Tristen p.o.v

I entered the conference room to see everyone present there except Jade .

" Has anyone called Ms Petrikas yet? " I asked as I sat down on my chair and opened my coat button.

" Yes sir , I just did " My secretary stood up . " She said she is on the way " she informed me I nodded .

I tap my thumb together furiously as I glance at the clock . It's been half an hour since I came here and she hasn't come here yet. The height of unprofessional behaviour " we all are waiting for her like a fool . I took a deep breath as I tried to calm my anger. Everyone was quiet and scared so there was pin drop silence . The tension was thick in the air as everyone was stealing glances at me . I am not going to leave her. I excuse myself from our team members. I walked toward the hallway of the grand hotel. It's already made but we have to design and decorate everything from colors to marble. Now it's looking nothing but stone and bricks but we have to give this hotel a life which will be possible when that girl will come on time.

I walked toward the hallway and glanced at my wrist watch before I could look up and suddenly someone collided with me. And about to fall but I grab her waist and prevent her from falling, and the girl was none other than Jade. .

Jade p.o .v

An unknown emotion swirl in his eyes as I almost saw the old Tristen whom I used to call my best friend .

We slowly stand up with an awkward silence.

"What's the time now ??" He glared at me crossing his arms .

"Mmmm.... why don't you have a watch "I said, raising my eyebrow.

"Listen Miss Petrikas don't dare to act smart, you know you are late and this is not acceptable at all" He said, totally pissed off by me. If looks could kill I would have been dead by now.

"Sorry " I shrugged my shoulders casually like nothing happened and walked away from him as far as I could because I am hell scared right now.

Tristen p.o.v

"What the hell!!" I turned around watching her almost run away. She was half an hour late and all she said was sorry. I clenched my fist in anger. But after our little encounter I don't know why I feel like that after so many years I felt like this. Indeed she has grown very to be very beautiful and attra- shut up Tristen I pushed the thought and went to the meeting.

After the meeting Jade and me divided the team and they start working. All the time she was not making eye contact with me. But why the hell I don't know that irritating me. She is trying her best to avoid my eyes .

I don't hate her, I was just punishing her for leaving me like that. She left me when I needed her most. Whatever Jennifer did to me crashed my whole world . I totally changed that loving Tristen died and a heartless Tristen was born. A new Tristen who was rude, heartless and the most I slept with every girl because I am not like the old Tristen one woman man only. I am a player.

JADE P.O.V

I entered my car but to my disappointment and luck it was not starting .

What the hell I tried again but it won't budge . I slam the steering wheel in annoyance . everybody already left so there is no point in taking a lift . I took my car keys and went outside thinking about taking a taxi but as soon as I saw the sky my mood changed and I wanted to walk home. The sky was grey and musk filled the cold night air . I stared at the sky trying to look for the moon but it was nowhere to be seen. Dark cold filled the night . I shivered as the cold air hit my body. It looked like it was about to rain heavily . a smile appeared on my lips as the droplet of water started hitting my face . I breathed the cold air as I felt free . I giggled as I started walking to my house feeling the rain but all my happiness went down the drain when I held men laughing . they look possibly drunk ...

I held my coat tightly and looked down hoping to pass them without any problem but one of the men held my wrist making me look at him terrified.

'' Sweetheart going somewhere '' he gazed at me lustfully, making my heart stop in fear.
