Apollo walked down The West Mansion, towards the dining hall.

He never had expected to receive a dinner invitation from The West Brothers.

He wasn't even sure if he should go. But Aristole West, his grandfather, insisted he should.

He still couldn't stop getting chills from what happened merely 6 months ago.

It was stuck in his head as if it happened a few hours ago.

He still remembered the way Diana fell off that cliff as she tried to save his sister Rose.

Nor any words, nor did any actions could ever describe how thankful he was to Diana for saving his sister. Yes, he didn't care. But Rose's blue eyes reminded him of someone.

Someone he loved ever so selflessly. Someone he lost because maybe he never deserved them in the first place.

The way he had rushed to catch Jack by the neck and kicked him in his stomach, just to stop him from doing any further damage.

He took Jack's gun and shot him in his right leg and left arm. To make him unable to do anything anymore.

Elijah was too shocked to do anything. He fell on his knees. Julian quickly rushed to him.

Rose was crying silently.

In a few minutes, the police sirens could be heard from a distance.

Apollo had informed the police just before they came here at this location. He had asked them to wait for sometime before they came in.

But maybe it was too late now.

Gini looked terrified. But she couldn't do anything anymore.

That is when Rose lost consciousness. She was too weak and it was surprising that she made it this far without a relapse.

It's been six whole months since all that happened but the wounds are still so fresh.

Search was Diana was immediately begun after the whole incident. Elijah did everything he could to find his precious Diana. But they couldn't find her.

5 months later a woman's body was found near the area where Diana must've fallen.

It was in such a bad condition that it could not even be identified and so, Elijah still didn't lose hope.

But after a closer analysis, a ring was found on the woman's left ring finger. It was Diana's engagement ring.

The woman's body was 5'6, the same height as Diana.

Diana was declared dead.

Words couldn't explain how devastated Elijah was.

He couldn't move, he couldn't work, he couldn't eat, he couldn't even think.

His brothers knew he was broken. And that is why, the responsibility of handling the family was over Riley and Julian.

Grandfather and their uncles helped, but some things only your close family knows of.

Rose was in an even fragile condition. She could've died.

Turns out, her step father had shot 3 times already. So that when he shoots her the last time before throwing her off the edge, he'd be sure she'd die.

She was in and out of the hospital for 4 months. She was only completely back to normal 2 months ago.

Everything had started coming back to normal. But it would take time.

Their family was too broken now. They needed time.

Especially Elijah.

And to start things off a better start, Rose had decided to invite Apollo to their family dinner today. After all, he was the one who helped them so much.

And here he was, waiting to see what was going to happen next in his life.

"Hey", Rose said when he entered the dining room.

"Hey", he smiled and sat on a chair next to Chris on one side and Dean on the other.

'Maybe, this was the beginning of a better future', Rose thought….
