----- Ash PoV ---

"Mom, the egg you gave is hatching!!" I called out.

The two eggs which Dragonite and Magmar gave had already hatched. But this egg was taking the longest time. Last three months Gary and I are going to professor's lab and are learning things about pokemon. The egg professor gave to Gary had hatched a week ago. It was a Eevee egg. Since then we are training Dratini, Magby, and both Eevees. Pidgeot has been a good help in their training. Since professor gave me pokeballs to capture pokemons who want to be with me. I've caught Eevee, Dratini, Magby, Pidgeot and Scyther. Pidgeot and Scyther are busy protecting home all day as if they are guards. I still don't understand why??

I snapped out of my thoughts as the egg started to glow. A cute little pokemon was at the place of egg. Still having more than half of its shell. Star like head, for holes just enough to move hands and legs.

"Togi?? Torii" ''

"Hi, I am Ash. I am your friend, and soon to be your trainer."

"Togi! Togi togi turrii!" ''

"Alright! Let me take you to our other friends. But first I need you to go into this so that no one can separate us."

I touched togepi with my pokeball. It sucked it inside. It started to wobble

'ting'

"Alright togepi come out. How did you feel."

'It's so comfortable in side.'

"Glad you liked it. Now this is my mom, this is Eevee, Magby, Dratini, Pidgeot and Scyther. Scyther huh, mom where is Scyther??"

"He is outside. He was helping me with gardening."

"Alright mom we are playing outside. Come on guys."

---- time skip ---- no one's PoV

Ash was having dinner with his mom.

"Hey mom can we go to Rota next week"

"Huh..." 'Did he find out about Ilene?? But that's not possible. What will it be??' "Why do you want to go there honey??"

"I watched one of dad's match. It took place in Rota at some festival. And it's next week. So, I thought it would be a nice trip and I will also be able to see more pokemon, and pokemon battle."

"Oh, my enthusiastic boy is hungry for adventure and visiting new places huh?? Sure, we can go."

"Thank you so much mom. Yay guys we are going to Rota next week."

"Sweetie first finish your dinner."

"I've finished it mom."

"Take good care of togepi. She is still baby. And make sure she goes to sleep."

"Right mom. Good night."

"Good night. Huh I don't know how many days are goanna pass like this, but eventually he'll know the truth about who she is, and who he is."

---- time skip ---- 1-week Ash PoV

"Wake up Ash, Prof. and Gary are also coming. They'll be here any minute. Hurry up."

"I'm already up and ready mom."

"Wow excited to go on trip."

"Come Prof. oak and Gary are waiting outside."

"Alright everyone except togepi return."

Outside of house Prof. and Gary were waiting in the car.

"Thank you prof. for coming with us." Said mom.

"No, it's my pleaser. I was thinking about having a break and freshen my mind. I know that Gary will also enjoy. To see more pokemon and battles."

----- Ash PoV ---

Oh, I'm so excited, this is the first time I'm going out of town. Every time mother wants to go grocery shopping or something, she always sends me either to Gary's house or to Prof's lab.

It's so nice feeling the fresh air. We were going through the jungle. I can see many pokemon out there I just can't wait to start my own journey to become a pokemon master and to find dad.

I looked up at the sky. 'I promise you dad that I'll find you no matter where you are. And I'm gonna make those people pay for taking you away from us.'

The rest for the wasn't at all eventful. It was just boring to sit at one place and see out of the window to see many pokemon happily enjoying sunlight or playing with each other.

We finally reached Rota.

"Look at the palace mom! It's huge!"

"Yeah it is honey. Come on we want to see the festival battles, right?" 'What do you know someday you will be living in there by yourself' she thought to herself.

The festival was huge. Roads were filled with crowd and there were many stalls of food. We walked to the center where the battles where gonna take place.

I and Gary were so excited that we started pulling prof. and mom towards the front row seats. They just chuckled at our excitement. After a few battles it was time for the final. The winner was named as the next Aura Guardian till the next festival of next year.

Final battle

"Ladies and Gentleman this is the final match between Lance and Chris.

Each trainer will use 1 Pokémon moves such as 'baton pass' are not allowed. Trainers please bring out your first Pokémon." Referee said.

"Tyranitar stand by for battle."

"Tyranitar huh? Alright Venusaur let's do this."

"Tyranitar let's start with stone edge."

