《MLB Medieval Diaries》A Cat in Love

"Haha! You tricked him?" Chat laughed.
"Yep!"
"And he fell for it?"
"I know! It was so unbelievable." Ladybug replied.
They went on, laughing and chatting. And as they talked, Lady Mouche could see the way the cat's eyes would light up every time he heard his lady laugh. It was cute. Watching them. She observed Chat's body language and the way he would react to certain things. For example, whenever Ladybug would suddenly grow eager to share a story, Chat seemed to listen with all his heart and soul. He was falling for her. It was obvious.
"Don't forget our deal!" An evil voice sounded in Lady Mouche's head. I won't.
*Chat POV*
So fascinating this girl. She really was amazing! The way she managed to get away.... So cool!
But what about Marinette?!
Oh no...
But my heart has fallen for Ladybug! It fell for Marinette first!
My heart felt like it was being pulled apart. Marinette was kind, cheeky, quirky, and so fun to be around. But Ladybug was smart, amazing and brave! How could this happen...? No! I do have stronger feelings for Marinette! I will stay faithful and loyal. With that, my attraction for the spotted hero were suppressed to the point I didn't have them any longer. When we got to the village I turned to say goodbye to my friend. I gave Lady Mouche a friendly smile as I turned to hand Ladybug the woman's akumatised anklet.
In an instant the akuma had taken the anklet and clasped it around her ankle.
"HAHAHA! Stupid cat! Didn't anybody ever teach you not to trust akumas? I stay loyal to the person who gave me these powers!
As soon as the evil intentions rose in Amorie, Ladybug was in a fighting stance with her yo-yo in hand.

"GAH!" Ladybug and I gasped in unison. The woman had released green goo from her mouth which pinned us against a house.
Hearing the ruckus, the owner of the home angrily made his way to check on the noise. Seeing the situation, he quickly turned and ran far off into the village. More people realized the situation and ran with him as his screams attracted their attention.
Pinned against the wall, I grew hopeless, but the spotted girl wasn't nearly finished. Using her yo-yo, she swung it around a thick tree and tried to pull herself out. When that seemed to fail, she called on her lucky charm.
*Ladybug POV*
"Lucky Charm!" I called out.
I swung my yo-yo in the air for it to provide me with..
"A pine cone..?" Really? What was Tikki thinking?
"That's what your going to fend her off with?" Chat asked sassily. I gave him my not right now look.
I had no idea what to do with the object. Why a pine cone? As I observed it, I noticed a very strong pine smell emitting from it. Ugh. I was fine with the smell of pine, but this is way too strong!
The akuma was starting to walk over to us with an out reached hand. "Don't worry," she teased. "Your miraculouses will be safe in the hands of Hawkmoth!"
"Ladybug! If she touches us, we get absorbed and she gains power!" Chat called out worriedly.
She was so close now. I could touch her if I wanted to. Desperately hoping for some reaction, I hastily threw the pine cone at the akuma. One whiff and she grew sick. The smell of pine was so strong, I was starting to feel dizzy. Lady Mouche was very distracted by the smell. She quickly fled the scene.

By now, the goo had hardened and Chat easily broke it by extending his baton. We were released, but we were wasting time and I quickly swung around the village trying to find the villain; Chat following close behind me.
It was easy finding the akuma since she was completely stopped in the middle of the road. Thank goodness there weren't many carriages and horse riders passing through today.
I swung down and called out to the woman.
"Back down akuma! Don't let Hawkmoth control you by your anger!" I called to her, but she seemed transfixed on something else.
"M'lady." Chat said out of breath. He quickly realized the situation and we both stood confused as to what could have captured the woman's attention. A man.
He stood a few yards away and seemed to be enjoying himself with a woman.
"That might be her husband.." Chat whispered to me. Seeing my confused face, he elaborated, "supposedly, her husband was involved in outside affairs with other women." Poor Amorie. But still, we needed to release her akuma and return her back to her-self.
What?! I hadn't noticed my time running out.
"Chat! How much time do I have left?"
"Two minutes m'lady." He informed me after glancing at my earrings.
Ok. I just needed to grab the anklet while she was distracted.
Wasting no time, I jumped at the anklet and easily broke it off.
This seemed to release the woman from her trance and she gasped in horror at the sight of her broken jewelry.
"Nooo!" She gaped.
I quickly captured the purple butterfly, which was desperately trying to fly away, in my yo-yo.
"Bye bye petite papillon!"
I retrieved the pine cone and threw it in the air, "Miraculous Ladybug!"
Ladybugs were released and zoomed around the village to fix the damage. They swirled around Amorie and left her back to her normal self.
She glanced around confused. At once, she and her husband locked eyes.
"Amorie?" The man asked. He walked over to her and knelt down beside her. The woman with him looked troubled, but she kept her distance and walked off. Amorie's face grew troubled. The woman didn't know what to make of the situation.
I decided to intervene, I cautiously walked over to her husband and briefly explained.
"Hello sir. Your wife believes you are having affairs with other women. Because of this, she was akumatised." I told him. "She has no memory of her being a villain, so she doesn't know what happened."
The man nodded and a small smile formed on his face. "Thank you Ladybug. I'll take care of her."
He pulled Amorie to her feet and whispered to her quietly. Her face went from solemn to cheerful She must've misunderstood her husbands doings I thought or he promised to change. However, this was none of my business.
After a few moments, the pair shared their thanks and walked off.
I looked over at Chat.
*Chat's POV*
"Chat? You okay kitty-cat?" Ladybug asked me with a small laugh. Her sweet voice! And her beautiful laugh. Yep....I was in love with this girl, whoever she was under the mask.

Ravyn's Nights - Book 2
Claire's life led her to love. Love led her to death. Death began her eternal struggle to retain both her love and her humanity through 5 centuries of endless nights. Book 2 covers the 18th century. "Ravyn's Nights" is a six book series, with each book covering a different century. Book 6 was actually started first, and it takes place in the near future, bringing the story to a final conclusion. I then started writing the rest of the series when I decided that I wanted to share the details of the life that made her into who she is in Book 6. At the time of posting the first chapter of the series, books 1-2-3 are completed and books four, five and six are in various states of completion. There is currently a novella following a side character that does include a few crossover chapters featuring the main character. The novella will be included in the completed versions of books 4 and 5.

A Sky of Star and Strength
Jake was just an intelligent kid living a pretty regular life in Mill Creek, Washington. Then the apocalypse happens. Now with his Dad out of the country and totally in yet out his element, this is his story. My take on a system apocalypse based around "life force" as a currency. The main character will have a special power (as will most of the other characters) and be rather OP, you have been warned. Like many of the authors on this site I have no formal writing experience so writing tips and grammar corrections are much appreciated :)
