Athena's POV

As I went back to Jacob's laptop, I saw that along with the article, were various pictures. There were many pictures of Max with this gorgeous woman. Oh so she must be the ex-girlfriend. As I read the article, I got to know that her name is Amanda Reed. She looks perfect. I mean she has the perfect body, the perfect smile and from what I'm reading she is from a rich family and she is a model.

They are from the same social status and they look like they are made for each other. Looking at their photos, I felt a little pinch in my heart. I continued to read the article when I saw a title about her reaction to Max's new 'Fiance'. She basically said that she was happy for Max's new life. And that she already moved on from him which I don't know why made me feel relived. I mean if she was going against me to get Max, well I'm sure she would win without any efforts.

I was so absorbed in the screen in front of me that I was completely startled when I heard something vibrating but I ignored it and decided that I had my dose of pain for the day. "What pain are you talking about," I said to myself as I scowled at my messed up feelings. "I should be feeling nothing about him," I said to myself.

After closing Jacob's laptop, I went downstairs to join the boys. Eros was having the time of his life in the pool. We are both the same, we love swimming. "Don't you wanna swim Delia," Dereck asked me as he swam on his back. "No I'm good. I haven't brought a swimsuit," I said and he gave a sad face. What a baby!

"Do you want me to make you guys cookies," I asked and Jacob excited nodded. Well what can I say, everyone loves my cookies. "Make a lot," Dereck said as he emerged from the water. "Do you want my special ones are just chocolate chip," I asked and they all yelled the special ones. The special ones were the ones stuffed with marshmallows and everyone was obsessed with it.

"Hey do you need help," Jacob said as he came into the room. "Oh Jayjay just take a seat and watch the magic happen," I said as I threw a bit of flour at him. "You dumdum," he screamed, making me laugh. "You are adorable," I said as I continued mixing the contents of the bowl.

"So Jayjay, tell me a bit about the vacation, oh and the mystery woman you met," I said as I wiggled my eyebrows at him. He chuckled at my statement. "Yea well the trip was amazing and I swear you needed to be there. You would have loved it," Jacob said making me shake my head. "You know I don't like when you guys spend your hard earned money on me," I said making him roll his eyes.

"Delia, we want to spend that money on you. Plus it's not like we struggle to make money. We both have our own businesses which are thriving and we have our inherited business so you know where I'm going with this," he said and I sighed. "I just can't take money from you guys. Anyways can you carry on with the story please," I said and he nodded.

"So yea I met this woman, her name is Crystal Reed. She is the first woman who ever made me feel those new sensations through my body. And well I realized that I'm in love with her. We met there at a party. She immediately caught my eyes as she came into the room. You know it's just crazy that she was so pretty and seemed so nice. I was immediately drawn to her. So I used my contacts and got some information about her and then took her on a few dates which was very difficult to get her to agree at first. Nevertheless it was so easy to fall for her and I hope that she fell for me too," he said, making me look at him in aww. "Jayjay boy, you are sooooo in love," I said as I pinched his cheeks. He looked at me, pretending to be mad.

"When are you going to introduce me to her," I asked him curiously. "Whenever you want Delia," he said as he squeezed my cheeks. "When are you gonna be done," Jacob whined as I was placing the cut out dough on the baking sheet. "What a whiny baby," I said as I chuckled. He gasped and pretended to be offended. I heard a click and when I looked up, I saw that Jacob took a picture of me. "Let me see," I said as I finished putting the baking sheets filled with cookies.

"Send them to me, they are cute," I said as I grabbed a glass of water. As I was drinking, I reached down to my pocket to grab my phone when I didn't find it. It probably is in Jacob's room. "So when are you going back to work," I asked him as I handed him the apple juice that he asked for. "Probably next week when my dad will be tired replacing me," he said. Just then, Eros and Dereck joined us in the kitchen.

"Oh man the cookies smell divine," Dereck said as he placed a kiss on my cheek. "Oh thank you sir. It is filled with love," I said as I went to check on the cookies. "Oh Delia why don't you stay over today," Dereck said, making me smile. "Oh yeah that would be great," I said as I suddenly thought of Max for some unknown reasons. I should let him know that I'm not coming back today.

"I'm going to grab my phone and I'll be back," I said as I went to Jacob's room. After a few minutes of searching, I found it in the corner of the bed. Thank goodness that it didn't fell behind the bed. I turned the screen on and was instantly surprised to see that I had a few missed calls from Max and some messages from him. For a minute, I got worried that something might have gone bad.

I quickly dialed his number without looking at the messages. After the a few rings, he picked up. "Athena," I heard him scream from the other end of the cord, making me take the phone away from my ear. "Why are you screaming," I said as I was truly confused. "Why am I screaming you ask? Well you have been missing since the morning and you are asking me why I'm SCREAMING," he said in a frustrated tone. "Just relax," I said rolling my eyes. "What? Relax? You went out without security. God forbid, something would have happened. Unbelievable," he said making me want to bang my head against the wall. "Stop exaggerating things," I said still confused to why he was freaking out like that.

"I couldn't get a hold of you since the morning so no I'm not exaggerating anything. Anyways where are you," he said making me scoff. "I'm at my friends' house and I'll be staying over. That's why I called. So don't wait for me," I said as I made my way downstairs. "Um," he said coldly. I frowned at his response "Max," I said feeling a bit guilty for getting him worried. "Yea What," he said dryly. "I'm sorry that I made you worry about me for no reason. I'll see you tomorrow," I said and quickly hung up the phone.

Max can be very infuriating sometimes but it doesn't leave me indifferent that he was worried about my whereabouts. He actually cares about me in a way. I couldn't help but smile at that thought as it made me happy on the inside.