Tyranitar stomped on the ground and shone started to rise in front of him in straight line.

"Venusuar vine whip to destroy them."

Some vines came from underneath the flower of Venusaur and destroyed the rocks forming in front of him. As the rocks were shattered, he saw that Tyranitar has charging a hyper beam.

"Unleash it." Lance commanded.

A big beam of energy was making its way towards Venusaur.

"Venusuar use leach seed on Tyranitar."

Just before Venusaur was hit with hyper beam it shot a seed towards Tyranitar. Tyranitar wasn't able to dodge the seed as he was recovering for using a power full attack. Seed touched Tyranitar's head and vines came out of it, which started to drain Tyranitar's energy.

On the other side the smoke was clearing. It revealed a panting and badly wounded Venusaur.

"All right Venusaur time to finish this. Sunny day into solarbeam." Chris told his Pokémon.

"Tyranitar use flamethrower." Lance shouted.

"Fire!!" both trainers exclaimed.

Both attacks collided, which created a big explosion. When the field was cleared it revealed Venusuar with swirling eyes.

"Venusuar is unable to continue, which means Tyranitar and Lance are the victors."

Soon after the announcement, Tyranitar fell on the ground. Leach seed drained a lot of energy from him. Both trainers returned their respected Pokémon thanking them for their assistance.

Lance's POV

I returned Tyranitar and started walking towards Chris

"That was a good battle Chris."

"Yes, but my Venusaur wasn't strong enough to beat your Tyranitar."

"Well it wasn't going to be easy I am not Johto champion for nothing."

"Guess your right but next time I am going to win."

"I will be waiting."

------Time Skip------

I was in the Cameran palace. The rituals were over.

I was wearing my aura guardian outfit then I saw two boys coming at me.

Both of them had spiky hear. One was wearing a t-shirt which had a picture of Squirtle. He had brown hair, and black eyes. Other one had messy raven hair, and had auburn eyes. Both reminded me of my old friends who defeated me for Kanto Championship.

"Umm... Mr. Lance can we have a talk with you?? and we also want a picture with you to remind about today." The raven-haired boy said.

"Sure, come here." After taking picture I asked "Do you like Pokémon??"

"Yeah we love them. They are awesome." Said the other boy wearing Squirtle t-shirt

"Umm... Mr. Lance I've seen you battle which took place nearly 8 years ago. With a trainer named Red. Do you know where he is? Or when is he going to come back??" said the messy haired boy

"You know about Red huh... I see that you have seen quite a few battles from past. But why do you want to know where he is??"

"Well you see... It's been 7 years since he left. Mom is always worried about him. So, I've decided to find him when I start my journey. I asked Blue but he doesn't have any idea."

"Who are you kid??"

"Oops... Sorry we didn't introduce ourselves I am the one and only Gary Blue Oak. And this is Ash Red Ketchum."

"Drop your ego Gary. You are talking with a champion."

"So, your Blue and Red's kids. That's why you looked so familiar. Sorry but"

I was interrupted with a familiar woman.

"Sorry Lance. I hope they didn't cause any trouble. And why did you run of like that I and professor were worried sick."

"No worries Delia they didn't do anything."

"Mom you know Lance??" asked Ash.

"He is friend of both of your fathers."

---- Ash PoV ----

Mom, Prof, and Lance were chatting when suddenly I heard a voice in my head.

'Pick the staff'

"What? Did you say something Gary?"

"Nothing I was just admiring Lance's Tyranitar"

"Ok-ay"

'Pick the staff'

I didn't know what to do so I touched the staff. The crystal on it suddenly started glowing. This caused everyone to turn their attention towards me. Some kind of light escaped from the crystal. There stood a black and blue pokemon who had it's eyes closed.

'Why did you do it?'

'Why did you betray the kingdom?'

'Why did you abandon me?'

"A-a Lucario. What did just happen? Who abandoned you?"

Lucario jumped in front of me. And slowly opened his eyes. Everything around me started swirling. My vision started to get darken.

---- 3rd Person PoV ---

Ash fell on the ground unconscious.

Queen Ilene came running there to see what was happening.

"Delia, when did you come here?"

"It's not the time Ilene I'll tell you later. First we need to check Ash."

They took away Ash in a room. In room there were Prof., Delia, Gary, Lance, Ilene and Lucario.

