The tree, they set in the great room, its lights aglow and twinkling. Kelty smiled. It was a great comfort to see her gift put to use.

"This is some sort of... sorcery, is it not?" the widow said in wonder. "But what of God and wickedness?"

Nico smiled.

"Whom do you suppose sent such a miracle?"

At this, the widow smiled, and her baby fell asleep in her arms.

"The only wicked thing here is that cough, but I think your children should be safe now. The light shines in the darkness, yes?"

"And darkness has not overcome it," she answered.

Nico smiled.

"We'll go now. Rest, and tomorrow perhaps you'll join us for a feast."
