Today was an ordinary day. The same day as every day. The start of a monotonous day for some while being an exciting one for others. Today was supposed to be the latter for me. My first day in an abroad country, coming here for my studies. But everything changed when the world started spewing monstrosities, abhorrent creatures, and powers. This is the story following Rudy, who gets trapped in a foreign country when the world decided to metaphorically flip its table. If the [horror] tag didn't already tell you, this story tries to give more focus to the monsters than other Litrpg's and also intends to have a much more serious tone. Freshly anointed cleric Tessa Vivuk aspires to be a Hero after having been saved by one as a child. But when she attempts to join the Heroes' Guild, the doors are shut on her. Unwilling to give up, she joins the Adventurers' Guild and believes she can earn enough recognition to one day be recognized and become a Hero. But Hei Zhao and Torgrak have other plans for her. After quietly sabotaging Tessa's first quest, they offer to be her mentors. Promising to make her amongst the strongest in the world while secretly turning her into a living weapon. Unaware of what's to come, she accepts. However, Hei and Torgrak have been issued a special mission as Custodians of the Adventurers' Guild. The extermination of a cultist infested town. Seeing this as the perfect opportunity, they kidnap Tessa in the night and drag her along with them to reforge Tessa's first weakness: her self-confidence. (1st Arc Done) 7/7/2022: All past chapters have been condensed into 17. The story is slightly shorter than before and one chapter has been removed from the series as of current. This is my Mother Sharon Bouriaque's work. She passed away in 2003. I loved reading my mother's work and she got me into writing. So I'm putting this out there with full credit to her. I have made some modification to technology since there has been a lot of changes to technology from when she wrote this until now. But other than that and a few very basic edits the work is hers. The savage spiderlike race who harvests human types for food. The government leaders are terrified. Earth has no workable defense against ANY invaders from space. However, the Thrans do. They respond to the threat of invasion with an astounding move. They remove the psi-damper from all the people and activate the Scorpion Forces, The psionic warrior who are the elite of the Thran Military units. The Thran’s must also contact a certain youth whom they’ve kept hidden. They must activate the legendary Gold leader, and Jeff Carlisle’s life changes forever when he discovers he is the long-prophesied psionic warrior the Thran’s been hiding.