"So, is he my nephew?? He looks so much like Red." Ilene asked.

"Well yes he is. But you rather look like an elder sister for him."

"Well I guess that looks like. I would love it if he calls me sister. So, what happened to him??"

"I was talking with lance when I suddenly saw a bright light. When I looked towards the source, I saw that Ash was holding hat Aura Guardian staff. Then some kind of light came out of it which transformed into Lucario."

Then Ilene turned towards Lucario to speak but she saw him lying unconscious on the floor.

------ meanwhile with Ash and Lucario ----- Ash PoV

I was in a white room. It looked familiar to me. Then I remembered the time I met Arceus. I was in the same room. What was it? Yeah, the 'Hall of Origin'!

Then I felt some kind of presence near me. Looked to see the Lucario from before. The there was a flash and I saw Arceus standing before us.

"Lord Arceus!" Lucario bowed in front of her.

"Well Ash I see you listened to voice."

"So, that was you who told me pick the staff. But what was with the light that flashed from the crystal?"

"Remember the time I told you that you will understand your powers. You have the aura Ash. And not only that you also have psychic powers. It's time you should learn to harness them."

Then she turned to Lucario.

"Lucario, you were trained by Sir Aaron so I want you to train Ash. And also become his Pokémon."

"Sorry my lord but I don't think that I can trust any human after what he did to me." He stated with anger.

"Lucario it's not what you think. You were temporarily blinded because of those Houndooms' sandattack. Sir Aaron sacrificed himself for the greater good of humans and Pokémon. He went to the tree of beginning and lend all his Aura to it. He was a great human you should not talk about him this way."

She paused for few moments and let the information sink into Lucario.

"it's been more than hundred years since that incident. World has changed. You will help Ash learn his power. After you get your consciousness go to the Tree of the Beginning. Mew will be there. She will give something to help Ash harness his Psychic powers. I am giving you the job of teaching and protecting Ash. I hope you will not disappoint me."

With that she left. And everything went blank again.

----- in reality ---- Still Ash PoV ----

I slowly opened my eyes. I saw that I was laying on a comfortable bed. I was in room. When I looked around, I saw that mom was talking with someone. When my vision cleared, I saw that it was the queen herself. Then it clicked me that I must be in one of the rooms in the palace. They looked at me; maybe because the noise that I caused.

"You alright Ashy??"

"Yes, I'm alright mom. I'm sorry for what I have caused your majesty." said trying be polite and guilty of my action.

"It's alright brother. Besides you help Lucario come out of that staff."

"Oh. Thank you for your kindness.... Wait what? Brother?"

"Well you see Ash Ilene here is your father's sister, which means technically your aunt. But she is rather young and thought that aunt feels rather distant. So, she decided to call you brother."

"Thanks, sister I guess?? So, mom you say that we are from the royal family?"

"Yes Ash, Prof., Blue, Daisy, Lance all know about it. And Gary got to know that today."

"Wow, he must have been freaked out. Man, I wish I was able to see his face."

"That's enough let's go to have dinner. It's getting pretty late."

We went into dinning room; where we were greeted by Prof., Gary and Lance.

Lucario was with me. We all sat at the table. Lucario noticed everyone's faces.

'I guess you all have some questions that need to be answered. And before you ask, I'm speaking with you using telepathy.' Lucario said.

'I came out of the staff because ash has aura. It's kind of similar to sir Aaron's so I kind of confused him with sir Aaron. But his power is much more than sir Aaron's. He fainted because he doesn't know how to control it yet. Tomorrow I'll take him to Mew at tree of the beginning. Then we will start our training.

And one more thing; what happened today will not go outside this room. We don't want anyone trying to kidnap Ash'

Everyone was silent for a few moments. I decided to break it.

"Hey Lance can we play with you Pokémon??"

"Not today Ash it's already late. You are exhausted, so you'll go and sleep." Mom interrupted.

"but can I at least be with Lucario. I want to hear about his adventures, and what exactly happened. Please..." I made puppy eyes.

"Alright. You and Gary will share a room with all other Pokémon. And don't stay up for a long time."

"Alright goodnight and love you mom." I gave her a hug. And I ran to the room I was earlier with Gary and Lucario. I heard Lance asking about other Pokémons. Lucario was telling about what happened. I didn't even know when I slept.
