "Tyler, Tyler."
My dads eyes widened to an extreme extent before looking at Tyler. "So," he began. "I'm assuming that he's the reason why you've been acting weird this past week.
I smiled shyly as Tyler placed his arm between the both of them. "It's nice seeing you again, Mr. Tanner."
"Emanuel," he told him as he clasped his hand with his.
After they shook hands, dad smiled. "If you'd like, you can stay for dinner."
Tyler sent me a look before nodding. "Sure. Thanks, Emanuel."
"Now both of you go catch up. I'll let you know when dinner's ready," dad said, and we both nodded before jogging upstairs.
When we made it to my room, I recommended watching a movie, and he agreed.
Bending down to my knees, I looked though my dozens of movies when a thought passed through me.
"Tyler," I called out, looking over my shoulder to see him flat on his back on my bed.
"Yeah?" He responded, and I moved away from the disks so I was looking at him comfortably.
"What do you have against Claire?"
He sat up fast and looked at me confused. "What?"
I rolled my eyes. "I'm not blind. I saw how you reacted when you saw her."
Tyler sighed as he crossed his arms over his chest. "Honestly, she's fucking crazy. Claire is the definition of obsessed."
"How so?"
"Well first," he began as leaned back on the headboard. "She continued requesting to follow me. When I accepted a few months later, she liked my photos from a few years ago."
My eyebrows raised. "That's it?"
"She also creeps on me at every party I'm at," he added.
Deciding to play along, I gasped and pressed my hand against my chest. "For how long?"
He scoffed. "Since before you left, Amanda. She was in our class back then apparently. She continues to remind me every chance she gets."
My breath got stuck in my throat when a previous memory came back to me.
"Oh, my God! I was in that class! I remember you! You were always around..."
That was it. That's all she said. Claire stopped before she could tell me about Tyler.
My eyes widened when I came to my final conclusion.
"What?" Tyler asked, and I looked at him with a clenched jaw.
"Claire knew this entire time we were friends."
