Kida's POV
Kakashi and I walked to the barbeque restaurant at a leisurely pace. Neither of us spoke on the way.
A few minutes into the walk, Guy realised that Kakashi wasn't running after him and ran back to walk with us. His booming voice as he tried to make conversation echoed through the mildly busy, night life street.
"So Kida! Has Kakashi told you about our rivalry!?" Guy asked grinning down at me as we walked.
As far as I could tell, this 'rivalry' was very one sided... I don't think Kakashi has the motivation to commit to a rivalry full time...
"No, he hasn't mentioned it Unnnnncle Guy" I replied glancing up at him... oh how I wish I hadn't. Guy was biting his lower lip and his eyes were glistening with unshed tears.
Guy stopped in his tracks and shielded his eyes with his hand as he began to shake slightly. Oh god, what is he doing?
Suddenly he leaped forward, I was too occupied thinking what was wrong with him, well... what was wrong with him at the moment... because there is clearly many things wrong with him...
I didn't jump away in time. He pulled me into a bone crushing hug, pinning my arms to my sides, before lifting me off the ground and spinning in circles.
"IT JUST SOUNDS SO RIGHT BEING CALLED UNCLE GUY!! THE AFFECTION IN THE TITLE CAUSES MY OWN POWER OF YOUTH TO BURST FORTH AND EMBRACE MY NEW DEAR NIECE!!" He yelled as he continued spinning.
Finally he set me down again, keeping his hand around shoulder. But we weren't in the street anymore, we were now standing on the edge of a cliff as he continued speaking.
"I VOW TO CONTINUE GETTING STRONGER SO THAT I MAY BE A WORTHY UNCLE AND SO I CAN MAKE SURE THAT NO HARM BEFALLS MY LITTLE ANGEL!!"
This whole time, all that was going through my head was 'Just endure it. Just endure it. Don't kill him. Just endure it.'
Finally the cliff disappeared and we stood in the street again. I looked around spotting Kakashi just before he knocks Guys hand of my shoulder and puts his own hand on my back to guide me away from the creeper in my traumatized state.
He didn't look back at guy as he said in a calm, but warning voice "Don't touch my daughter again. She doesn't like it."
An anime arrow pierced through Guys chest as Kakashi's words took affect and we continued walking away from him.
Regaining himself again, he quickly caught up with us grinning again as he spoke. "Well yes, your father and I have been rivals since we were kids..." Guy continued filling in conversation until we got to the barbeque restaurant... finally.
Kakashi and Guy stepped ahead of me through the restaurant doors. A tingling sensation brushed the back of my neck and a sudden feeling of uneasiness came over me as I was about to follow them into the restaurant. I looks back over my shoulder, there were many people walking past under the street lights and the inside lights of the buildings which were the only illumination left at this time of night. But my gaze looked past where the light ended and into the darkness that engulfed the roofs of the surrounding buildings. I thought I sensed something there, but I couldn't see anything.

Kakashi stuck his head out the door again, "You coming?" he asked before looking to where I had was looking, out at the roofs. To my surprise, Kakashi chuckled, which caused me to swing my head back around and look at him confusedly. He gave me a closed eye smile as he opened to door wider and said quietly so that I could just hear him, "I wouldn't worry about it".
I looked at him even more confused, but his reassurance somehow made me feel content. So, with one last glance over my shoulder, I followed him inside.
Sasuke's POV
It had taken us a few minutes to recover after Kakashi and the Silver Haired Devil had stepped around us in the doorway of the Hokage's office. From the brief parts of the conversation we had managed to hear through the door, we deduced that her name was Kida. But other than that, the muffled words on the other side of the door remained a mystery. But judging by her looks... and by her fighting abilities... I'm guessing that she's probably related to Kakashi, maybe his daughter?
The Hokage paused in his writing and looked at us under the rim of his hat as we stood awkwardly in the doorway, exchanging confused looks and glancing back towards the Hokage for some kind of explanation to what the hell had just happened. "Close the door behind you please" he said smiling lightly and going back to his paper work, obviously he wasn't going to divulge any information to us. Bastard.
I stuffed my hand in my pockets and kept my eyes on the ground as all three of us silently made our way out of the Hokage building. When we finally made it outside, we all stopped simultaneously. Idiot Naruto was standing absently with his mouth hanging open slightly and his eyes squinted together in confusion. And Sakura was standing between us with her hands clasped together in front of her and a slight frown on her face, she kept stealing glances at me then blushing and looking at the ground.
Finally, Naruto decided to break the confusion induced silence that surrounded us. "Sakura, wanna go for ramen?" he asked, his face breaking into a grin. Straight away, Sakura looked up at me and with a blush on her cheeks asked "Did you want to get ramen Sasuke? We could go as a team and get to know each other more?"
I was prepared to walk away right then, but then she added on with a more hopeful tone. "And we could talk about that girl, Kida, as well. Work out who she is?" This caught my attention. I hadn't seen the Silver Haired Devil fight with Naruto, but he did look pretty beat up afterwards... Naruto might have gathered more information on her during their fight which could be useful.
