《The Man Between The Pages {Jikook} [completed]》~Crossing paths with the Devil~

''Everyone's a bad in someone's story.
The devil was once an angel so
be careful, don't trust easily.
yet you decided to cross paths with the Devil.
You are a fool.
Why do you desire the things that are most certainly
going to destroy you in the end?
And never forget.
He might have the face of an angel, a real charmer, a dashing existence.
What if he has the thoughts of a devil, chains and lechery?''.
been five days and the younger looked like a withered medlar. He didn't pick up any calls because oddly, somehow everything reminded him of a certain blond man. Taehyung was the one who brought him to his residence in the first place. Jin was the one who actuated him to write a monologue. So he just ate, slept and repeated his actions. His notes were locked in a cupboard yet the drawer in his head was filled with thoughts that unfortunately couldn't be erased.
What could he be doing now? Who could he be thinking of? Why didn't he call him?
Instead of being thankful that Jimin was making his job easier, he prayed that the older could give him a call. He had figured out that he had to write down the time and Jimin's name in order for something to come to life. However he had promised to himself that he would never speak about this whole incident again.
The rain was hitting his windows like the thoughts that were flogging his mind and Jungkook was contemplating if he should open the drawer of his desk or not. He tried- he really tried- to forget about the walking temptation and grabbed his typewriter tightly. Bringing the machine to his knees, he allowed his imagination to run in the deepest jungles of his mind only to find timorous thoughts and scattered ideas.
His eyes averted to a paper filled with sexual dialogue. These were just random thoughts that his characters would have in the book yet it would be a lie to say that Jungkook wasn't tempted to try them in real life. However he took the small page and locked in his last drawer promising to himself never to use it against Jimin.
Nothing made sense in his head. Neglecting Jin's call, he unlocked his cupboard and brought all of the other files on the wooden surface of his desk. Messy notes and incoherent sentences, thoughts all over the place and only one name that made sense.
''Screw this shit'' he cursed, grabbing a random paper and quickly wrote down the familiar name. If his calculations were right, Jungkook could probably write ''Park Jimin and I will make out'' and it would come to life. However, Jungkook felt as if he was exploiting the male for his own personal needs so he decided against this solution.

But meeting him once again wouldn't hurt anyone, right?
Bringing him to his house again seemed like a weird demand so he simply scrawled '' Park Jimin and Jeon Jungkook will accidentally cross paths at...'' he checked his watch, ''...at one o'clock''. Praying that this was enough, since he actually sacrificed the coziness of his own residence just to get outside and meet him, Jungkook picked a random coat and threw it on himself only to realize afterwards that he was still wearing his pajamas.
Laughing at his eagerness to see the boy once again, he ran upstairs to pick a somewhat presentable outfit neglecting the small light that flickered once again.
It's twelve- fifty five and Jungkook's hands were sweating faster than when he worked out. Sitting on a bench very close to the intersection which was separating his small city from Jimin's one, Jungkook curled his fists, a frequent habit that appeared whenever he felt that things weren't in his favour.
He knew that Jimin must have a great excuse to appear near the crossroads, although Jungkook knew that he would be responsible for bringing him. Well, not exactly him but his silver-tongued writing. To his dismay, not even a single black car stopped at the red light and the moving of the hands on his wristwatch was bringing him anxiety...It was one o'clock and Jimin was nowhere to be seen.
Thinking that all this situation was merely a twisted game of extremely potential coincidences, thinking that he was never controlling Jimin's movements, Jungkook stood up and began to breath heavily. Ready to make his way back home, he saw the familiar blond observing him from afar. His forehead puckered from astonishment yet a smile began to form on the corners of his lips when he saw the older man rolling his fingers through his messy golden locks.
Jimin crossed the street carefully and slowly approached the author with a sterling smile. Taking one of his hands out of his pockets, the older brought it forward and patiently waited for Jungkook to realize what was going on. The younger hesitantly reciprocated the gesture, feeling the cold, metal rings coming in contact with his bare palm.
''Hi Kook'' he said with a smirk on his lips.
''What are you doing here?'' Jungkook asked and shed a quick glance on his watch. Jimin was five minutes late.
''A hello would be more polite, don't you think?'' the older questioned.
''Hello... What time did you come here?''.
''At one...Isn't this a weird question though?'' Jimin laughed hearing the other male.
''Yeah...it is indeed. It's....It's been a while, how are you?'' Jungkook questioned in a desperate attempt to divert the discussion elsewhere.
''I wanted to call you so I could return your book...But let's say I didn't want you to think of me as clingy. Plus, you didn't call me either...I literally spent a night at your place and you didn't even thank me for the breakfast I made you. Should I be offended?'' he spoke in a rapid manner.

''Do you always speak that fast?''.
''Don't change the subject Kook'' he stated.
''I didn't call you because I find this whole thing weird. I mean I am not really sociable when it comes to meeting new people but with you...it feels like I could have endless conversations and I find it odd. I know you for a week''.
''But you said that you know me too well'' Jimin muttered and arched an eyebrow.
''I...Fuck, I need a big cup of coffee'' Jungkook chuckled.
''I was about to buy some tea for myself too but I will tell you what...I have a car and coffee at my place. Are you in or not?'' he questioned and raised his eyebrows.
And as if it was the most normal thing in the world- sharing a cup of coffee or in this case tea with a man you were actually writing about- Jungkook agreed with a smile.
''Sure Jimin'' he shrugged his shoulders and walked with him to his car.

