"if you leave your treasure out for too long...someone's bound to take it"
Those words kept replaying in kenmas mind as he watched the movie that was playing Infront of him. Tendou and rin were sat on either side of you while kenma was sat on the other side of the couch
Rin had his hand placed on your inner thigh, rubbing it gently with his thumb and you were placed on tendous lap with his hands around your waist and his head on your shoulder, a blanket draped over the 3 of use.
Shoyo went back home a few hours prior because his sister was visiting him.
Tendou went down to your ear and whispered something causing you pout a bit. You looked over at kenma who was already staring. You got up suddenly and started to walk over to him making him quickly look away.
"Kenma," you said lightly, standing at the corner of the couch he was on.
He hummed in response, looking up into your eyes
"Are you okay? Your so distant...come be with me" you said with a head tilt.
"I- Uhm. I'm good, I'm just I don't know?" Kenma mumbled, hiding his face
You ducked down gently straddling him, playing with his hair as he tensed up under you.
"Are you sure? you kept looking at me, did you want something?" You asked softly, resting your head on his shoulders. You started to draw circles on his neck all the way down to his collar bone. You felt him get goosebumps making you smirk and let out a breathy chuckle.
"Don't be so shy around me, I'll give you whatever you desire. Just name it" you looked up at his nervous face.
"Jesus..." He muttered, his face was burning red, looking like he might drop dead right there and then

"You seem frustrated...did you need me to hook you up with someone? Or did you want me to give you that pleasure?" You asked softly in a somewhat hypnotic voice.
"huh...." He muttered nervously
"Don't worry ken, No rush" you whispered into his ear, giving him a peck on the nose before getting up to go back to rin and tendou.
"Atta girl, always so obedient huh?" Tendou whispered, kissing you on the neck.
"If you told me to do it to anyone else, I wouldn't do it but it's kenma and he's...good" you muttered the last pasrt, snuggling into tendous chest.
Rin and tendou corner-eyed each other, wide-eyed and confused.
"I'm going to bed." Kenma stated nervously, getting up from the couch to start walking to his room.
"Kenma~" you called, getting up from tendous lap
He gave you a hum in response, turning to look at you. You grabbed his hand and rushed him to the bedroom
"W- huh? What are you doing?" questioned as you closed the door.
"Talk to me, you're not very talkative. I like you, you're cute and funny and you know how to make me smile so why are you so distant? Do you not like me?" you asked lightly with a somewhat sad expression with your back against the door.
"I- Uhm...I don't know, we hardly know each other and-"
"Kozume... that's not the type of 'like' I meant...I'm sorry if I do anything to offend you or hurt you in any way, I'm pretty fucking stupid if I do say so myself and I don't really understand... feelings?"
You said in a guilty tone, looking down at the ground
"But if there is anything I can do to help or anything you want me to change, I'll do it...just so I can get a chance to understand you and be friends with you...I want to get a closer bond. We don't have to be sex buddies or anything like that! we don't even have to like...touch each other if your not comfortable with it. I just want to be closer to you"

You were biting the inside of your cheek and picking at the skin around your nails, you've never done this before but with kenma...it felt somewhat different. The feeling like you needed to make him like you.
Your always so used to living up to everyone's expectations, you would do anything for anybody just so they'll like you but you don't understand that people don't want anything from you, they want you to be happy.
That's all anybody ever wanted for you. Sure some people didn't like you but they didn't truly have a reason or they didn't even know who you were.
The people you hang around love you, they tell you every day that you don't need to do anything for their love.
But it's THEIR love...not yours. Their giving it to you for free so why not pay them back with your love and even more since they gave it to you first?
You weren't sure if kenma liked you or not, he was always so cold and anti-social that you never get to talk to him. You wanted kenma to like you, to be friends with you and to love you like everyone else did because if he didn't, you'd feel like a failure. Like you weren't worthy to talk or speak around him.
That's just how you grew up. Never argue with your elders even if they're wrong. Kenma felt like an elder, so cold and never told you anything. You felt like you were stuck around him and you thought 'just because he seems like an elder, doesn't mean he is one'.
So you tried to be yourself around him but it always felt as though he wasn't even there like he was here but his mind was somewhere else. He didn't even bother to come out of his room most of the time

Blood Seekers -- The Monolith
Blood Seekers - Book 1, is now on Amazon, including the final chapters not posted here! https://www.royalroad.com/amazon/B07MYJ5ZRC “You will die!” That's what the developers of Blood Seekers promised them... The most challenging MMO ever created—that’s how they advertised it. Taglines like, “Not your granddaddy’s game,” and, “Only for the hardest of the hardcore,” had gamers going crazy. Set in a gothic, Lovecraftian world, with fully realized A.I. NPCS, gamers were desperate to get their hands on the new game and dive in, and Clay was one of them. It was going to be tough, but he was ready for it. What he wasn’t ready for, was countless players having their minds hijacked and being transformed into mindless, hostile creatures filled with nothing but hate who killed anyone on sight. They called them the Bloodless. Clay’s best and only friend, Rey, moved across the country she was twelve, but they kept in touch online, playing countless games together, and when Blood Seekers was released, they were both ready to step up to the plate and face the new challenge together. But now, Rey has been taken by the plague, her mind held hostage as one of the Bloodless. A mysterious black monolith has appeared at the center of the highest level zone in the game, a place no one has even come close to. Some say it will provide us with answers. Others say it will only lead to more questions. Who’s behind all this? Why are people’s minds being taken? Will we ever get to bring them back? How many more will be lost if we stay logged in? Nothing is certain, but if there’s any chance that reaching the monolith will bring Rey back back, then Clay will do everything he can to reach it. This is Book 1 in a new series from Stephen Roark! I will be posting chapters here until the book is done and published on Amazon!

Tales of the Willful Autonomous Nanobot Generator
Due to over-engineering and poor parenting; a nanobot generator is sent into the wider universe, ready to solve any and all problems...though probably not the way that was intended, or even hoped for. This story is a first time attempt to use a literary device I came up with, where I use 4 randomly selected songs to write short stories. As such there really won't be any cohesive story thread between chapters. If this gets traction, the likelihood for reader polls to influence the next story are high.

The Meaning of Life
It all started with that voice. One day, a slightly psychopathic teenager named Krey heard a voice in his dream. A goddess's request, a new world, the legacies of the Divine realms, the never-ending storms in the world of Salratia. With the carefree thought of "I shall live as I please~!", Krey sets out to begin his 'otaku' dream. But it is not smooth sailing. Troublesome divine entities, mortal politics and the relationship with his new companions. How could he, a former assassin and former odd-jobs part-time high school student worker (not to mention an otaku), a perfect example of a loner (though he himself doesn't seem to realize it) be able to handle this problem? "Ei! Whatever, there's still a few more centuries! I'll go travel the world in peace!" [Author here. This is my first time writing a story in RRL. Criticism is very welcome as long as it is educational and has some tips and bits of advice for me. I am still learning]
