Tonight we we're going to go to the town dressed like the local people and stay with them for a week.
We got dressed like the locals and sneaked out of the palace with Sumbul agha's help. Hümaşah Sultan was waiting for us outside fully covered so that no one will recognise her.
“May Allah be with you two. Return safe.” She said before kissing Mehmed's forehead and giving a light squeeze on my hand and we nodded.
“Don't worry about us, Hümaşah. Just make sure nobody know our plan.” Mehmed said and Hümaşah nodded.
Mehmed kept me close to him as we walked throught the narrow road and headed towards the town. Four guards we're following us to make sure to keep us save.“Sumbul agha has found us a house to stay in but we have to cook and wash by ourself.” He said and I nodded.
That's not a problem for me. After all back at home, I use to cook and wash my clothes by myself. It's not a big deal.
Mehmed grabbed my hand and intertwined our fingers as we walk and I smiled.
“It feels so refreshing to walk at night.” I said and he nodded in agreement.
We were halfway in the middle of the forest when some people dressed in black clothes fully like the ninjas jumped out of nowhere surrounding us. I quickly took out my daggers that were strapped on my legs while Mehmed took out his sword.
The guards ran towards us before attacking the intrudes but we were outnumbered. We we're 8 including the royal guards and they were around 20 of them.
“I'm Şehzade Mehmed Khan. I order you to withdraw and I'll spare your life.” He roared at them as they rounded us.

“Spare our life Şehzade? Look at the arrogance of this Şehzade. He should be the one begging us to spare his life and here he is talking about sparing our life.” One of them said and they fell into a fit of laughter. Taking it as a chance, I stabbed two of them in the chest at once and kick the other one on the place where the sun doesn't rise. “Take that bitch.”
“Eh. . . what?” Mehmed asked and I shot him a seriously look before throwing my dagger at the person behind him.
“I'll tell you later if we survive.” I said and was about to go for my next kill when someone pulled me back from my scarf before wrapping it around my neck and chocking me. He stabbed my on my arm when I tried to hit him with my elbow and I cried out in pain.
Mehmed noticed that and rushed towards me before slitting the throat of guy who was chocking me. I let out a heavy breath and cough.
“Are you alright?” Mehmed asked worriedly and I nodded. Suddenly more and more people came running towards from both side. Without thinking twice, I grabbed his hand and ran inside the forest.
“They are getting away. Kill them. Make sure they don't make it out of here alive.” One of the shouted and they started running towards us.
It was really difficult to run in this heavy dress and with the injured arm but I have to no matter what. I want to live.
We ran deeper and deeper into the forest and at these point we were lost. We we're stuck in the middle of nowhere with assassins after us to kill us.
“Mehmed what are we going to do?” I asked him as we stopped to breath.

“We have to find a shelter. The guards will find us by tomorrow until then we have to hide ourself from those assassins.” He said as he grabbed my hand and started walking. “I know this place. If we walk a little more, we'll reach the town and there we can find food and shelter.”
I hissed in pain and stopped walking and he also stopped. “What happened?” He asked.
His gaze landed on my arm and he gently grabbed my arm before examining it. He took out his handkerchief from his pocket before wrapping it around my injured arm and I hissed making him freeze. “I'm sorry.” He said but I shook my head.
“It's fine.”
“No. I'm sorry for landing you in this situation. They were after me, not you. If I left you back in the palace, you could have been safe there. It's all my fault. I'm sorry.” He said with so much regret and guilt that I almost wanted to cry and I don't know why.
I cupped his face with both my palm before kissing the tip of his nose. “It's not your fault, Mehmed. And I would have come after you even if you left me in the palace. Why should I let you have all the fun alone?”
He let out a light chuckled before peaking my lips. “Of course, you could have. My crazy Sultana.” He said and I scowled at him but didn't reply. He kissed my forehead for the last time before we started heading towards the town.
And like Mehmed said, we soon reached the town that was still crowded with people busy buying and selling things even when it was late at night. We stopped at one store and Mehmed bought us some food and water.
He gave me a glass of water to drink and I drank the half before handing him the half and he drank it without thinking twice which really surprised me. If anyone from the royal family see's this, they'll be so shocked and will throw another fit about it.
Suddenly I started to feel dizzy and the last thing I remember is falling into the arms of Mehmed before blacking out.