"Hn" I responded before starting to walk in the direction of the ramen shop. Sakura quickly fell into step beside me and Naruto glared at me before looking back to the road ahead and grinning.
We had just walked out of the ramen stand and were about to go our separate ways when we heard a commotion at the other end of the street. I saw a flash of silver being engulfed by a blob of green. My eyes narrowed as I focused on the silver being and recognised the small, lean frame to be that Silver Haired Devil.

I jumped on the roof and ran down the other end of the street where she was. Sakura and Naruto caught up to me when I stopped on the building across from the barbeque restaurant. Many people were bustling past under the lamp lit street and the noise was ridiculous for this late in the evening.
My eyes focused on the dazzling silver that reflected the light to emit a heavenly glow that surrounded her fair skinned face and contrasted with her dark lashes and intense eyes. I was disappointed that the mask shrouded the rest of her face, under it she's probably even more beautif... Damn it... Silver Haired Devil. Silver Haired Devil. DEVIL. DEVIL. DEVIL.
Silently crouching out of reach of the street lights, we observed Kakashi Sensei, the 'Silver Haired Devil', and another man in a green jump suit with a black bowl cut about to walk into the restaurant.
Before the younger silverette passed through the threshold though, she gazed uncertainly over her shoulder. When her eyes travelled upwards towards where we were crouched, the three of us quickly leapt over to the other side of the roof and peered over the top at the suspicious and confused looking 'Kida' who kept skimming her eyes over the roof we were on. It's unlikely that she would be able to see us in the darkness, even if we hadn't moved, but she definitely knows someone's here... Interesting.
Kakashi poked his head back out the door and followed Kida's gaze towards us in what might have been confusion but was quickly replaced with amusement. That bastard...
Opening the door wider for her, Kakashi led a still slightly confused looking Kida through the door.
Kakashi's POV
Well, that was interesting. Kida knew they were there. When I was chasing her down today, and when I watched her fight Sasuke and Naruto, she didn't use any chakra based attacks, she kept it physical.
The longer I've been around her, the more I'm sensing her chakra, but it's been fading in and out, like it's been buried within her and she hasn't unlocked her own potential yet. But if she hasn't identified her own chakra then she couldn't possibly have sensed Sasuke, Sakura and Naruto's chakra signatures, which were very obvious and I should probably teach them how to conceal it better...
But if she's not using her own chakra, then she wouldn't recognise others chakra signatures, and you usually have to be at a chunin level to have a chance at fully concealing and sensing chakra anyway. It was too dark up there for her to see them, too noisy in the street to hear that far away, and my team may be idiots but they do have some ability to keep quiet, even Naruto... some of the time... So how did she know she was being watched?
I looked down at her from the corner of my eye as I guided her to our booth that Guy was saving for us. Almost as soon as I looked at her she looked back up at me. She can tell. She did it almost the whole walk to my apartment, she can sense when someone's watching. She's not even a genin, could she have been trained to be able to sense it? Or did it just develop? She is my daughter, after all.
When we reached our table, Guy slid over on his side of the booth to make room for Kida. Without a second hesitation, she continued to the other side of the table and slid onto the seat across from him instead. The sound of shattering glass came from his chest as his toothy grin faltered slightly and a blue shiver went through him.
After recovering from his moment of despair, he looked up at me expectantly and patted the seat next to him suggestively. Needless to say, I followed Kida and slid into the seat next to her. Guy's face hit the table causing Kida to visibly flinch, but her face remained expressionless.
When Guy's head resurfaced, a wide grin was plastered to his face that completely contradicted against the red swelling that was showing on his forehead from being smashed into the wooden table between us.
While Guy tried to make conversation with Kida from across the table, I signalled a waitress to take our orders. While we waited, Kida kept glancing out the window next to our table, which no doubt had something to do with the three genin who's chakra signatures I've been following as they'd been circling the restaurant. Since Kida was looking out the window, I'm assuming that they can see us through it from their new position on the roof on the other side of the side street.
Sakura's POV
We'd repositioned ourselves on the roof of another building on the other side of one of the side streets that went around the restaurant. I'd followed Sasuke around the building a couple of times before we spotted them through the window next to the table that they were now sitting at. Naruto was glaring past me at Sasuke through the darkness with a pouting face, he must be annoyed that we'd been following Sasuke lead, but it's not like he was stepping up to take charge, and Sasuke's much more capable than he is.
I glanced back over at Sasuke to find him staring intently through the window at 'Kida'. I don't know why this made me feel angry, it's not like he'd be interested in her or anything. She broke his nose! There'd be no way! ...She is sort of pretty though...
I looked back through the window in time to see their food being placed in front of them... by a short blonde waiter... in a black apron covering his bright orange track suit and large, black framed glasses with an attached, overly large plastic nose.
Naruto. You. Idiot.
Naruto's POV
This is brilliant! There's no way they're gonna be able to tell it's me!
From this close I might be able to listen in on their conversation. Beat that Sausuke!