Jimin's place was just like how Jungkook described it in his book. As time passed, Jungkook felt more and more as if he was living in a dream. The entire place was in shades of black and red and his living room consisted of velveteen armchairs and leather couches. The lights were vague and dim, a really suitable choice for the cold winter days. Everything smelt like lavender just like Jimin had previously told him. And everything, from the tiniest doily to the biggest carpet was clean and neat. Not a tiny speck of dust.
Jungkook felt a little awkward seeing the tidiness when he remembered that all his left shelves haven't been cleaned in ages.
''You can sit you know. Couches apparently have been made for this particular action'' Jimin cockily remarked receiving a chuckle from the younger.
''Everything is so freaking spick and span...I am afraid to touch anything! Do you get someone to clean the place?'' he inquired.
''Are you kidding? Why would I pay someone money when I can clean the place myself?'' he retorted.
''It seems like the place is untouched''.
''I clean it really frequently. And... here's your coffee'' he said and placed a small table mat on the wooden surface. ''And here's my tea''.
''With two small drops of rum?'' Jungkook remarked.
''Yes'' Jimin looked at him intensively, ''with two drops of rum''.

''I told you a hundred times Yoongi... You have nothing to be afraid of'' Jin reassured him.
''Tell me Jin...Why do I love frame -ups so much?'' he asked the older.
''Because you never get caught'' Jin retorted.
''I love when I hear you saying this. Say it again, say it again!'' he clapped his hands, the creepy calmness never leaving his voice.
''You never get caught'' the raven haired repeated.
With heavy steps coming in contrast to his light figure, Yoongi sat on Jin's lap and cupped his face with his hands, his thumb tracing the older's Adam's apple. It was his thing, you see.
''Did you place them everywhere?'' he questioned.
''We aren't amateurs Yoongi. Dilettantes have no place here'' Jin explained and patted his thigh.

''And then he said something about stocks which was totally irrelevant'' Jimin expressed and siped on his tea.
''Your company is being a bitch!'' Jungkook laughed.
''I know but it pays me well so I really can't complain''.
''Damn, can I join?'' Jungkook chuckled rather obnoxiously.
''Why would you say that? You are a writer...If I had the talent to produce books I would have quitted the company ages ago'' Jimin uttered.
''I haven't written anything good Jimin''.
''Shall I talk about ''the Shadows that bleed'' ? That book is absolutely my favourite!''.
''And it's the only one I have written. The past couple of years I am living with my late mother's assets and with the money I made from the book. I shall better find a job soon'' he complained and finished his beverage.
''Don't you have any new ideas? An adventure, maybe a romantic novel? Hey! You could write a book about me'' he mocked him and Jungkook almost choked on his own saliva. Damn Jimin...if only you knew.
''Romance? But I have never fallen in love, how am I suppose to express the emotions of the characters?''.
''You are a professional...I am sure you can describe them correctly. And how is that you have never fallen in love, may I ask?'' he muttered, the words rapidly escaping his cavern. Jungkook was wondering why Jimin was always speaking in such a fast speed.
''Never occured...Just sexual partners from time to time but nothing too significant. Let's say I haven't crossed paths with love yet'' Jungkook remarked.
''However, you crossed paths with me'' Jimin soughed.
''What?''.
''Nothing, nothing...I said nothing'' he claimed, with a small grin on his beautiful facial features.
*Taehyung mentions in a chapter that Jungkook had to be shy for the first time in his life whereas Jungkook says in this chapter that he isn't really sociable. What I mean here is that Jungkook can't make friends by himself= not sociable. However when someone else introduces a person to him, he is really good at starting conversations= not shy.

Super Sekken (An Action Shonen Story)
This is the author’s first story ever written. It may not be great, but do check it out, and I hope you enjoy! I’m currently working on its sequel. Hope. Courage. Self-value. Friends. These all were traits that former junior high soccer champion and first year Miyuki Sekken had none of until she first walked into the doors of her local High School. Despite being a sports athlete phenomenon in her school district, Miyuki dreaded its attention, and even quit her career in pursuit of living a simplistic daily routine. This daily routine would be inevitably interrupted when she chooses to 'branch out' by talking to people. Whether it be a chance of bad luck, fate, or karma, Sekken ends up speaking to someone who was unknowingly suffering from a curse: a curse that causes anyone who tries to get close to them to disappear. Miyuki Sekken would be the next victim, finding herself face-to-face against a once-thought mythical mafia. This gang is not just any gang either, but one who is run solely by the school students of Maguro High, who hold secrets to powers unheard of by the world. How will this first year survive? Will she conquer her anxiety and thwart the gang's vicious rule? Or will she end up losing more than she could have imagined? P.S. I am not a good drawer, so I use Picrews and photo editors to get the general idea for my characters' designs. Rights to the Picrews used go to their respective authors.

"Hi, angel."His voice was just as dead as his eyes. It sent a shiver up my spine. That was the reason I felt sick, that was the reason he seemed different. He was dead, and as much as I wanted to hate him, I was sad he was empty, sad he wasn't the same man anymore."Hello, Gabriel."My voice came out softer than I would have liked, the words burning my tongue. But it didn't matter, I got the desired effect even if the volume wasn't there. He flinched, his eyes widening, his eyebrows twitching up and together, his jaw setting for just a moment. But then it was gone and he looked away, death settling back in his eyes, in the lines of his face.» ✦ «#2 in Angel Romance#3 in Demonology#11 in Thriller#Mature, 18+ for all the reasons.
