carla feels a rush of adrenaline as his head snaps towards her directions, and with ever step he takes her pulse goes into overdrive. jordan on the other hand, feels as though he is floating, wanting to reach out and touch the beauty before him. he takes large strides across the barren courtyard, his eyes shining with happiness as he reaches closer.
carla cant quite comprehend whats happening, and the seeds of doubt are being planted in her mind. carla silently curses her impulsive side, but as soon as he reaches her, only stopping a couple feet in front of her, does she let go of all curses and doubts. she thinks she has amnesia as all her thoughts go silent while looks to jordan.
jordan feels breathless as he takes in carla, as the breath is knocked out of her when his kind face comes into view.
to any onlooker, the scene unfolding looked like something from right out of a movie. the snow was falling romantically around the pair, and their breaths mingled as they spoke. the snowflakes glittered in carlas wavy dark hair, and landed a top jordans navy beanie.

they spent a couple minutes standing together, in somewhat of an amicable awe, and exchanged a few words before jordan and carla wrapped their arms around each other, hiding their smiles.
they eventually untangle themselves, their wide smiles no longer hidden. their touches linger as jordan points in a direction, saying a couple words, before carla nods in agreement.
the walk out of sight, where they spend hours talking to each other and drinking everything in. it ends before they want it to, and as they depart, the memories from the day transpire in their minds. those happy moments play on repeat, keeping smiles on their faces. little did they know, this frigid and silent world they created would crash around them in flames.
